Photoshop :: Premiere Elements 10 - Download / Install - On New IMac With No Disc Drive?
Jun 8, 2013My iMac hard drive recently failed and I lost everything. I just bought one of the new iMacs with no disc drive. I had purchased Photoshop CS5 in 2011 but it came with CD's for install. I stil have them but it doesn't do me any good since there is no disc drive to put them in on the new computer.
How can I install Photoshop using my serial number from my original purchase? I downloaded the CS6 trial version and when I try to activate it with my old serial number it says it is invalid. Â

Sep 30, 2013I have a new mac book pro without a disc drive. I need to install CS4. Adobe support suggested I simply transfer the installed programs via a USB to the new computer but this does not work. when I try to use the programs it says "fatal error - missing component". I have the original install discs, but no way to put them into my new computer.

That website doesn't work. I have the CS6 web & design premium, I had installed it into my last mac book that had a disc drive but it's no longer working. I got a new mac book and have found no answers as how to install my programs. I keep getting loop holes.

EDIT: I just found out this might be the so called scratch-disc. But anyway, how can a file take up this much space? Photoshop has a allocated RAM space of 16GB on my system.

Illustrator :: How To Change Scratch Disc From Default System To External Drive
Jan 23, 2014using mac os I need to change my scratch disc from the default "system" to an external drive.
In preferences> scratch discs it sees the hard drive i have attached...so i choose it, I click ok and get the usual warning about having to restart illustator to implement the change. problem is, when i quit, then restart illustrator, no dice. it's defaulted back to " system". I change it again. click ok. then, just to see, i re- open the preference panel. it's already gone back to " system". what gives? i've tried over and over and it just wont take.

Feb 23, 2008I am having problems with palettes disappearing and going blank and image windows going completely white. So, I have decided to do a fresh installation of CS3.
I have uninstalled both CS2 and CS3 and I want to re-install just CS3.
However, when I insert the CD in the drive nothing happens on the screen. If I browse to the drive, it asks me to insert a CD! ;-(
The drive detects the CS2 no problem as well as any other CD I insert, but not the CS3 CD.

Feb 1, 2013I recently purchased the Adobe Creative Suite (CS6.0). About a year and a half ago I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 and I have been using it heavily and customizing it. I have installed the Creative Suite and Photoshop CS6 shows up as a completely different application than Photoshop CS5.1.
How do I transfer all my custom brushes, swatches and other settings to Adobe CS6? Is there a way to just update the 5.1 into 6.0 while retaining all my settings?
