Page Size = A4
Page Boarder = 1cm
Layout of pics = 3 rows x 3 columns
Number of pictures per page = 9 (rectangular)
Picture frames = 50mm all round (except bottom = 1cm)
Space between frames = 50mm
What I want to know is how big (in mm) should the pics be in order for them to fit on the page?
I try to work it out using guidelines and grids but it just ends up getting way too complicated!
I have a hardback book cover. I have created its layout. I want add crop marks to having different measurements (0.9375 x 0.875 inches) is it possible ??
I'm using a shared computer at a university and we just upgraded to CS6. When I use the line tool while making a mask a box pops up which measures the line's length and angle.
I want to turn it off, and it blocks being able to see what I am trying to mask. I've tried looking this up online and in Photoshop but I just don't know the correct terminolgy, i.e. what to call it, to find out how to turn it off.
I have a template (.psd) that looks like this..Now I can see the image height and width by going to IMAGE, then IMAGE SIZE. But what I need to do is see the template measurements (where the blue lines are) so I can adjust thing like spine width. I am so completely lost here. I have no clue how to do that or where in the menu to look.
This template was created for me by someone I knew, but he has since moved out of town and I cannot get ahol of him. A bindery has given me dimensions as follows: Spine width = 1-15/16" , Front cover = 6-15/16" , Back cover = 6-15/16" , Height = 10-1/4"
I need to adjust my template accordingly. God only knows how. Or maybe I can create a new template, but I'm lost there too. Yes, I have read numerous web pages and even watched some videos, but none have covered my actual issue.
I have been sent 2 CAD files and need to add measurements to certain parts of the drawings. How to add measurements to a drawing and then print the drawing with these measurements?
I am unable to use properly CorelDRAW X4 due to measurement issues.I have a simple document I wish to work on with size 20,45cm x 15,40cm
I first create a new empty file (A4). Then I click on the empty working area and select on the toolbar the measure of the area (where I already find 210 cm and 297 cm). I try to change the measure from 210 to 180 (as example) and after I type 180 and press enter the value changes to 1,800 cm and the working area becomes very very big.
I am unable to obtain what I need.I do not understand the behavior of this software and do not know what to do.I tired to delete Corel user profile but nothing has changed. The software has always worked properly. My OS is Windows 7 Pro x64.
I am setting up an artboard 7 x 3.375. When I enter the 3.375 Illustrator changes it to 3.38. Is there a way to change it so it keeps the exact dimensions I entered?
I opened up my AutoCAD LT 2010 this morning at work and went to work on an existing file only to notice I have lost the ability to type in measurements. Meaning, when I go to draw a line I don't have that option to just type in 2.00 or whatever measurement I need. Same with drawing a rectangle or fillet; the down arrow prompt has dissappeared and I no longer can specify length by width (or radius/dia with fillet). Did I accidently hit something to cause this to dissappear?
I am new in civil 3d 2012 software and i have a major problem. i am a survey engineer and i have a topcon 3005 LN total station for using in field. i want to convert measurements from field into xyz coordinates via methods of civil 3d. i find that civil 3d uses fbk format (i don't know what is it), but my total station uses TOP format (ascii)
i ll give you two examples

I've just downloaded Autocad 2013 and I cannot figure out how to measure linear or angular dimensions. I'm familiar with older versions of Autocad, but this is the first time I've tried to use 2013.
I have made a floorplan, but I have not added dimensions, and was wondering if there was a command to display the measurements even if the floor-plan is made.
I receive drawings from others and do material take-offs. I need to learn how to make real measurements electronically in a drawing so I can stop having them plotted so I can use a scale.
I have PSPro X.Often when I capture an image, figures show which I presume is the image size measurements. What can I do to avoid these figures being seen in the screen capture target area.
I've done a 3D frame in Inventor 2012 and after doing a 2D with a partlist chart I found differences between lengths. The length of the part list was the first one, the frame was modified and the partlist didnt update.
Found out that the d18 parameter was a fixed number. I managed to change it manually by changing the G_L parameter to d18.How can I set up my inventor to update the part length automatically?
I'd like to create a lisp that would check my drawings for stray vertices (I only draw in full measurements per UCS), and automatically round them up to the closest whole value, or at least mark them up in circles for manually fixing them.
I cannot remove old settings/measurements from Lightroom 4.1 crop custom settings panel. I thought it was supposed to remove old ones as new were added this is not happening.the panel is full and I cannot remove to add new.
I was trying to use the guides to make a triangle and everything was fine until I used a third guide on one of the triangles points (2 guides; 1 at 90 degrees and 1 at 60 degrees). When I used the dimension tool on it to measure from the bottom of the page to that point, the measurement did not match the numbers in the 90 degree guide's info. It was like .0000007 or .00000007 inches off. I know that's not much but I really needed precision for my particular drawing and I dont know how to get more accurate measurements with the program rounding to the nearest 6th decimal place (the highest setting on drawing precision). If it says it's centered in the intersection, then why do I see a tiny micro right triangle when I zoom in?
Any good way to convert decimal values to fractions for use in inch measurements? I have a script that works great but it returns values like 5.5638 and I'd rather it return the closest fraction answer like 5 9/16. 1/16ths would be great, but I'd settle for 1/8ths.
I started trying to come up with a large if with lots of > and < conditions, but it might be better not to reinvent the wheel.
I started to get this strange error with my Photoshop when making a new document in Photoshop and got the following error: "cannot initiate Photoshop because Photoshop cannot create any more windows".
I thought the easiest thing to do would be to reinstall (Photoshop needs reinstalling extremely often unfortunately), but now when I try and open the program it just give an alert beep and closes back up. Even though I rarely use ImageReady, I opened that up to check and it does the same behavior.
Can anyone tell me what color settings I need to set in photoshop in order to avoid this from happening? It only happens once in a while and I don't know what I've done to fix it or screw it up. What happens is that when I'm in photoshop and I do a "save for web" my document jumps to image ready and when viewing '2 up' for optimization purposes and comparison, I realize that the original view is actually duller in color and does not look like the original in photoshop. The blacks are definitely not as black.
when I got my first Macintosh IICX and all of my MacPaint clip art. I don't want to get rid of the clip art because since I'm still using a black ink printer and not upgrading to a color one, the clip art looks nice in newsletters and the like.
Up until this time I had been using SuperPaint which had the New Superbits editing plug-in to refine the pictures so they had the smoother and cleaner lines instead of looking jagged. With my new computer and printer, I'm also getting Photoshop CS packaged with Adobe Creative Suite Premium, which I have never used before. Since I have not received my order yet, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether Photoshop has the capability of improving the older MacPaint clip art like SuperPaint did with the New SuperBits editing plug-in. Over the past two days, I have been trying like crazy to back-up my pictures with SuperPaint and then re-saving them with Graphic Converter. It's been so incredibly slow that I thought I would go ahead and ask you, the experts, if Photoshop can also improve the quality of my older MacPaint clip art or if I should continue to back-up my clip art like I have been doing.
I have just got back from the Elbow gig and pulled the images off the card. They load up in Bridge but don't have actual picture thumbnails. They are named correctly, ie: IMG_3483.CR2 but they won't open!? Error message says 'Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognise this type of file'
I could see them on the back of the camera.
mac users... i did a software update the other day and I noticed that there was an update for ACR. Could it have been something to do with that? And why can't I find ACR in my Applications?
