Photoshop :: Possible Licensing With 2 Instances Of CS5

I have a student edition of CS5 installed on 2 Macs for the last year . It is rare that I would use them both together but one evening this week, I did. Since then the eraser tool one on Mac has stopped working, and on the other, the crop has stopped working. Have I triggered some type of licensing issue, or is this a known bug? I had not updated CS5 for a couple of months, prior. I updated it to the latest CS5 downloads today, but with no change?
Had to replace the hard drive on my iMac. I use Time Capsule and when the new hard drive was installed had Time Capsule bring all my applications and files back. It seems to be working with all other files and apps. Â But when I tried to use Photoshop CS 4 I received error message suggesting I restart the MAC which I did. Then got the same error message when I tried to open Photoshop. It said if restarting doesn't work go to Adobe.
I have been using PS CS4 for more than 3 years. However, in the past few months, PS CS4 keeps popping up Error:150:30 indicating Licensing for this product has stopped working.  When this error came up, I used to closed and re-launch the program or restart the computer and the error will go away. But not this time. I have been trying to used CS4 for the past few days and failed.
I recently got this error message and did everything that that the adobe solutions page told me to do to no avail. I have two thousand pictures to process...does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get my photoshop cs3 on Vista back up and running?
I´ve been trying to install PS CS4 into a vista x64 OS. I previously had the Master Collection trial installed and thought it was giving me problems so I uninstalled it - Deactivated, uninstall, reboot. I then downloaded the CS4 trial. Everything seemed to go fine but when I open the app.... I get "Licensing for this product has expired" When I set the date back to Jan 1, 2009 it opens fine. What monster is loose in my OS?
My concern here is if I decide to purchase, where will I enter the serial number for activation? There doesn´t seem to be a place to enter it when the program does open up (Jan 1). I´ve exhausted myself on this. I even went back to a complete system backup prior to installation of the Master Collection to repeat the entire uninstall procedure. Does anyone have a solution?
I cannot open CS3. I get the message *Licensing for this product has stopped working*. I saw the thread about getting this message after deleting a beta version, but I have never had a beta version and have been using the current configuration for many months.

Forum: I need some expertise here. This error just started popping up on me today and I need to know what I can do to fix it without having to uninstall and reinstall the CS3 suite of Adobe Design. The error states: You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstallings and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help.
Now I have gone through three solutions. I have Windows Vista. Does someone know what is another solution? If the last resort is to uninstall and reinstall the software, did it begin to work for you then, if anyone else has ever had this problem? I would appreciate any responses anyone has.
I have been bothered with Windows event of "event 7000, adfsservice notstarted" during boot-up.After long investigation I found killing "FLEXNET Licensing Servive" resolvesthis problem.Note that this service was not and is not running ever on my machine anyway. On the other hand, I occasionaly experience Error 148:3 when starting CS4.(I am a licensed user :-) )Thie error happens before and after the modification of FLEXNET disablement. I, today, was informed that the FLEXNET is for CS4 licensing check. Now,  Is the error 148:3 related to my machines no FLEXNET serivice?
Ive got design premium cs 3 today I update the adobe media player and none of my cs 3 software will open. I get a message saying "Licensing for this product has stopped working"
I recently upgraded from a machine using OS 10.6 (I believe) to a new iMac with 10.8. I was running Photoshop CS4 on the old machine and it transferred over to the new machine via setup assistant with everything else on my hard drive. Â I did deactivate CS4 on the old machine, but now when I try and start up CS4 I get the 150:30 licensing error. Â I've tried everything in this document except reinstalling (I really don't want to lose all my actions, etc.) and the License Repair tool because my system wont let me run it. URL....I called Adobe Support and they sent me here. Â I know CS4 is on the old side, but it suits my needs for now and how can I upgrade if I cannot even open the application on my machine?
I receive the error message when using Extension Manager "this extension cannot be installed because licensing verification failed". I have checked the My Products and Services section of the Adobe web site and it shows my correct serial number for PSCS6. How can I overcome this problem so that Adobe knows I have a valid license and let me install the extension?
Upon launch of my Photoshop CS3 (legit copy, purchased when CS3 was new) yesterday, I received the message [URL] I tried everything there to no effect. I tried to reinstall to no avail.
when i open adobe photoshop CS3 and flash CS3 a box appears saying " licensing for this product has expired..i have tried all the solutions and are at to "reinstalling" i don't have the disc or the code.all i am worried about is getting a copy of my swatches/palettes and brushes. Is there any way of saving the swatches and/or brushes? or if i were to install the CS5 version of photoshop would it automatically convert my settings, (swatches and brushes) to the newer version?
I thought I would update my cs3 to 10.1 patch. After I did that I got the above error.

Then I thought I would find out what happened online and now all I get is a screen asking for my key code. I bought this laptop a year ago with cs3 loaded on it. How do I get this thing working again?
I'm working on some practice animations, but the issue I've been having is that I don't know how I can work on my inbetweening on a video layer with onion-skinning enabled. I know I could just switch to frame-by-frame animation, but I wanted to have onion-skinning enabled still so that I can make my inbetween animations more acurate.
how you can select all the instances of a certain colour in a picture.. e.g. If I click a certain shade of grey in my posturized image.. i want PS to show me all the places with the same colour..
CS6 x64 (Windows 7 SP1) keeps loosing OpenCL, requiring I trash my preferences to gte it back. This evening it happened again. I was using Bridge 6, ACR 7.1 Beta and CS6 x64 version and it happened again. Trashed the preferences and even with mutilple reboots would not recognize OpenCL. So being the curious type I did a search for the Pref's file; and found two (2) instances of CS6 x64 preferences, One in the normal place....../Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop 6/Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings, then another instance in /Roaming/Adobe/ Adobe Photoshop CS5/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings. Trashed this one as well and OPen CL worked again. Â Is this normal behavior to have duplicate Pref's for CS6 x64? Probably not, so what is going on? And can confirm that every now and then a duplicate will show up in the CS5 directory, not consistent, and have not yet found the trigger, but one is definitely there. Â Apart from OpenCL not working when this happens, everything seems to work normally...
Alright. You may ask why do you need multiple ?  Assume that i have 10000 PSD files in 10 different folders . I have a script that just save as them as PNG. And these files are each 3000x3000 px. My computer has 8 cores and 1 Photoshop exe is only using 1 cpu core. Also i have SSD raid system it has 750 mb read write per second  So right now i am wasting my time with running only 1 Photoshop exe instead of at least 4.
I am running CS6 Cloud Suite under Mountain Lion on a Mac Pro. I have no other versions of Photoshop installed, and I've never HAD any other versions installed on this machine. Â The problem is this - when I right-click, say, a JPEG file and choose to open with Photoshop CS6, it will launch Photoshop as expected. But if Photoshop is already launched and I right-click to open, say, a TGA file, it will spawn a completely new instance of Photoshop to open it in. From that point on, with the two instances of photoshop running at the same time, right-clicking and opening any other files will open them in one of the two PS instances. Â It's almost like some file types have been associated with one "instance" of PS, and other formats are associated with the other. This seems impossible since there's only ONE install of Photoshop on my computer.
Up until now, I've been using Paint.NET as my main paint program. It worked well enough but had a few specific limitations that forced me to request the company I work for to purchase Photoshop CS2, which they did. In fact, the IT dept just finished installing it.
I'd like to have a single text layer with multiple instances of text, but everytime I go to add additional text, CS2 "conveniently" creates a new layer for me. Is there any way to tell CS2 to "Stop that!" and let me create as many individual instances of text on one layer as I want? I am labeling buildings/roadways on aerial photos and don't need to have 40-50 text layers per photo.
I need to connect to specific instances of AutoCAD and Plant3D. The Running Object Table (ROT) only holds one instance so GetObject wont work.

I have a group made by several objects, and cloned as group instances many times. If i want to add/delete/move an object inside the group, the modifications are not cascaded to other instances. It is possible that this feature does not exist in 3d studio max?
Just want to report that the latest release of Maya 2014 Service Pack 4 still crashes instantly when you try to render any polygon instances. Even cubes and spheres. Worked in 2013.Â
BackBurner stopped working for me when 3DS Max 2012 came out so my work around was simply opening multiple instances meaning I'd have one "Max" rendering a scene while I worked in another "Max" while at night, having 2-3 simultaneous instances of 2012 rendering out animations. This really came in handy for doing multiple projects at the same time between render scene passes.
I can run 3 stable 3DS Max 2012 on the same machine without a problem, I can even run 1 x 3DS Max 2013 and 3 instances of 2012 at the same time BUT I'm unable to run more than one instance of 2013... it boots-up 2013 but then just hangs and doesn't do anything. I tried using BackBurner but it doesn't work so basically, it seems like I'm stuck running only one instance of 2013 at a time.
Is there a setting somewhere I can enable multiple instances again? I did take a look at Deadline but they don't support 2013 yet.
I'm sure I've seen it here before and have probaly forgotten how to do something that is simple although how do I change an inserted block (A) into block B? i.e. if I select 1000 instances of Block_A I want them to all be converted into Block_B (without editing Block_A) where Block_b is already defined in the CAD file.
using ACadLT 2008. i'm creating a frame sheet for my firm. i created attributes inside a block. when double clicking, the attribute dialog will lunch and i can type the info, but...
i need instances of the same attribute among the sheet so for example the "date of submission" and the date i keep in the "history" are always the same, i don't want to enter twice the same date.
