I ask someone to design a boxshot in PSD. In the boxshot, there are two text layers. Both text layers use the same font and size. But the actual text looks differently in size in my computer(after installing the required fonts). And the designer said in his computer, these two texts looks in same size.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe are overlaying a word or two on jpg's. In the settings bar along the top, the font is set to 8pt.That has worked seamlessly, for some time. Suddenly, though the pt setting is not changed, the actual text over the photo is larger - much too large to fit. But changing the pt setting to a lower number still results in something too large.
is the sudden change in outcome, when there has been no change in the setting. And no ability to get a correct font size.This is in Ps CS4, on Mac 10.6.8. I have checked the font in Font Book (Myriad Pro), and no corruption appears for the font.

View 5 Replies View RelatedCome across this really irritating bug in Ps CS6 x64 ... I can't set the size of a text layer - it jumps back to the above size. I have quit and reloaded PS CS6 but the same happens.
It was working OK earlier, but this has started happening - On Win 7x64 with latest PS CS6 update.
I go to Preferences>Interface>Text>UI Font size and change it to Large. After a PS restart, the UI font is large and readable. But after a few PS openings and closings it always reverts back to the default Small size. It never seems to remember my setting.

I'm using Photoshop Version 7
I have Adobe Photoshop 8 CS which I've used many times before without a problem. Recently I re-installed Windows XP (which I've also done many times before) and I noticed after re-installing Photoshop I cannot add text to images.
Whenever I try, I am able to select the area where I want to add text but the cursor doesn't appear and the font size is set at 0.01. I try to set the font size higher and it continuously drops back to zero. Oddly though, I am able to add text to images in Image Ready without a problem.
I've tried re-installing Photoshop again, cleaning the registry and temp files between installs and I get nowhere. I've never experienced this problem before and I'm usually the one giving help advice as opposed to getting it but here I seem to have no choice except to swallow my pride and ask. Would it be an issue with the font settings somewhere in Windows or has something perhaps messed up my registry?

When I try to enter type on a Photoshop CS3 doc, the text is humongous. If I set the font size down to 6pt it still is over 200 pixels high. Anything over 20pt is taller than my monitor.
I never installed the beta CS3, did have CS2 prior to upgrading.

If i write a Text in Photoshop CS 6 on a Mac the size of the Font is always wrong. For example: I write a Text in 6 Point which is bigger than a Text in 12 pt. I allready uninstall Photoshop, but i have still this problem. When i transform a textbloc it´s getting worse, seems like the text is getting bigger but the pt stays at the old size

This appears to be gone in CS6.If the text layer is selected you can but if you double click the type to go in and edit it, i can't input and manual font size value.... i can only choose from the default options.This is very hard to work around if you have specific sizes your fonts need to be & if there is more than one size i the same layer.how to get rid of the annoying placeboard/brandground that is in CS6. View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm in a Photoshop document, and I'm working with two different text areas. Both area registering as 14px in size in the Type menu, and yet, they're radically different in size. One is tiny, whilst the other is at least twice, maybe thrice the size. Why is this happening?
I've checked there's no overlapping text areas and things like that, everything should be fairly normal, it just isn't.
I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6 v13.1.2 x64 for Mac, running on a Macbook Pro Retina 1.83ghz and 8GB ram.
When I was transfering my psd to css and HTML, I used the same font and size, however, they are completely different in size. On PS I used 55, 27, and 22 pt font, when I had used the same size on css, it became a completely different font size.

Default font size for web is 16px. Why does Photoshop skip 16px in the font size dropdown?

Is there a way to edit the dropdown menu?
How do I make it bigger? When you render it to Photoshop you have to zoom in to see it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I have a text layer selected (and then chose the font-size selector), I cannot use the scroll wheel (or the arrow keys for that matter) to change the font-size the way I do for the rest of text properties (let's say the font-family). In this particular case I have to click the font-size box in order to be able to manipulate it, and even so, there is not live-preview when the value changes, I have to press enter for it to take effect.

It did work after I installed CS6 - I was able to change to the Medium setting, and change it back to Small. Now the actua text size stays at Small, even though it is set to medium. This afterafter I restart PSx64.
I have deleted CS6x64 prefs. Updated today - (says 13.0.1, though I believe the updater said it would update Photoshop to 13.0.1.1)
Windows Appearance and Personalization>Display is set to the default - Smaller. I wonder it may have to do with changing that size - I had tried setting that to Medium - 125%, but set it back to the default Smaller - 100%. Not sure when the PS UI text size stopped working.
I hope that my mentioning changing the Windows 7 Display from 100% to 125% and then back to 100% will give someone a clue.

I'm using C5 Extended and have been using PS for years and suddenly I'm seeing something I haven't encountered before. My font sizes are being reduced "to the closest integer" which goes to 624.14 pt. My image is only 1000px x 150px so I'm not sure where the measurement discrepancy is happening.
I noticed it first when I made a copy of a box of text and then tried to drag the text copy.
Can not change the font size or tracking in the Character Window. It always gets random numbers in the input field. System: MacbookPro Retina, OSX 10.8.4, Photoshop CC 14.0

Im worried once I slice my psd and once I add type in the html document the slicing will be off..
If I transform a type with the transform tool or "command t" the font size displayed when highlighted doesn't update to larger font size. If the layer is selected the correct font size is displayed. I updated a coworkers's photoshop and he experienced the same issue.
View 6 Replies View RelatedNot sure if I have some option checked here I shouldn't. I am working on an image where I want an 8 pt font. When I use text tool > horizontal type tool > I make sure I have verdena size 8pt font checked. I have made an image with this font size before and it turned out fine. However, now when I use this font it is huge, looks like size 20 or something. It is at 100% so it should look a lot smaller. I also put the old image next to it and the font is a lot smaller then the new one. Any idea on what's going on?

when no windows are open i can set it to whatever size i want, but when i click new file or open, it goes right back to 18px.
How do you keep very small sized fonts looking good when manipulating them, as in using arc, skew, transform? I can manage this fine on bigger sized fonts, but when I want to make a very small font size arc (for ex to use on an avatar) it ends up looking blurry and not crisp and clean. tried pixel fonts but that was totally unreadable.
