Jun 22, 2006I'm looking for a tut. on that magic haze that I see on so many pictures today.
I know it can be done in photoshop but I don't know the right combination.

Jun 29, 2009When I returned from vacation recently I noticed that in almost all of my Mediterrean photos there is a haze. Objects up close are fine, but as the distances increase so does the have.See example below. I've tried Curves, Levels, Auto Tone, Auto Contrast, and Auto Color with little luck.

Apr 8, 2008I thought USM to basically sharpen for the effect of removing atmospheric haze. I liked the technique so I built an action and used it. A while back I lost a hard drive and of course, my actions with it. So now I can't find where I got the info to start.
My memory says that it is USM at 20,50,0 but I'd like to find something like the article I based my action on.
Klattu said in a thread here on haze removal, 250,250,0. Why those numbers. I need to read what got me to this in the first place.
Photoshop :: Using Eraser In CC (14.1.2) White Haze Appears
Oct 18, 2013Besides the background layer with a 'B/W image' I created a layer to add some colour. When I use the eraser in that layer, a white haze appears. I've never experienced such a thing in over 15 years of Photoshop use.
Normal, coverage 100%. In the image below clearly to be seen the eraser stroke from left to right. The white haze best to be seen at the darker part.

Oct 5, 2013I have CDGSX4. I've been trying to edit some of my Canon Raw (CR2) files. However I get this purplish haze covering my images I think it has to do with the Raw File driver. I've noticed this with PSPX4 and also the trial version of CDGSX6.

Feb 1, 2005it might be possible to make magic eye puzzles in Photoshop, using a pattern and the Displace filter. I've been trying around, but it doesn't seem to work perfectly, but there are some results. I think maybe it's a bit different to just shifting the pixels round a bit.

Dec 19, 2007I'm want to use photoshop CS3's magic wand tool to make a selection of a colored shape on my background layer.
However when I click the mouse, the wand selects EVERYTHING on the layer. it doesn't matter what my tolerance level is set to. I've tried cranking it down to 0 and I still get everything selected.

Nov 1, 2012I am having trouble with using Red Giants' Magic Bullet photo looks 2 plugin with PS CS6 (32&64).
The standalone program works fine on its own but fails to launch properly from PS's filter menu. It tries to launch the app but then reports an error, an error occurred (12288), Corrupted memory profile, then an error Can't open dest profile. These errors can't be cleared except by going into task manager to kill the app. Photoshop reports the error as Looks Builder failed to launch. Please ensure the application has not been renamed or moved from the install location and then Could not complete the Photo looks command because of a problem with the filter module interface.
I have been in contact with Red Giant but they are now struggling. I can't believe I am the only person that is getting this error but can't find anything specific on Google.
Error 12288 appears to relate to ICC problems.
The only non-standard thing about my installation is that all user data is on drive D & Page file on drive Z.

Mar 23, 2013I have CS4 and am unable to use the wand tool as it used to work.I've checked the color picker settings, and it is always set to point sample, and STILL does this. I've checked and unchecked the anti-alias, contiguous, and sample all layers boxes and set them to every possible combination of the three. I've set the tolerance level to multiple numbers and it does not affect the fact that it selects like this. In fact, setting the tolerance and checking either anti-alias or contiguous does NOT affect how it selects, and it will always select like this. I've found that it is selecting EVERY color/line created, regardless of opacity of the line. I've reset the tool multiple times, reset the color picker multiple times, and reset all tools several times. No affect.
I've tried asking on Tumblr AND on deviantART and have asked Google multiple times since the issue rose, and have seen several fixes for similar problems (none of them exactly like this, as far as I could tell). I've also even gone into the AppData file and deleted the .psp file.
I've changed settings around in Photoshop, and it doesn't seem to affect anything. I really need to use the Magic Wand tool for my artwork, to select shapes in individual layers, so that I may shade them. Another problem with the selection is that whatever I select is aliased, despite the "anti-alias" box being checked.
I realize that I can use the "select pixels" option that shows up when I right click a layer, and it produces the same effect the wand tool ONCE had, but I'm used to using the wand. I'll be using the select pixels option for now.

Mar 8, 2007I want to select an area with the magic wand, the magic wand icon disappears and there's a rectangle icon by the curser. At that point, the entire image is selected, not just the area I'd like. I've adjusted the tolerance to 70.
I'm using photoshop CS2 with a mac.

I usually import them as a smart object so that they may be updated regularly as design changes are made. However, in CS4, I am finding it very difficult for the magic wand to make selections in between lines of a pdf. No matter what I set the tolerance at, it seems to select more than the area that I am trying to select. I recently installed all updates and it worked for one day and then returned to making incorrect selections.

May 22, 2012i just installed CS6 on a mid2009 17" MacbookPro and am experiencing an annoying issue with scrolling to zoom. I use a magic mouse, and do not have this problem in CS4. Whenever I scroll the mouse "wheel" to zoom in, it zooms in at like 20% or so levels everytime, instead of smoothly as it did in CS4.
I checked preferences, and I have animated zoom enabled. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB video card. Also, here are other details:
