View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make some very simple banners for a website, mainly to a 468 x 60 size. I have my basic banner sorted, with a logo on one side and some text on the other, which I am intending to animate next, but I seem to be stuck on what must be the very basic task of adding a frame or border around the whole banner to a width and in a colour of my choice. I have tried using the rectangle and curved rectangle tool, but can only seem to adjust the fill, not the line.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?
I'm looking to create a simple banner with just a background color and text on top. What's the best format to save in if I want to use it in email attachments? I've tried both .gif and .jpg but the text looks blurry when I view it in the email (however it looks crisp on screen in photoshop)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm making a banner for a phpbb forum. So these forums scale for different resolutions, and I need help with how to make a banner that fits all sizes. I've been told to make 3 images of the same height (left, middle, and right) and to put the middle part as a background table.
View 2 Replies View RelatedCan you print banners using Photoshop (7). I know a lot depends on the printer, but I've used my printer (HP PSC2110) to print banners using other programs. That's what I've had to do actually, is design the banner in PS and then use another program to print it (usually Print Shop). There are settings to do this, but anytime I try it, it only prints one page of the banner. I have the settings right, everything is on banner, landscape and non-correlated.

I use imageready,I just can make banner very simple,
I wanna learn how to make proffesional banners.
how can i achieve these lines that are kinda screen effects over the photo? I want to make my own icons with this style.
this is horizontal direction lines, i also want to learn if i can manipulate the directions of the lines
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS2, editing the banners via ImageReady
My question is:
How do I add frames to the banner that I am making? I know how to duplicate the same frame while in ImageReady, but I want a slogan 1 in frame 1, slogan 2 in frame 2, a logo in frame 3, and so on.
I've been tasked with the creation of some flash-type banners for an intranet site. The idea is to have an image with text that expands across the top of the website and fades out into another image with additional text.
I'm just wondering if it's possible to create this kind of thing in Photoshop? My first thought is that I would need flash but unfortunately, I'm not sure that I'm going to get the go ahead for that product. I have however been able to order Photoshop and have CS6 on the way to me...so just wondered if I can plan whether I need to try harder to get the resource to buy Flash professional?
I am preparing some 4-colour artwork (Text & Graphics) for printing onto canvas banners, finished size 8ft x 3ft. Never done this this big before. Surely I do not need to size the artwork in PhotoShop at that size, as the file sizes are massive?
The printer requires hi-res PDF's.
How do you design custom shapes like tabs and banners and such. I do not want just a plain rectangle or square ....

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been working on some small banners and heading bars for my site. One thing I always seem to have a problem with and have not seen much information on is what fonts to use, or how to keep a font clean and crisp once it has been converted from psd to a web usable file such as a .jpg or a .gif. Most of the text I am working with is around a 10pt font. I have tried using different types of fonts and they all look fine as the psd but seem to lose something in the transition.
I have optimized them to 100% and they still seem to lose something. Does anyone know of any techniques or tutorials on this subject. I have seen many banners out there with this size font or smaller, and they all look very sharp.
I have a very uncommon problem that , when i update my banner of website which has photo of handmade leather messenger bag and leather backpack and wit size of 1343px x 460 px and i make exact same size image in Photoshop using 72 dpi and after uploading and updating my website banner get cropped automatically.
I tried everything in code of my website but every time i change it crops the image. what resolution i must take to make my image say similar as source. My website is

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create 48"x60" banners with text and high res images. Basically I am exporting a large 48"x60" .odt (open office) file as a PDF at 300dpi so I can then import it in to GIMP. When I try to import the pdf at 14400 (width), 18000 (height), & 30o resolution I get the following:
------
GIMP Message
Plug-in crashed: "file-pdf.exe"
(C:Program Files (x86)GIMP-2.0libgimp2.0plug-insfile-pdf.exe)
The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.
Gimp Message Opening 'C:UsersDUSTINDesktopWORKLR2 NO IMAGES.pdf' failed:
Procedure 'file-pdf-load' returned no return values
------------
The printing company is requesting my file be at 300dpi so that is why I am trying to import at 300 resolution. I am guessing this is a bug. My question is can I somehow just open the .odt file in gimp and add my high resolution images to it there? Is there a plug in for .odt in GIMP?

But the location it suggests (C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)Plug-InsFile Formats) does not exist. I've managed to find an alternate location, I assumed it must have changed in CS6.
C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)RequiredPlug-Ins contains a File Formats folder. I copied the .8bi file for .cur files and it still did not allow me to save anything as a .cur. I am using Windows 8, 64 Bit.I also copied the file to the Adobe Bridge CS6 Plug-Ins folder.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I make my CS6 function like CS3? I just upgraded. Every image I have opened is a new window on my taskbar. I open up 50+ images at a time quite often and I just have like 50 little windows on my taskbar. I also hate the tabbed view cause I drag and drop images around on each other all the time.

Ok after seeing the camera Ronmatt made and seen that others have also made cameras I'm going to try it. I've attached the camera I want to make! I've "read" tutorials, but have always been to chicken to actually attempt it....I've kept in the safety of Photo manipulation.
Ok I've got a question for people that have actually tried this photo realism stuff. When tutorials talk about adding a "gradient overlay"
they are talking about "layer style" / Gradient overlay right? as oposed to adjustment layer gradients or the Gradient tool right?
Damn the torpedoes full speed ahead! This is how I learn or give up....so here it goes see you all in a while...I will show you guys what ever comes out!
Is it possible to use Photoshop to make cursor files (.cur)? I've looked for tutorials (and not found much) that involve special grpahics tools,
