just upgraded from cs3 to cs 6 and went to print for the first time and got the attached message. i have special profiles made for my printer so i always print so that "printer manages colors." and that's what i've told PS to do with what i'm now printing. but the colors are off. what's colorsynch? do i need to do something different to get the same color results i got with ps3?
View 3 RepliesWhere is color sync located (not color utility)? I am downloading an icc profile from Ilford paper and the instructions say to first download into downloads, then move to Library. This I did. But I cannot find Color Sync to move the profile into. When I did the "search" the list that turned up was not applicable. After that it needs to go to Profiles inorder that Lightroom 4 paper profiles list can receive it and be able to print according to the profile. How will I find Profiles? I have successfully downloaded profiles before.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to hold down the Shift key and move all the sliders in the Color panel at the same time so that I could get a tint of the color I was working with. Now that doesn't seem to work. I've tried the Shift key, the Command key, the Option key and the Control key but nothing works. Is there still a way to move all the sliders at once so they maintain their relative positions? I'm working with the RGB Color panel window.

There appears to be an issue with colorsync between PS CS6 and AI CS6. This is what I have come across: Both applications are color synced to sRGB color space, converting from and to other colorspaces using Adobe Ace, absolutly colometric. An sRGB document is created in PS CS6, featuring a square of the color #000050. After that an empty RGB doc is created in AI CS6, also with an sRGB profile and this PS file is placed within. The color of aforementioned square, checking with the AI color picker is now #0f004f and not #000050. Creating within this very AI document a rectangle of the color #000050 and then exporting this file to PS, you'll end up with a PS file, featuring 2 squares of the same color #000050.

I cannot see the Switch enables auto sync on the Metadata sync button. Its currently visible on another machine a MacPro with Lightroom v4.3. I find this useful to be bale quickly enable and disable the syncing of metadata. Has this been dropped in v4.4 or have I missed a prefs setting somewhere?
I am trying to adjust two D800 files simultaniously. Thus I select both images, toggle the Sync button to the Auto Sync state.
But, the adjustments done to the most selected image do not copy over to the other image, while this is the expected behaviour.

When I go to pick a color in Photoshop CS6 I receive an error message saying that "Could not complete request because of program error"! Why did this happen now when I've been using photoshop for months? I've not added any plug ins recently... All worked fine with all plug ins installed for months.
How to save my preferences and not sure how to restore preferences.....

I have a Gateway 500SE PC, Home XP, Nikon View 6.0.0, Photoshop Elements 1.01. I have a Nikon D100 camera. When I import a Nef uncompressed file into Elements it gives me an error box...Unsupported Color Depth. I must change these pictures to a supported color depth. This takes too much time to change every picture in a folder when you want to make a contact sheet What is this and how do I fix it?

Also when I go to the sync preferences>sync settings, the only thing showing up in Adobe ID box is "Sign in as:" and the next line says "Last sync:-" Everything else is empty in that box. Not sure if its related but when I use share on behance, it just stays on loading. I did check to make sure my adobe ID was linked with my behance account. I assume the issues are related to my Adobe ID not showing
The only place I can see my adobe ID working is in the help menu where I see "sign out: (my ID)What can I do to get Sync and "Share on Behance" working?
Is it not possible to sync workspaces in PS CC? I see that its available in IS but not in PS.

Flick panning and animated zoom were turned on, when these were off previously. Starting a new sync did ask me to pull my settings over from creative cloud.
The CC Application Manager was inviting me to install apps that were happily residing and working on my system, which concerned me because I would not be informed about updates for those apps. I just got the answer from the CC forum. I had changed the language from English (North American) to English (International) in some instances, and that was enough for the AAM to think those apps were for a different user. When I try and sync my application settings, I always get an error message saying 'sync settings failed - can't connect to creative cloud'. However, I am signed in to the creative cloud application manager (sitting in my task bar, saying I am signed in) and there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. Why can't my photoshop sync my settings?

My question is this:
Once I signed up I reloaded CS6 from the CC product options. I then checked for updates and it reloaded some updates. So how do I know I have the CC version? The System Info states that I have Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.1.2 (13.1.2 20130105.r.224 2013/01/05:23:00:00) x64.
The reason I ask is that I saw an interesting blog item on syncing settings with the CC Cloud. When I checked my CS6 menu, I did not have the Sync option. I am thinking that this may not be the correct way to update my in-place installed version of CS6 to the more current version of CC CS6.
I installed Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC on my laptop. I customized all my settings like keyboard shortcuts, tool panels, brushes and so on. However, now I'm trying to sync with my desktop computer and everytime it asks me if I want to keep local or remote settings, I choose, as indicated by your tutorial video, "keep remote" settings. But it not only doesn't work, as also replaces my settings in the cloud with the ones from the computer I'm trying to sync (which are the default settings.)
I also tried to find this feature for Indesign CC, but I could find.
Just got finished installing the updates in creative cloud. Closed Photoshop and reopened changes didn't take place --windows 7. Looked in preferences did not find a sync option. I assume none of my cloud programs are being updated

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a full and functioning version of Photoshop 6 extended on my MacBook Pro with mountain lion 10.8.3. I installed a new hybrid hard drive a few days ago. I had backed up my computer to an external hard drive via Super Duper. I recopied to the new hard drive and everything seemed to be working properly. My problem is I have a new configurator panel from a third party that I am trying to install and the extension manager that comes with the downloaded file won't install it on a copy of Photoshop 6 that's on my operating hard drive. I can make changes to Photoshop 6 on the backup drive. Somehow it seems that signals a been crossed. There are some folders in the application support folder that I transferred from the backup drive to the laptop drive but that didn't work either. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop 6?

(I don't know if I want to change this or not - do I?) I'm instructed to sign into photoshop.com through Photoshop Elements, but when I try to do that I get Error 400. I just learned that photoshop.com no longer exists - true? If this is nothing to worry about, how do I remove that icon from the toolbar? It has a lock symbol on it.

It started when I deleted some Actions I'd added to my library. Also, Actions that I've added recently are not showing up even though I've added them correctly. I plan to upgarde to version 11 but it has to wait a few more weeks.
