View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a Creative Cloud member. I have Photoshop cs6. How I can upgrade to cs6 Extended so I can use the 3D feature?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop CS3 (registered and activated) on my old computer. I built a new computer and want to install CS4 extended on it. I purchased a Photoshop CS4 Extended update from Amazon for $342.99. During installation of CS4 on my new computer I entered the serial number. The next page that pops up is Upgrade Check that asks: 1) Select product that you already own: The only choice is Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended and 2) it asks for the serial number. I am upgrading from Photoshop CS3, not the extended version, so it will not accept my serial number. Photoshop is installed on a trial basis right now. I tried installing Photoshop CS3 on the new computer but that did not help and CS3 did not recognize the CS2 installation disk that I put in the CD drive to prove that I was allowed to install a CS3 uprade. The new computer I am trying to install on is an Intel i7 920 processor on a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P motherboard, with 12Gb RAMM, a Sapphire Toxic Radion HD 4870 graphics card, and running Windows XP pro 64 bit. I installed the operating system on the D drive. This computer is not setup to connect to the internet. I am also trying to install Adobe CS2 Creative Suite (everything except Photoshop), but the CS2 installation does not recognize the Adobe CS1 disk 1 when I put it in the CD drive as requested. This is all very frustrating considering how happy I have been with my Adobe software all the way back to Photoshp 5. I called the 800-833-6687 number and after playing phone tree for a while was informed that I was calling outside their hours (at noon on Sunday) even though the webpage I got the number from says they are available 7 days a week. It was bad enough that after spending $195 to upgrade to Photoshop CS3, 3 weeks later Adobe announced Photoshop CS4.

I have been kicking around on upgrading to CS4.
Can I upgrade from CS3 extended to plain ole CS4? After taking inventory of what I actually do in Photoshop vs What I think I may someday do in Photoshop, I realize I don't really need the extended and don't see the need spend the extra cash. So, can I up to CS4 from CS3 extended?
I own CS3 Extended. I just purchased and download CS4 (not extended). Before I made the purchase, I contacted customer service (via chat) and was assured I could upgrade to CS4 from CS3 extended. When I try to register the product as an upgrade, it does not recogonize my CS3 extended serial number.

But when I have to insert the serial number of a previous version,
only CS3 Extended is a choice. When I enter the serial no of CS3 standard version I get an error.
I tried to install CS4 Extended Upgrade, and when it asks what previous version I have, the only version that is listed is CS3 Extended. I have Photoshop CS. How do I go about upgrading? I hope I purchased the proper version, as there is no mention of prerequisite versions on the outside of the package OR on the inside.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI own Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended for Mac. I don't want to join Adobe Photoshop subscription CC, but want to upgrade to Photoshop CS6.
Â
I'd like the standard version of CS6 - not the Extended upgrade as it's much cheaper. Is it possible to buy / install an upgrade to CS6 from CS5 Extended ?
From everything I have been able to find out, I would need to pay the full $400 upgrade from my CS4 license even though I already own CS6. Surely there must be a way to go from CS6 to CS6 Extended for less than the cost to go from a previous version to CS6 Extended, but if there is, I cannot find a way how.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it simply an error in the web store or is there no advantage to upgrading from CS3 extended to CS4 extended over just CS3 (or CS2 or CS1) to CS4 Extended. Its all $349 to upgrade to CS4 extended no matter what Photoshop (CS) version you start from.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have Photoshop CS6 Standard already installed on my Mac (OS 10.8). My employer has just purchased the extended version for me and I would like to upgrade. I have a valid serial number to do this.
Â
I understand that the software is the same and depending on the serial number it can unlock the extended portion of CS6. Is there any way of upgrading the installed version to extended by re-intering the new serial number or should I just install a second copy of PS CS6 and have 2 PS CS6 (one standard and one extended)?
I was looking at a video editing tutorial for CS6 yesterday and I wanted to try it myself, but when I opened the timeline I noticed that my version of the timeline and the one in the video were completely different. At first I thought that it was just because I had to upgrade to CS6 Extended to get the full video editing experience, but when I searched around I saw nothing that would suggest that that would be the case.
Multiple people said that the regular CS6 version included the same video editing capabilities as the extended version, and the comparison chart on the Adobe website indicated the same thing. Do I really need to upgrade to the Extended version to get that feature?

This is what my timeline looks like:

View 3 Replies View RelatedCurrently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly.
Â
I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL.
Â
I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions.
Â
So, what are my options?
Â
Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6?
Â
I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.
I'm happy with the NX version, but if I want to upgrade to XT, how do I do it? I looked on the upgrade options for XT and upgrading from NX, is not there.

I only really use Photoshop, so I'm thinking maybe I should look at why I should or shouldn't upgrade. (Amazon has the upgrade @ $153.xx USD or something like that at the moment.)

I do original art, inputting drawings and manipulating them in Photoshop, as well as working with digi photos. Worth the upgrade? What's new that I should be aware of?Â
I have CS3 and ultimately want to upgrade. In the short term, I need to deactivate the computers that previously had CS3 on them. I don't even have the computers anymore. I will then just reload my existing copy of CS3, get it re-established and move on from there. What is the simple way to do this?Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use both Illustrator CS4 and Photoshop CS4 for my occasional, personal use. I am running OSX 10.5.8. (Yes, I know both are ancient). I have just purchased a new Mac running 10.9. I would like to put both my ai and ps CS4 on my new machine.
Note: I am willing to purchase new software and/or upgrades, however I am not willing to purchase cloud-based software at a monthly charge. Again, what are my options for installing ai and ps on my new machine?
I have just purchased the latest Photoshop Cs6 but I wasn't aware that there was another program. Photoshop elements that also included 3D. I have tried to upgrade to the 3D package but the trial download for elements is the same as the Photoshop CS6 version I already have so I can't get it to work.
How to upgrade to get the 3D to work.
