View 1 RepliesI can open an image just fine in Photoshop CS3 by going file-open and clicking on the file, I then want to bring in another image into Photoshop CS3 by using file-open which I can do but then the first image disappears and only the second image is in Photoshop.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPS CC crashing when trying to open multiple images? If you open one file at a time, there are no issues, but 2 or more and it crashes as shown below. I've tried it with JPG's, TIFF's and PSD's and still get the same problem.I've also tried starting it while pressing alt/ctrl/shift, but still get the same problem.
PS CC is version 14.0, 32 bit, running on Windows 7 which is up to date. I do only have 4GB RAM, of which PS takes 60% of it according to the system info panel.I never had this problem before in CS6 or previous.
I have an old mac computer that I use for display for clients that has cs3 but when I opened photoshop the images are not displayed in tabs. I have been to Windows>arrange but the only options I have are
cascade
tile horizontal
tile vertical
the preferences panel does not have interface>open documents in tabs
and I cant remember where else to look. Hope some-one can remember this far back.
I have just switched from PS CS5 to CC. Under CS5, the default for opening multiple images put them in separate windows. Under CC, the default appears to be to put them in separate tabs and one must select separate windows from the Window Arrange sub menu. How can I restore the CS5 default. I prefer to always open multiple images in separate windows.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHi, I am starting a new business making art prints for artists. I have purchased this huge printer ... just got it. I've been studying photoshop for months using "classroom in a book" and am finding out that I've probably studied the wrong thing.
I have three questions and thanks in advance for any of your expertise.
1. I successfully printed out a two foot by two foot photo I took of my husband with my 8.2 megapixel camera. Then, tried to print out another photo.... used the same photoshop settings, but the print was 6 inches by 6 inches...... I did notice that the second print was only 16. %... I wondered if that caused the difference in size? How do I set that to 100 % if that is what is needed?
2. I want to print out multiple small prints using this big paper and printer... I want to tile these various prints (all different) along the top making rows... I want them to be all different. I called Epson support and they said I could do that in photoshop. Do I use the browser?
3. I have a wide format scanner. It does up to 11 x 17 inches. If I have something larger to scan, let's say, I scan the bottom of the image and then scan the top of the image, how do I put them together?
when I open 2 photos , only one appears and if I then open a 2nd, I can't get back to original.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've seen one thing in all the Photoshop versions and it really annoys me: if I open more than one file (e.g. 10 files), then in the Window list of the files the first one is always the last file in the selecting order. E.g., if I open files i001.jpg....i010.jpg, then PS lists them in order i010.jpg, i001.jpg, i002.jpg ... i009.jpg.
This makes it really unconfortable to edit multiple files in row and I have to do this all the time. Problem is that I need to process files from camera and then save them in order. One mistake could mean a lot of time later reordering items. Any fix or workaround? Currently I open n+1 files and then close the last one in order to get the listing in correct order.
In CS3 I can go to a file and chose 10 or more photos at one time. If I open 3 in CS4... I can adjust the first one but as soon as I close it and open the next photo.. the background for the next photo comes in black.same for the rest I have chosen.

When I open a photo.... work on it.... open a second photo....It opens and appears as a blank pallet, (as if there's no picture) but.... when I grab and move the image window with my cursor at the top border, the image appears... then when I release it placing it where I want to move it... the image disappears again. The image is visable the WHOLE time within the navigator panel.
I then have to restart CS5 in order to fix it... but then it'll happen 10 minutes later.
I'm using PS CS 3 Extended and whenever I try to open multiple files/images (either by dragging/dropping, using the bridge or just using the Open dialog) it really takes a long time, because photoshop seems to want to "check" every image behind the one it just imported. Let's say I'm importing 40 pictures for editing into Photoshop and I'm upto image 30; then it checks every image behind that (29, 28, 27, 26 etc.), slowing the process down conciderably.
In previous versions of Photoshop, I used to be able to import multiple files and they would load up relatively quick, and it wouldn't do this "checking" of files behind the last file imported.
Is there any way to turn this "checking" off so the import process will be faster?
I am working on a picture file, jpegs, changing the size, the level, etc. I open several pictures usually 3 or 4 and when I try to open the next I receive a pop up error message that says: "Could notcomplete your request because of a program error.” This has just started to happen recently, probably since I upgraded to CS6. Previously I could work on a file and have 100 or so pictures
open and still be able to open additional pictures. I have downloaded and in installed all availableupdates and the message I receive when I check for updates is:
“Your applications are up-to-date as checked less than a minute ago.” I tried to Edit>Purge>All, Reset Preferences, Deleted the Adobe Photoshop Ver. 6 Prefs.psp folder and pressed Ctrl+Alt+Shift on Photoshop startup and deleted Adobe Photoshop Settings file. Did not work, what next?
I've been having problems selecting images in the library module when multiple images are in view (not down in the timeline, but in the main window). It seems sporadic with which ones it won't let me select, it somehow manages to be the ones that I need to click....!! I just literally can't click it as if it were an image I already imported or something, but it's not grayed out like that. I've been having to select a nearby image then use my arrow keys to navigate to and click the image I need.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to open two or more images in Photoshop cs6. Side by side or one above another. These are compressed zip files and not pictures uploaded from a digital Samara. If that makes a difference. Is there a way to do this in Photoshop or is this strickly bridge.

My PS CS5 - Mac OS - gives me an error message that PS couldn't open thrRaw images because the camera is not supported by my version of Camera Raw.
I have a brand new Lumix DMC-FZ150 and shot some images in the RAW and JPG mode. My photos are imported to Pictures/Adobe Camera Raw/FL 2012.
I did NOT install Panasonic's CD "SilkyPix" because I thought CS5 supported this Raw format from the FZ150.
When I try and open a photo, it only opens in the navigator window on the layers palette. I am trying to open it in the main window and can't seem to figure this out. It happened once before and was fixed after a reinstall. This time it happened in the middle of editing and saving some photos. I haven't changed any settings and am really perplexed by this.
When I close the navigator window, the photo still only opens on the layers palette and not in the main window.
I have got myself in a pickle. Whenever I open an image in CS2 in comes in looking very narrow. I have checked the "Pixel Aspect Ratio" and that is set to SQUARE, which is the default. This Narrow configuration is also present in the cloning and other tools.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn Lightroom 4.1 when rating (flags, stars or colors) a selected group of images all images selected will have the same flag applied. For instance if I select 10 images to view in the survey mode to compare and select 1 to be flagged as rejected all 10 will be flagged rejected, not just the one. Is there a way to turn this off to select a group of images and flag each differently?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe are teaching 3 young 8 year olds Dreamweaver CS6 and Photoshop CS6 (recent installations). We are going fine with Dreamweaver but then we needed to learn how to manipulate images. In particular make new logos for the site and create images for uplaoding from the camera.
We are new to photoshop CS6 but wouldn't expect the issues we are getting right now.
We can't open jpegs completely. We get a transparent background or just a part image. Must be something we are doing wrong I guess. It looks fine in Bridge but really isn't loading well in Photoshop.
Here is where you can see about the laptop we are using : [URL]....
Here is a screendump of the issue: [URL]....
By the way this is a site [URL]....which we are using dreamweaver for. We have made a members login page which appears to be working but as you can see unfortunately we badly need to create a logo and make some images for their site which isn't created yet. If I can keep them from games and from Minecraft then we will make progress
It needs to be ready soon so that I can get a domain for them and host it on my Dad's servers.
How do I open NEF images from my Nikon D3X in CS6?
View 1 Replies View RelatedPhotoshop keeps opening up recent images even though I've closed them out. Why?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOpening the images (.psd and .NEF) in camera raw presents no problems. The problem occurs when I then select OPEN to open them in Photoshop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently, Bridge has stopped opening pictures in Photoshop CS6. Each time I try the screen signals that Photoshop has to close down. However, I can open the pictures in ACR 7.4, but again, those images will not open in Photoshop. If I use the Mini Bridge in Photoshop, everything works fine, It seems there is a problem in the link from Bridge CS6 to Photoshop CS6.

Also, what is the best way to convert pictures to TIFF (CMYK) to get them ready for commercial printing?
I took a group of photos for some jewelry. I then transfered them to my computer. Then I selected all and opened with photoshop. Sometimes photoshop will open them in order and other times photoshop opens that in a shuffled order.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to open RAW images in CS2. When I try to do it, an error box pops up saying that it's an unknown file type(.nef). I've even tried using the software that my camera came with, but that won't let me either.
Also, the image RAW dialog box doesn't even come up when I try to open a raw image...
I want to create 3 versions of the same RAW file in order to vary the exposure and then use Photomerge Exposure to blend the images. I can open the first version and then go to Open Recent and open the same RAW file again. I then reset the default and make a different adjustment and open that image in Elements. a number "2" is automatically added to the filename. When I do another Open Recent and process that version, that image opens in Elements with a number "3" added to the filename.
