View 7 RepliesI have been doing this 1 by 1 for the first 100 photos and I now have a headache. I am doing this 1 by 1, anyway that I can do this way more easier? I am just converting from high to low res. Image size, changing "Bicubic Sharper" to "convert to profile" "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" then to "8RGB".

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently started an event photography company. The problem that I have is the large volume of pictures I need to adjust at the same time. Doing it one by one is really time consuming. In a nut shell: I need to but the name of the event on each picture as well as a color frame. Is there some kind of automation I can use?
I'm using CS3,
I took a group of photos for some jewelry. I then transfered them to my computer. Then I selected all and opened with photoshop. Sometimes photoshop will open them in order and other times photoshop opens that in a shuffled order.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 900 files I need to print out. I created an action that simply prints the current document, then closes it. The problem is, photoshop is printing the files out in random order. The files are numerically ordered, it should print in order.
I go to File -> Automate -> Batch and select the printing action that I recorded and set the folder that contains the image files. The image files are all labeled numerically from the data set merge I did within photoshop.
The problem is, even though this list is in numerical order, photoshop will print these out in random order. For example, the file folder containing the image files is listed below in correct order.
Instead photoshop printed them in this order: CustomMailer_Data Set 1, CustomMailer_Data Set 10, CustomMailer_Data Set 11, CustomMailer_Data Set 12, CustomMailer_Data Set 13, CustomMailer_Data Set 14, CustomMailer_Data Set 16
I really need this bulk action to print them out in order, what the program is doing.

how to create an action or script that could take all images in a folder and crop them to an aspect ratio of 16:9 and then resize them to 640x360?
I can't just change the pixels to 640x360 because that would distort the images as the current aspect ratios are not 16:9.
I have several thousand drawings that have been provided from various sources. It has become obvious that there have been gaps in the QA process in the past and not all suppliers have used the supplied ctb files. This is causing an issue when creating some PDFs (automatically through a document management system) as, unless we go into every drawing and manually update the ctb file, the colours are not what we are needing. We have also found that some of the CTB files defined in drawings have either not been provided to us, or have been deleted over the years so we do not know what has been used.
Is there any way to: programmatically change the ctb on all drawings? list the ctb files in use so we can report on it and see how big an issue it is? force the drawing to use the supplied ctb file regardless of the one that has been defined within the drawing? I've not been involved with drawings for long and am more a "process" type of person.
I glanced at the plugin section but couldn't find it.
Is there a way to do a batch resize of several pictures in paint.net?
Most of the time I got issue with placed pictures that I have to take a lot of time to do it one by one, so I am looking for any action to peform in bulk as follow:
1. Select all pictures and change their 'Placment Options'
2. Replace all pictures with only one same picture
3. Cancel the repacement at once (if you select 100 pictures to relink, then you decide to cancel you'll have to press Esc 100 times too!)
I tried to create action for Placement Options too, but seems that the action cannot be recorded with such activity. Are all these improved in CS6?
So, I've recently purchased Lightroom and love it. Only problem is adding lens profile to each photo. I worked out there is a bulk setting, but I use multiple Canon lenses, the 24-105, the 70-200 and 60mm Macro. If I apply lens correction in bulk to all images it will go by what's on the first image. Say for example the first image was taken with the 60mm it will apply that correction to all photos despite what lens they were taken with.
I went through the rest and unticked and reticked Canon and it selected the correct lens this time, but not in bulk. What is the correct way to set this to happen in bulk or is it not possible?
Is it possible to use the Window Schedule to create many windows at once? For example we have a Excel spreadsheet that describes a window on each row. The columns specify the x, y, z, width, height, type, etc.
15, 10, 1, 1.3, 1.5, M_Fixed
1, 10, 1, 1.3, 1.5, M_Fixed
15, 1, 1, 1.3, 1.5, M_Fixed
If we paste this information into a Schedule with the same columns will it automatically create these windows with the correct properties(position, dimensions, type, etc.)?Also would it be possible to do the same with other elements such as Pipes and Pits? How would we specify the family for these elements?
I am trying to add two layers (A-FURN-3-CGDS-VV-1 & A-FURN-3-CGDS-HH-1) to about 4,700 DWG files, any way to bulk process something like this. We use blocks for furniture symbols, and have about 4,700 of them that need these specific layers in them in order to work with a rendering software we use that is based on the layer names. I will also need to go in and select parts of the drawings to put on one layer, and other parts for the other manually, but if I could start with the DWG files having the layers in them it would save a little time.
How to have the bulk process put everything in the DWG file onto one of the layers (VV) while processing.
By mistake I have imported presets twice and as they are huge in numbers, I would like to know a method to delete those duplicate presets using an easy method.
Note: I don't want to find every duplicate preset one by one and thus asking for a solution to find all the duplicate presets at once and then delete it.
is there a method or setting to force LR4 to update the prewies in "bulk", means outside of the grid too?
problem is that when applying development changes on image sequences with hundreds of images, or even a smaller bunch of images LR4 only shows the applied changes in the current grid view.
for updating the previews one has to go back and forth in preview by hand. this seems a bit stone age and can take a while.
this was never a problem in bridge, which - although it took its time to create ALL previews - afterwards allowed for quick scrolling trough images with all previews generated. this was especially good for watching stop-motion movies and applying xmp RAW development changes.
for LR4 RC3, this would be a nice option to have... classic, like it is now, and a "force update previews outside grid view" with a true progress indicator / counter, like with bridge.
an example where we started using lightroom during production and ran exactly into the problem of slow / missing preview updates after applying batch XMP / development changes can be seen here (about 32000 raw files processed, 7500 used for the film)[url].....
At present I am needing to export a large number of ESRI shape files from AC Map 2011 for use in a GIS application. I know that Map 3D has the export features but after completing 50 exports its does get repetitive and is time consuming.
Is there any way of specifying the name or names of the layers you wish to export and apply attributes to them without having to use the Map 3D Export process?
Bulk/batch rename styles and is it time consuming? I work in a multi-lingual office where it would be advantageous for people to work in their native tongues but it does make working on someone else's civil 3D file difficult if you don't know the language.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am designing a solar field and have my solar panels laid out in a grid. I have each panel represented as a block with 4 attributes: Column, Row, Module Type, and Combiner Box. There are ~5,000 panels so it will take forever to modify the attributes of each block individually. Is there a way I can select multiple blocks (an entire column for instance) and set the "Column" attribute for ALL of those blocks to the appropriate value?
My end goal is to be able to export the information in those blocks to excel. So if there is any way to tie 4 pieces of information to an object and export it into excel not using block attributes, that would work for me as well.
I attempted to use Lee Mac's Batch Attribute Editor BAtteV1-4.lsp and it was very close to what I needed. But it will modify the specified attribute of all blocks within a drawing, whereas I only want to modify the attributes of all blocks within a selection.
Is there a way to bulk edit photos by pixel size? I'm going through an eBay nightmare where the minimum pixel size on the longest side will need to be 500. I have thousands of images. First: will corel 12 sort images by pixel dimensions? or is there a program somewhere that will? Second: can I then take the smaller images and bulk resample them to 500 pixels on the longest side?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI accidentally included a file rename when I just imported a batch of several hundred pictures. I violated a rule that I teach my own Lightroom students, and that is to look carefully at the import panel choices before proceeding.
How can I correct this so that the files are named as they originally were? I know how to easily fix the filenames in Windows (using a tool called BulkRename, for example), but then I'd have to "find" each image one-by-one and correctly point to the renamed version. I tried selecting all the images and then using F2 to rename, but none of the templates allow deleting a portion of the filename.
P.S. Here is an example of what I mean:
ON CARD:
IMG_0001.NEF
...
IMG_0300.NEF
WHAT I RENAMED TO ACCIDENTALLY:
IMG_0001 {shot by John Doe}.NEF
...

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe've tried EasyRGB and Bruce Lindenbloom's method and neither is quite perfect. One shifts the color red, giving it a pink hue - the other shifted it more green at times.
Konica Minolta seems to get the conversion best but they have a proprietary software (SpectraMagic NX) and I don't know how they do it. Are there any alternatives?
I'm trying to see if there is a way for me to convert a .psd file to a color-separated .eps file. It's for a T-Shirt design, and it would save me around $100
