Photoshop :: Making A Business Letterhead
Dec 13, 2006
I’ve only used paintshop in the past to manipulate photo’s lol, but now I have a serious use for it.
The only problem I have is getting the borders to print right to the edge of the paper when printing. I mean its way off, is it that I am setting my paper size wrong? When I select ‘new’ I make the document 210x297mm is this right?

I am having difficulty creating the attached 3D business models in vector and struggling with the perspective and angles, both are proving challenging. I initially started by creating a cross hatch grid and rotating it 45 degrees but its not looking right.

I am trying to make business cards in Adobe Illustrator using the Pantone Color System. In my logo, the middle circle is a dark grey: C20 Y20 M20 K80. I can't find a suitable Pantone grey that is this dark. Pantone 425U is too light. Also, which Pantone Black is the darkest?

I need a simple letterhead without graphics. I was thinking to use Photoshop for it fonts, etc.
But I cannot figure out how to get started. I want to start with a letter size document but when I select letter 8.5 x 11 it gives me a huge document. How do I get it to give me an 8.5 x 11 document to design a letterhead?

I designed a letter head and the top banner is all black, along with the bottom.
I am trying to print it so there are no white borders around the edges but instead the top and bottom banner go right to the edge. I tried to option borderless printing but when i do that the color all comes out greyish instead of the usual black. I can print using the full page without loosing color or sharpness?

What is the best/cleanest way to create letterhead artwork to be used on a Word template?
Â
Right now I'm just creating, copying and pasting, but it seems there must be a more professional way. InDesign, or is Illustrator OK?

I have designed a letterhead in Ai (CS5). I want to make it a templete for Word 2010.

Currently, I am writing all letters in Ai and making them a PDF. It would be easier in Word.

I'm getting files from a business that uses Photoshop CS6. I use CS3 and when I edit the text, the text moves to a different location even off screen.
Â
It makes it hard to copy the text and impossible to change the color or make corrections. This just started when they went to Photoshop CS6.

I am probably not posting in a right forum. Not sure where it should go.
What should a business card definitely include? What kind of info? Name of company?
Do I need to put my name also? Or just the name of the company is enough?
Do I need to put my address? Or is my phone number and email address enough?
What about website address is it necessary?

I just purchased the Adobe Design Suite 5.5 Creative Premium.

I have an old two sided business card stored to JPEG. Its two sided, so I have a jpeg of the front of the card and a separate jpeg of the back of the card. The card is full of graphics so I was hoping to not have to edit the card at all - and just print it in photoshop or illustrator.

I'm doing a business card for my friend in photoshop (can't use japanese in illustrator), and he uses this specific company color. I switched the image to greyscale and used tritones for the pantone spot colors. However, it seems these pantone colors don't cover every color in the spectrum. Can I just choose the color I want using the hex code? also, I added bleeds to my card. When I am done, what file should I send to the printer? .tif? or the photoshop file? and also, how will they know where the bleeds start and where it ends? should I draw lines on the picture to show them? Last thing, why is it when you save a file in cmyk, the color gets so distorted?

I'm working on a business card but every time I try to upload it to vista print the design is blurry. I can't figure out why. It looks fine on my computer. I'm also using their custom design template so the dimensions and stuff are fine. I would try the psd but the psd file is too big. Anyway to shrink it? I've tried JPEG, png, and eps so far.

I am a beginner with Photoshop Elements 11 but not with working with photo editing. At the moment I am at the beginning of an Adobe tutorial on Elements Organizer. There are four views: Media, People, Places and Events. I purchased Photoshop Elements 11 for the primary purpose of displaying my wood art products that I make. As I get further into the tutorial it is likely my question and concern will be addressed. But for now, I don't see where my wood art photos fit in the four views? Also I will want to organize my photos by category of products, such as men's wooden ties, wooden vases, space shuttle, and many more.
