I have this other machine that I use for rendering. The 30 day trial has expired and now I need to gain access to it to tell MAX where new texture maps are located. How can I do that??

Got a new computer. Copied and upgraded Photoshop CS2 to CS5. I would like to give the old computer to a family member or friend. Will they be able to use the CS2 on the old machine? (an iMac 10.6) or is that the end of that CS2?

View 3 Replies View RelatedTrying to rebuild a win XP system for my wife. Her machine with PS CS has crashed. When I install PS CS upgrade the install routine wants a PS 5.0 disc to verify the license. Then it give an error that "A qualifying version of Photoshop was not detected".
I tried phone support, they verified that we do own a valid copy of CS but could not work because the software is no longer phone supported.
I recently purchased a new machine with Windows 7, loaded my old Photoshop 7.o.1 software on it, and promptly got a "scratch disc full" error message.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSeveral of the operations out of LR 4.2 say I need to update to ACR 7.2. When I go to the Updates screen in CS6, I get a message saying the servers are busy, or possibly there is a problem with the firewall.
I logged off as my normal user and logged back in as the Administrator and tried it again and got the same message.
I switched from a 32-bit PC to a Mac running Windows 7 (64-bit) via Parallels. I installed CS4 and InDesign/ Acrobat are working fine but Photoshop only opens and lets me create but can't save any newly created file nor open anuything including JPGs and PSDs. The installation gave me two Photoshop versions, one says Photoshop 64 bit, and they're both saying "could not complete command because of a program error" when trying to save or "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" when trying to open. I installed the new patch just to be sure.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy old machine, an Acer Aspire One D255 (a 32-Bit Intel Atom N450 @ 1.66GHz with 1 Gb RAM running Win7 Home Premium) netbook did, somewhat amazingly, successfully run PSP X5, albeit slowly (frankly, it struggled). I now have a new notebook (an early birthday present from my partner), which is a Toshiba Satellite C855 running Win8 (64 bit), and the specs for it are listed in my profile here.
I obviously want to transfer (migrate) the software from the old machine to the new one.As my copy of PSP X5 was a downloaded purchase, I have no discs; While the original downloaded installation files were corrupted, due to a massive disk failure last year, I still have the serial numbers, and they're registered to me on the Corel registration database (I checked that first off).
Can I just download the files again, and plug in the existing serial numbers, and if so, where can I download them from, or is there a specific process I have to follow in order to migrate the software? If the latter, what is that process?
Is there anyway to get a timestamp onto the idw. I have been using the one that could be down loaded that Steve Krause had made but that one doesn't work on a 64 bit machine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a DXF file in Autocad LT which I need to import into a CAD Reader for a CNC machine. The cad reader can only view a 2D image of the TOP of the part. The problem is that the view I want the cad reader to see is the RIGHT hand side view in Autocad. Is it possible to reassign the views in Autocad LT 2008 so that the right hand side view become the top view therefore allowing the cad reader to see the correct side.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the DPX9 32-bit trial to install on my desktop running XP SP3 (fully updated) with all security software disabled. Everything went fine until the "Initializing Program" step at the end of installation. After a few seconds I received an MS-error message, followed by a Xara message that installation was successful, again a similar MS-error message, and, finally, a Xara error message telling me that the program could not be started because of -6 error.
I uninstalled the program and downloaded a new copy of the trial but exactly the same happened. I never had such a problem and DP 6, 7 and X are running fine on this machine. The 64-bit version installed without a hitch on the Windows 7 laptop.
If I create a drawing in AutoCAD Architecture 2010 on a 64 bit machine is there any way I can still plot using my old 32 bit printers?
I'm thinking print to dwf or PDF then open the file on my old 32 bit machine for printing?
this is the message I get when trying to save, One or more objects in this drawing cannot be saved to the specific format.
The operation was not completed and no file was created. I was able to save at lunch and now its not a happy camper.
I am trying to figure out how to get autocad2014 and our company's cnc machine to communicate.
The machine uses Solid Ultimate with Screen-to-machine software.
From what ive gathered, I can save my drawing as a R12, R13, R14 version dxf file, which is what is needed for the two programs to talk to each other. The problem is, when i save the dxf file, it saves paper space, not model space. Therefore, all that comes into the cnc program is a titleblock or whatever else I had on the page in paper space.
The cnc program doesnt pick up viewports either.
I need a way to save model space as dxf.
from the star, how would i know where it would start/end if i were to use a laser machine to cut the shape
View 6 Replies View RelatedI use a iMac to capture and tag photos as finalist. I then transfer the folder to another machine for editing. When I add the images into the editing machines lightroom, all the tags, ratings, stars, colors don't show up.
When I was on Lr3 on both machines, these tags transferred. Even when a client used Bridge, they showed up. Now, not so much.

This is true of both machines.
I have installed Lightroom 5 Beta on my new Windows 8 PC a few weeks ago and have a serious problem with it - ocassionally (From a few minutes to an hour), while I am working on Lightroom, I get a blue screen saying something about a problem with "Memory Management", and the PC reboots.

The pc runs Elements 7 with all images tagged in Organizer.
D: is a separate physical 1TB drive. D: is backed up to a USB drive; this backup drive (500GB) is now almost full (it also backs up other machines drives) hence why I will use the current 1TB image drive as backup and retire/reuse the 500GB drive.
I now have a new 64 bit pc with its own 1TB drive, on which I would like to run Lightroom 4 with Elements 10 for additional editing. I would like to store the both Main Images currently on D: drive in C:UsersMeMy Pictures on the new machine. The 1TB drive from the old machine is now in a USB housing and will act as the onsite backup for all the images and image data and other machines drives.
I have all my images tagged in Elements 7. Can Lightroom read/use these tags?
If so what is the best way to get my images and their tags into C:UsersMeMy Pictures and Lightroom?
When creating a work path on a new layer, the path is a grayish black color is there a way to create that path to be a different color, yellow for instance? Using CS6, I don't see it in preferences anywhere

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some negative space I created(black area, see first image) that I want to fill with type, not just a simple fill.
Basically I want to create the negative space from a bunch of small minus signs(-) that need to line up as they go across. If I type on each path one at a time as the text doesn't line up that way. This needs to be one continuous path. (see second image)
Unfortunately if I add them together, it creates a compound path, which you cannot type on, unless I am mistaken? So I need them to be a path, not a compound object.
In illustrator, is there a way to reduce anchors points in a segment path without altering the path?
Is there a better and more efficient way to reduce anchors points than using the pen-minus tool?
