View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using videos as PiP's and I want to use the fade in/out feature, but am finding that it takes 15 seconds for the fade to complete, some of the PiPs I am using are only 45 seconds long, so to fade in/out is going to take 30 seconds leaving only 15 seconds of full video. Is there any way that the fade time frame can be reduced. In Elements 11, fade in/out takes 1 second and this is what I would like to achieve in X6 if it's possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI now know how to get my main video and overlay tracks to cross fade. I also know that the default cross fade effect using the overlay properties option has a duration of approx 30% of the entire clip.
Is there a way to control the duration of the overlay fade in / fade out?
There's a section of my video that needs a bit more saturation, especially with an effect, but applying it just "jumps" it in. Is it possible to keyframe the saturation? Or is there an effect that has a saturation control so I can add it as an effect and keyframe it's levels from there?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to edit a music performance shot with multiple cameras, both video and still, using VS X4. I'd like to e.g. insert (full-screen pan & scan) still pictures into the video stream with video cross-fading in and out, but I cannot find a way to get a satisfactory end result without breaking audio/video synchronization.
I've tried the following:
a) Put the picture on the overlay track. If I now put cross-fades on the overlay track, the fades are to/from black, not between main track video and overlay still, which is not the desired result. It is expected functionality, though, so no bug there.
b) Put the picture on the same (main) track with the video. First, I split the audio to a separate audio track to keep it intact. Then I split a piece of video out using chapter markers as guides and replace the cut-out piece with a still picture of equal duration. So far audio sync remains fine. But if I now insert cross-fades into the main track, it gets out-of-sync with the audio with every cross-fade (video gets shorter, probably to compensate for the audio missing in the still pictures?), and it is really cumbersome to manually repair sync after every transition.
Would there be any way to get cross-fades in for multi-camera processing without messing audio synchronization? Some nice function key (press CTRL/SHIFT/ALT etc. while dropping the transition onto the overlay track to force it to process between the overlay and the main video track instead)?
Using VideoStudio X4 Ultimate 14.2.0.23 I have the following issue:
When doing a crossfade between video clips, the audio crossfades just fine in the preview of the edit screen in X4. However, after exporting to DVD 14:9 format, in the resulting MPG video the audio of the first clip correctly fades out, while the audio of the second clip doesn't fade in... it just jumps in.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have some text spiraling inward along a path (about 20 words). How can I make the individual words (or characters) fade as they near the center of the spiral (while leaving new words at the start of the path at their full opacity until they too reach the center)? I've played with various parameters (including start, end, and offset - and opacity) and have come close, but can't quite get it - and after completing spiral, text sometimes becomes opaque again and heads off at tangent to last segment of spiral.

My Hard Disk crashes (and the second one with backups too ) so i lost these brushes. This kind of brushes have some configuration under the brush engine (like colo dynamics and scattering)...very useful for portrait backdrop,
Lets say you got a picture set up, we'll say the picture is a sky with clouds. And you want to add pictures/images , we'll say pictures are of people.... and you want to add them on the picture of the sky without overlaping it (which normally turns out deleting out that portion of the picture). How is that possible to add it but somehow meshing it in...
