I am trying to create a graphic style that will give me a frame that has the 3d rounded effect. Bevel and Extrude isn't what I am looking for... I have a pic here with a bevelled edge effect, but it has a flat surface...and I want it to look round...

These pegs are about 3 or 4 inches long with a tapered base to fit inside a hole for mounting. The base of the peg sits flush on the wooden surface and has a wide base which is tapered to a narrow top. The top looks like a mushroom head.

In order to do that, I've expanded this shape and created a ellipse with no stroke above button, with transparency/screen. This is what I got:
Now I need to get rid of the rest of ellipse, so the button will be transparent on upper boundaries. Inner part of button should be white, but whatever I put between button and ellipse should receive glossy effect. How to do that?
Attached there is a picture made through PhotoScape where big outline rectangle is rounded. I am trying to do similar one through PSP. Drawing I found some difficulties:
a) How to create a rounded rectangle? I tried to use “rectangle tool” but I couldn’t find adjust to make it “rounded”.
b) Considering the possibility to create a “rounded rectangle” and applying “shadow drop” on it, will the shadow appear “rounded” as well? Or is there something to do?
c) In some tests I made applying “shadow drop” on a normal rectangle (as a new layer) the only adjust I could make after that was on “shadow size” (dragging the mouse). I couldn’t find a way to access effect properties to readjust attributes as “opacity” or “blur”. How to come back to “shadow drop” configuration panel (attached) to readjust settings as opacity or blur?
Using Illustrator CS5 I am drawing a 5 drawer cart in the 2D Perspective grid. After drawing one drawer with connected sides, back and bottom I want to be able to copy and move this drawer 4 times into the correct positions in the cart. I do not want to redraw the drawer 4 times. I know I must use the Perspective Selection Tool to do this. However, I cannot get it to move the entire copied drawer into the next position. I have tried using PathFinder to unite the parts of the drawer and the Compound Path command but to no avail. How can I accomplish this task?

Open a pictureClick the layer mask button twiceThen use the rectangle tool to get my rounded corners on the preloaded image - Presto, all done!
This does not work in CS6. I just want to have rounded corners (radius 5) to my photos.

Right now I extend the rectangle but the edges also extend.

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday one of my friend asked me how to create star with round edge as opposed to pointed edge. Quite fascinated by his challenge I started my beloved CorelDraw and drew a star with 40 spikes at a depth of 10. Since the stars have pointed edge, I used the Filler tool to round-off the sharp edges, I was successful, but the fillet tool also rounded off the lower (inside) node. hence I failed, to create what my friend had challenged.
One option is to create a star, then painfully select only the outer nodes and use the fillet tool to round off the edges. Is there any other easy method of doing the same in CorelDraw.
( My friend apparently uses the rival program Adobe Illustrator and mocks me using CDR )

I used the rectangel tool and it always makes the photo inside out. I need it to round the edges not hide the photo. Is there a way to show the middle of the photo and then make a frame like they did on the website?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having lots of difficulty with this. I'm trying to create a rectangle that is transparent with rounded corners but I need the rounded rectangle outlined. Now I know how to create a rounded rectangle what I am doing for that is the following;
creating an image, selecting add alpha chanel, then selecting rounded rectangle, invert then cut.
The problem is I need the rounded rectangle outlined. When I try to use the paintbrush with stroke it outlines the image but when I go to save it it saves the whole image including the cut corners.
In essence. I just want to make a rounded transparent rectangle. Then have it outlined. This would be for a web page.
I have this icon and I'd like to use it on a website but with interchangeable colors.So, what I'd like to do is create a png file with solid colors simulating the background.And, where the actual icon colors are, use transparency. That way I can specify any color I want in the background and it will filter through!
