Oct 22, 2013I'm upgrading from PSE 10 to CS6. How do I transfer photos from Organizer to CS6 Bridge? Or do I continue to use Organizer and will Bridge recognize it?

Nov 2, 2013How do I transfer the entire organizer of Elements 9 to the empty organizer in Elements 12? By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !

Aug 7, 2013I am having trouble with my metadata description / caption box when exporting to Photoshop CS6 and saving for web and devices. Once I save for web and view the image in Bridge all the necessary fields are transferred from Lightroom except description / caption field.
Below are the steps I have followed thus far.
> Tick Automatically write changes to XMP in cataloge settings
> Tick the box in the basic info field and caption sub field in Edit Metadata Presets
> (Command, E) Edit a copy with Lightroom Adjustments
> Resize then (Save for Web and Devices) in Photoshop CS6

Nov 3, 2013I have highlighted the Caption box and entered the information in the field shown below then Synced Metadata and saved. When I export the file to Photoshop CS6 and save for web and devices as a jpeg the description field shown below comes up empty. All other ticked fields translate from LR to bridge just not the caption/description field.

The sheer number of photos (>12K) make it nearly impossible to reorganize and retag everything from scratch!! If a newer PE version would avoid these problems, I would consider upgrading. I can't believe the Adobe hasn't been asked this question before, but I have been unable to locate any relevant information on their website.

Aug 23, 2005The first time I ever tried out Adobe stock photos through Bridge, The intro page says something along the lines of "enter keywords above to start searching". But there WAS no search bar 'above' nor anywhere else on the screen. I thoght I was losing my mind.
Next time I opened it up, there was the search bar, right up top! Found a great stock photo without any trouble.
As I'm using it more (or trying to) I find that at least half of the time the search bar does not appear. Sometimes opening a new window or restarting bridge fixes it, sometimes not.

Jun 30, 2012I have accumulated about 3000 family photos by scanning old printed and accumulating new digital photos. The problem is that they are spread into 2 desktops and 2 laptops, and I also have pictures still into 3 digitals cameras.Now before I organize those photos with Photoshop Element Organizer, I am in search of the best way to merge all those pictures into my new laptop which has C and D drive. I was planning to put my programs on C: and my data on D: to latter ease my backup task.I want to build the right structure right now and not to regret anything done wrong latter.
1) Should I proceed with a transfer using a USB key drive for my scanned photos and for those received by email? They are already in the form of yyyy-mm-dd
2) Should I use the software from my first CANON 3 MEG camera, and the software of my 2nd CANON 5 MEG, and then the 3rd software of my SAMSUNG 12 MEG to transfer the photo to my new folder?
3) Should I put them all in the same folder?
4) Am I right that any duplication will be found by the ORGANIZER and this will be solved easily?
5) My guess is that they will all end up being in date order like yyyy-mm-dd.
In the videos on line, they don’t talk much about that special case of organizing a big data bank into one single new computer
