I have an image in photoshop that is currently black and white, but I would like to print in a monochromatic green, as in just #00ff00 colour; so that it prints in green and white. How do I edit the image so that it prints like this?

Adobe Colour Management Print defaults seems to be assigning RGB meta to B&W pages and incurring Colour Print charges for B&W prints.I can manually change the print colour management to Printer managed on a per print basis instead of the default adobe colour managed which "cures" the issue but I do not seem to be able to save that setting as the default.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been working on a large number of sketches. At this stage I am just using the path tool to make the outlines of my cartoons.
I have got fairly confident with the path tool now, however on my first 3 pictures my paths were a mess. The first 3 pictures I stroked the path at 10 pixels, I would like to reduce this to 6 pixels. I am not able to go back to the original paths so I guess I need to select lines from the completed pictures and and convert these to paths, then restroke.
I have been trying to select by colour (it is all black) but that gives me the outline of the black, ie, a double path. I have tried selecting the back ground and expanding it by 2 pixels, this worked but not in tight corners.
When I try to plot the file from the layout the middle and right part of my xref'ed image comes out as a black box - the top, bottom and left edge are fine. As are the line-drawings from two other xref on top of the image. The problem accourse both when I try to a physical copy on our plotter and when I try to plot to a pdf.
I'm working in autoCAD 2013 for mac and the files I'm working on are located on a server.
I scanned a black and white print in color and am trying to replace all the black with dark green. Been trying for hours in elements 9. This is all so hard. Just to ask this question I have typed it into 3 different screens, set screenname, many other hurdles.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am designing a T Shirt for my ski club.I have taken an image from a banner (made in illustrator, full colour image attached) and I want to devide into a 3 colour image for the t shirt (I am only allowed 3 colours for printing).The colours I want to use are black, white and purple. The colour of the t shirt is a light blue.I want to then put the purple logo on top of the white and black too.So I'm after a black and white grunge background with a punchy purple logo on the top.All of this should be on a tranparent or, for design purposes, light bue (same as T Shirt colour) background.
how to split a full colour image into using only 3 (4 including transparent/light blue background) exact colours.
If I were going to black and white I might convert to grey scale and then paint areas to fully white or fully black using an overlay brush I don't think this works for me for more than just black and white though.
I have attached two of my attempts where I used the colour range selection and level adjustments. Niether was really successful though (one does not use the right colours or number of colours but looks quite cool).
I've been asked to convert an image to 2 colour for printing. I have the image as a full colour CMYK layout (with layers), but the whole thing needs to be converted to 2 colour. I have the pantone reference numbers for the 2 colours it is to be converted to. I am familiar with the hue/saturation tool, but this just seems to convert it to one colour, and you have no fine control over the exact colour you want.

I use EdHarvey's colour tint tool and it changes colour of the whole image, I'm looking for something similar but it only changes selected colour, so that the image is left with mutiple colour scheme rather than just one, any addon that can do this?

I have line art on a transparent layer. That is, it's not part of a white layer, but just black on nothing. I want to easily change that to a colour without changing the quality of the line. I know I can put a screen layer above it with a colour and that makes the black coloured, but it only shows up if I flatten it on to white. Otherwise, that's exactly the look I want, just not on a flattened white layer. I need to keep the line on the transparent layer so that I can paint under it, so I can't flatten it on to white. I also don't want to select the line and fill it as that significantly changes the quality of the line. I just want to change the colour of the line without chaning it's density, or any pixels.
View 9 Replies View RelatedYesterday when I opened a black and white image from LR4 to Photoshop CS6 they opened as RGB-sRGB, today after doing an update to both photoshop and camera raw they now open up with an embedded profile mismatch of gray gamma with the option to change the working profile to dot gain 20%. I don't recall seeing these options before, looking in edit-colour settings I don't have any options to change to RGB.
I can of course change the settings to RGB in image-mode and also in edit-convert to profile but this would be a real pain to do this everytime I want to work with b/w.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI printed a black and white scanned (gray scale) image on Saturday, no problems.
On Sunday I noticed a small hairline from the negative, cloned it out and reprinted. The image had acquired a distinct purple cast. All attempts ticking a variety of appropriate (and possibly inappropriate) boxes in PS and the printer options failed to remove the cast. Rescanning and the cast is still there. Printing on another printer (HP) and the cast is there, so I presume it's source is Photoshop (CS).
I have a picture that I would like to make black and white but with some colour. From what I can gather, I've to make the picture black and white and then add the colour to the bits I need after, however, the bit I want to remain in colour is a flower and the way the light hits it, the red is in different shades, making it impossible for me to colour it back exactly how it is.
Is there a simpler way...like select the parts I want to go black and white?
would like to use it to start making my pics stand out more. My first experiment is to make a colour pic into black and white, THEN bring back the original colours in certain parts of the pic. ie i have a pic of an old steam train, and i want to leave the surroundings in colour, but turn the steam train in the picture to black and white. I have been advised on less photoshop specific forums, to turn the whole pic to B&W, then use the history brush to bring back the colour to the parts of the pic i want to be in colour.
