Nov 11, 2012I have an animated gif in which I put in a transparent background on all the frames a long time ago. But the edges of the images were all anti-aliased, so the edges look pretty bad on a much different background. Now I want to change it back to the black background on each frame, and the origial file is lost.
I went through each frame and used Select by color to select the transparency, then Edit to fill the selection with black. However, most frames have a layer boundary that is smaller than the image size because the animation does not always fill the screen. The background on each layer/frame is still transparent. When I saved that work, only the current layer boundary in each frame shows - the rest is transparent. So instead of an unchanging size image with a black background, I get a variable sized one.
So I thought I would remove the alpha channel from each frame. That looks ok while the whole image is open in GIMP, but when I go to save it, GIMP puts the alpha channels back in each frame! I don't know why it's doing that. But I did notice that when I preview the animation with the alpha channels removed, artifacts are visible when the next frame is smaller than the one before it, so I don't know that it's what I want, anyway.
Can I change the alpha channel from completely transparent to completely black? how to make the blackgrounds transparent, but I can't find anything about undoing it.

Nov 19, 2013Just wants to get some simple "animated words" traced with a white background (instead of the background being "dimmed" looseleaf paper)
To explain, here's a comparison example of what I'm trying to achieve:
Imagine the phrase:
EGG-CELERATING THE PACE OF FERTILITY
Where the letter E is:
The vertical part of the E is a stalk of Celery
The horizontals of the E are cartons of Eggs.
Where the "P" of Pace looks like a basic line drawing of a "pacing shoe"
...with perhaps "anxious" looking eyes drawn inside the shoe
...yet still look like a P
...and the remainder is [roughly] like my attached letters on Dim looseleaf background. (see attached)
How would you achieve the EGG-CELERATING phrase? I bet an expert could achieve this within 1/2 hour or less, can't they? So I'm trying to achieve the same as the above:
...albeit it's a different phrase, and different BASIC pics.
...in other words, it's mostly outlined-alphabet, but including 4 basic pictorial-letters, and some more letters containing "eyes"
P.S. Regarding the attachment, note that I placed that in a Layer which I called Layer1
Then tried selecting it & changing background to White But was unsucessful.
Photoshop :: Animated GIF In Layered File
Nov 19, 2012I created a Photoshop file with text and background layers. The client wants me to place an animated GIF in the center of the file.
How do I get all but 3 layers which comprise the animated GIF to not go into the animated gif timeline on the bottom of the screen. I can only get this to work by turning off all the text and background layers. I need the timeline to just have 3 layers in it and only those layers move.

here is the base image...
What i need done is that I need the punisher wallace part gone.
In its place, I need it to say this:
"If you can see us in your sector news, its too late."
I would prefer that the lettering be in red for that bit.
On the Half of the pic with the Skull, I need it to say Wolfpack on one side, and Fenris on the other side.
I would do it myself, but for the following 3 things.
1) I have no idea how.
2) I do not currently have the use of photoshop as I had to re-format my HD and cant find my disc.
3) I figured there would be many Intellegent, and Skilled people here on this web-board, who might be willing to help.
And before you start wondering what the hell this all means, it is for a game called Starkingdoms. I need to design a new sector banner, and I really like this one. Thanks.

Feb 9, 2009I made an animated gif in photoshop and saved it and made sure it worked. My problem is that I have a psd file that I am trying to put the animated gif into. When I try to paste it into my psd, it say that it will lose information if i save over it. I do not know what to do?! How do i put an animate gif into a psd?
I tried to go into image ready and save the psd into an html and then open the html in dreamweaver and replace the pic but it doesn't let me either because it saved the psd as a jpg and created an html and I cant put an image of the jpeg that was made in dreamweaver.

Aug 6, 2004I created an animated gif in ulead cool 3d. I also have a psd file that is used for a web banner. It contains slices and several different layers including some rollovers. What I want to be able to do is insert the animated gif into the psd file and have it still work as an animated gif while keeping the original psd file intact. Not quite sure what I need to do to get this to work since I am sort of a noob when it comes to graphic design.

Sep 16, 2013I used to be able to create animated gif's easily from unsaved files. I would simply select all the layers I wanted to use and process them.
After upgrading to CS6, I'm totally lost. I've followed half a dozen tutorials, but nothing works. The only way I can even load a frame into the Windows Timeline feature is to first save several images from my unsaved file, then reload them by choosing File > Scripts > Load Files into Stacks. But even then I can't find a Make Frames from Layers option when I click the down arrow on the right side of the palette.
Is there a simple way to create animated gif's from layers in an unsaved file on CS6, or do I need to reinstall my older Photoshop version in order to created animations?

Aug 6, 2012I created an aniamted gif in AE, and exported as as QT, then looking to convert to animated gif.
I can compress it from 21mb, to 1.2mb but need to go smaller. I dont want to use flash, I want it to work on all device.

I am trying to use this text to put on a video clip with effects, and would like to have the text on clip, but if I use the background You will not be able to see video effect I want behind the text. I tried the wand, and unless I missed a step or something different, it didn't work. I am a noob, but trying to learn.
