I try to update PS6 from the Help/Updates menu and get the following error message:

My version of PS6 is: 13.0.1x32. I am running Windows 7 and IE9. I have LR3 installed-I don't know if this is a problem.
I tried twice (the second time after a reboot) to install the update to Camera Raw 7.3 but got an error with the number U44M1P15. So far i have been updating without a hitch.

Using a MAC.
I make a change to the effected parts/assemblies. Save them. Close them. Then open the .idw drawing, it begins updating the views. Then I get this message:
"The attempted operation did not produce a meaningful result. Try with different inputs."
It doesn't effect all the views, only one view. The other five views get updated without issue. The one view that doesn't is the parent view to two of the other views that update just fine.
I've tried rebooting my machine. Checked in all the files and opened them fresh after a reboot.Â
The company I work for recently updated a few of our computers with the SP2 for Civil 3D 2013. After this update, every time I create a surface profile, things get all messed up. Like I have done dozens of times before, I create the profile then open the profile creation tools. I am using the draw tangents with curves tool and as soon as I click my first tangent point, it shows up about an inch over to the left. I have struggled through and used the grips to edit after the fact but this used to be a VERY easy task. FYI my snap isn't on or anything goofy like that and when opened on a computer without the service pack, it works as it should.Â

Civil 3D appears to run o.k., no error messages upon opening a drawing...
i just started using gimp on ubuntu 13.10 . almost half of the menu items are greyed out. most of the filters work or ar not greyed out, g'mic is greyed out and so is most of the stuff in the file menu (export, save, save as, etc.) . i already tried re-installing gimp from the software center with no prevail. this is how it was the first time i installed it on this new ubuntu 13.10 .
is there something that i can do to maybe refresh the entire gimp folder maybe? maybe delete it then re-install gimp. i really dont know if this would fix anything though.
this is really irritating. and no its not the "image RGB/indexed mode" problem.
im pretty sure i dont have anything installed (like some weird ubuntu restricted access fake file) that could interfere with the interface at all as this is a pretty fresh installation. the most i have installed that might even be close to interfering with the interface is "pipelight" which is for flash and silverlight, not gimp.
i even tried different color profiles and none of them work. i even downloaded the brand new color profiles from adobe. none of those work either.
the only way i got ALL of the menu options back, including g'mic, was opening gimp through raw therapee (basically adobe lightroom for ubuntu) which might be of some use in finding an answer to this?
i already have everything i need installed including the ubuntu restricted access extras and such.i just would like gimp to open normally with all the normal file menu options enabled like everyone elses and not be all greyed out ..
A co-worker scanned a photo and emailed it to me to edit it and try to improve it, but everything I want to do is grayed out so I can't select it and I can't figure out why. Maybe it has to do with how she scanned it?

When selecting a sub menu from within a main drop down menu the arrow points to the right but the actual sub menu pops up on the left in most cases. I have only noticed this recently and wonder if I have inadvertently messed up a setting as in the past I cant recall this being so but I don't use the editor a lot so may be mistaken.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
I recently upgraded to 2012 but forgot to install the express tools, Doh!. I installed them through control panel repair and everything works. Except when I close and restart ACAD the menu bar express menu disappears. I can bring it back by using cuiload but this is not ideal. Any way to get it to stick?Â

How do I add custom menu items to the main menu in Illustrator?
I would like to build my own menu with scripts that I use alot. This is a powerful feature that I use alot in other programs, but I have not seen any examples of this in illustrator.
all the twirly triangle dropdown menu things (what's the official term?) underneath the contents menu of layers. Especially now that I'm working with Convert to Shape Layer functionality I'm wondering what an efficient/shortcut based way to work with these inner menus is. For instance when converting Text to Shape layers - it seems like I'm spending most of my time dealing with twirly triangle management

Using VS X5 - Just making up a menu for my dvd im burning. Haven made a menu since using ..VS11+ I think it was.
All seems very very familar...similar etc and not asking it to do anything out of the ordinary which 11+ couldnt cope with ( just nowadays using all this AVCHD malaky etc )
Question -Main menu of my dvd - Why am I getting on my main menu page the begininings of my movie!!! I have my main menu setup ( bringing in a pre-made 30second clip on which I will put 'Press Play to watch movie' and/or 'chapter select'. ) When i preview my main menu page...I see the 30second clip i wanted but as it runs so too does my actual movie - at the same time.
I cant seem to find a button to ..basically..tell it not to play the movie as soon as you load the dvd but instead to wait until the 30 second main menu runs and automatically reruns etc until YOU decide to press the 'Play movie' button.
I intended to add more option at right click shortcut menu. Is it possible to be done?

After reinstalling Photoshop on my new iMac I'm unable to run the 11.0.2 upgrade installer. It tells me that 11.0.2 is "already installed".The "About" box in Photoshop shows the version as 11.0.
I have copied the Background Layer and deselected this. I have then made adjustments to the copied Layer and when I commit the Background Layer will change as well.  I then created a New Layer and selected only this one, but then all layers were changed.Â

I recently purchased the Adobe Creative Suite (CS6.0). About a year and a half ago I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 and I have been using it heavily and customizing it. I have installed the Creative Suite and Photoshop CS6 shows up as a completely different application than Photoshop CS5.1.
How do I transfer all my custom brushes, swatches and other settings to Adobe CS6? Is there a way to just update the 5.1 into 6.0 while retaining all my settings?
