View 6 RepliesI'm having problems getting super elevation data to transfer to different drawings by means of an alignment data shortcut. I know alignments hold the super elevation data so I've gone into my alignments data shortcut, input my super elevation data, saved and closed. Now when I open my finished grade drawing, reference in my alignment and profiles, then create a corridor from that information, my super elevation didn't transfer with the reference.
I pulled cross sections and it appears is has no clue there is any super elevation data. Also, I tried bringing it directly into the drawing I'm doing my corridors in and it erred saying I must be in the parent alignment drawing. Data shortcuts are pretty much useless to me if super elevation data doesn't transfer.

When adding metadata in LR3 I have LR set for 'IPTC and EXIF'. I add keywords, copyright info, etc. Under IPTC I add location info - city, state, description, caption, etc. After exporting to CS5 and opening in photoshop - going into 'File Info', second tab - 'IPTC', the location info fields are blank in the 'Description of Image'. Am I assuming incorrectly that this is the same info from LR and that should 'tag' along to the PS file? Other data such as, keywords, copyright, EXIF, are being transferred from LR to PS.
Would be easier for me to select multiple images, apply the info, sync and go on. I'm having to go back into PS, add the info, export a template and apply that template to each file.
I have an object with an Object Data Table attached filled in with information. Is it possible to copy the table and information from that object to another object? Tried the obvious, Match Properties, and it did nothing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe recently tried to convert a RAW data file to FBK and the program aborted after running several setups. I have viewed the raw data on the data collector, but there appears to be no error. What other methods of conversion could I use to convert the RAW data file to a TXT file? I was hoping that our local AutoCad/Topcon dealer would be able to have a work-around, but they seemed stumped too. We have never encountered a problem usitlizing the Survey data Collection Link with any of our traverses prior to this time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe use Survey Data Collection Link to convert our file formats, in this case it is a GPS job exported from a TSC2 using Trimble Survey Controller Version 12.46. I exported the job from the data collector as a .csv file then use SDCL to convert the .csv into a .fbk file. I am getting this error saying the file is invalid or in use. We ran into this problem a couple months ago and it disappeared after a couple days, and now it has resurfaced.

I mistakenly created a collection when only one file was highlighted. I made another collection with all the other files I wanted in it, but I can't drag that one file from the filmstrip..
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I specify a smart collection rule that says the source must be a collection matching some pattern, does this only apply to actual collections and exclude collection sets?
I was hoping fo a way to build a rule based on the collection set ... is this possible?
I also tried matching Any Searchable Text set to the collection set name, but that doesn't seem to work...wouldn't all photos in the collection set be associated with that string? Looks like no.
There used to be a way I thought that you could submit a new thread after doing a question search. That seems to be gone.
Is there a way to convert a collection to a smart collection?
I am using NextGEN to export images to WordPress. NextGEN created Publishing collections in Lightroom to match those in my WordPress blog. My problem is that they are not Smart Collections.
I am trying to create a new collection but I find that I do not have a "Set collection as target" (or whatever the correct phrase is, since I don't have it.) I have right clicked and examined all menu options.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhat are the rules for how elements (specifically, collections and other collection sets) are ordered within a collection set?
I was trying to get a collection to appear at the top of the list of items in a collection set, but it seems to get stuffed below all the other collection sets regardless of the name given to the collection.
I am working on parsing the psd file and saving the data as per doc of photoshop 6. I need to make an image from the layer data alone with different combinations of layers selected, visible etc... and not using the merged data section in the file.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy version of Photoshop CS6 is an upgrade from CS5 which was an upgrade from CS4, etc. When I deactivate and uninstall CS6 on old PC and then install and activate it on my new PC, using the license #s for CS6, will it look for my former CS5 version to validate that my install is legitimate?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm picking up my new PC today and I want to transfer PS CS3 & CS4 to it. What my query is that my copies of CS3 & 4 are upgrade discs. If I recall correctly, when I install CS3, its going to want to verify the upgrade by asking for a disc containg an earlier version of PS.My problem is that I have mislaid my copies of CS & CS2, but I still have a copy of PS7. Will CS3 accept this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI’m going to be getting a new computer soon and was wondering about how to change over my Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 to the new computer. In the past, when upgrading to a new computer, I could deactivate Photoshop through the help menu. Photoshop CC no longer shows that option, and since only two copies are allowed at once, I’m at a loss as to how to retire the copy I have now and switch the account to the new computer in such a way that Adobe can verify I have done so. I also have both Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 on another computer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am struggling with getting actions I created or used on my Mac in CS6 to work on my PC (also CS6) at work. Would this be some kind of issue because they might have been created in an earlier version of CS? I have downloaded actions from the internet and used them on the PC version of CS6 and they have been totally fine.
Any actions that I've sent myself from my MC to PC simply won't open, I get the following error message: 'Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop'.
Is there anything I can do to get this working? For the record I get the same error with gradients as well.
I currently have CS6 on my desktop. If I buy a new computer is there any problems with Re-registering the program from my old and downloading it to the new?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from CS5 to CS6. The CS5 license was on a PC, the CS6 license is on my new Mac.
I have access to my old PC still, but I have not been able to figure out how to transfer my Actions or my Camera Raw presets (.XMP files) to the Mac. I need access to these Actions asap and am not able to recreate them.
Photoshop CS5 is up and running on my new iMac all-in-one. However, when I transferred my photos from my old PC (Photoshop 6.0) the captions from all .psd files transferred successfully but none of the captions from .jpeg files transferred. I used a simple transfer of the photos from an external disk to "My Pictures" on the iMac. How can I redo this transfer so that ALL of the captions get transferred?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have attempted to do multiple searches not only on the forums but also on other search engines and I have been unsuccessful.
I have done the following multiple times with same results. Note: I have CS6 on my personal Macbook Pro, my wife’s Macbook Pro and my work PC also running CS6.
I created an original image on MY Macbook Pro using CS6. I saved this image at the highest resolution possible to my computer. I can reopen and at all sizes of zoom there is no pixilation.
I saved this file to a thumb drive (also tried emailing) and opened the file on my wife's Macbook Pro and when I zoom I begin to see pixilation. This can also be seen on the printed copy of the image whereas that is NOT the case on my MacBook Pro.
I attempted the same process to my work PC however I received the same result. what I am doing incorrectly that is causing the image to become pixelated on any computer other than my own?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new laptop computer....I had Adobe Photoshop CS2 installed on my desktop computer...have not used it much at all. So, just yesterday I did the "Transfer Activation "thing". I did as instructed...Installed it on my laptop...(this new laptop is an HP Pavilion with 2GB, Intel Centrino, Light Scribe, and Windows Vista).
When I was through installing it (it said I installed successfully)....then I was told to register it... ...I did so...using my new address (of the laptop)...It told me It registered successfully.
I then proceeded to download updates....when all was said and done, and rebooted...said the updates were installed successfully as were the registration, and updates.
I want to move my PS and other adobe apps over to the new one. What do I need to do beside deleting the copy of PS on my old computer to make everything on the up and up?
