I was wondering what's the easiest way to set up a first person camera? I have a rigged character dancing around and I've tried to link a free camera to the characters head but the camera doesn't move with the character.
View 3 RepliesI very often need to take the background away from a person the only examples show a solid color background. That is not what I need to know. What I need to do is take a person out of a background without having them look like helmet heads. So often I receive camera-ready ads with photographs that have been revised. The creator uses the lasso tool and cuts a person away from the background and the head looks like a helmet. Does CS4 (or, for that matter, CS3) have an easier way to do that as compared to CS2?

quick and convenient way to keep projects in step between computers, e.g. doing some work on a laptop and then bringing that back to a main PC for further editing, then back to laptop, etc.? Is exporting as a Smart Package the way to go? Are there any alternatives such as keeping a consistent folder structure on both machines so that all media paths are the same and just syncing the differences?

The source photos are all different sizes. Is there a faster/easier method of producing something like this rather than resizing every image to fit a predefined size and then manually placing them on separate layers?
When creating movies from video taken I add both background music, narration and sometimes sound effects.
When using background music in particular I prefer to reduce the volume during narration so that the narration can easily be heard. I have been doing that using the 'rubber band' by trial and error - I reduce the volume by 'pulling' the 'rubber band' down a little and then preview that section of the video to check if the volume level is correct/to my satisfaction. I note that during the process of adjusting sound level with the 'rubber band' that there is a sound level 'meter' (in decibels) but I don't seem to be able to use it. Is this (adjusting the sound level in decibels) the method I should be using and if so how is it used?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI thought this was going to be a piece of cake in the new Illustrator CC but I am having a few unanticipated issues:)I need to create some vector tire images with different edges, such as the top one in the image below.So I thought this would be SO easy by simply creating a pattern brush in Illustrator and then using that for the outside. So I created the shape you see in the middle image below and created a pattern brush with this shape.I then created an ellipse and used the new brush for the outline.
All of those are open paths...it has taken the shape and applied it to the outline but has kept each shape separate, so I am not able to fill the circle in black. I could of course go in and manually join each little corner separately where the little shapes meet but this will take FOREVER with all the images I have to do.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason when using the path option in inventor studio for camera animation the camera rolls for no reason?? I have created two helical curve sketches around my product, the outer curve is the path for the camera and the inner curve is the path for the target. Both curves are the same height and have 1 revolution. When i play the camera it works out fine untill it hits 1/4 of the way through and suddenly flips 180 degrees so now the camera is upside down, once it hits 3/4 of the way it flips back again to the correct rotation. If i dont create an inner curve for the target and place the target directly in the centre of my product with no path to follow the camera spins all over the place when it follows the curve.

Canon software views images. Suspect my minimum camera raw plug in version does not support this new camera..I am unable to locate in the software any menu item that allows me to view the camera raw plug in version.
I don't know how to phrase it correctly but the 3d camera tracker inside of After Effects will only apply key frames to the null object. This causes the footage to rotate around itself.
