I am running Windows XP and understand I must use DNG converter to open AWR files in PSE 12. I have downloaded DNG converter, but still do not know how to open the AWR files.
View 3 RepliesI created droplets for my photos but I have a problem with them. When I move files to the shortcuts while Photoshop is already open, nothing seems to happen. I have to close and re-open the program everytime I use the droplet shortcut for the action to take place. Why is it? How can I fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Mac running OS X version 10.7.5. I have Photoshop Elements 8 and 9 installed. They work fine. I also have Photoshop CS5.1 installed. It worked fine for a number of months until yesterday. Now, it will not open. I re-installed from the disk, and went throught the whole process, and it said "Done". However when I double-click the icon I get the spinning color wheel for a second or two, and the icon blinks, but nothing opens. I restarted my machine, but that didn't solve anything - I got the same result.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed PSE11 on Windows 8 machine and it ran fine once. Now it launches and I see it starting then dissapears. I think it is running in backround as i see it in task manager. I ran the compatability trouble shooter and used the recommended settings but problem persists. Also tried running as adminestrator and still same problem. The auto uploader runs fine as well but then I cant see organizer. I had the same issues with PSE10 but that ran fine on this same machine for a month. My problems started when i left PSE10 running and let the computer sleep, hybernate and eventually shut down. Ever since then PSE 10 and now PSE 11 wont run or runs in backround and I cant see them. I have unistalled and re-installed bioth to no avail. Do I need to do a PC recovery?

1. I can open PS Elements and can open "Organize", but when I try the "Edit", it shuts down the program. Think a file may be corrupt. I live in Canada and in Australia for 3 months so don't have access to my DVD to re-install.
2. If needed, I may have to buy new software. I am running PS Elements Primere 10 on my Mac desktop at home. Can I upgrade to PS Elements 12 on my laptop on the Mac side?
How do I keep a running count visible in my catalog? I always had it in 10 but it seems to hide in 12.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have ACA 2013 (student version) running in the Windows 8 environment. I cannot open anything drawn in a previous release nor can I open a drawing created in ACA 2013 that was installed on the Windows 7 platform.
I have tried to drag in the drawings through design center. That worked for a while now when I try that it causes ACA to crash. Also I have tried multiple drawings that were created in several different versions of ACA. (2004, 2006 and 2009)
As a side note I was able to open those files in ACA 2013 running on the Windows 7 OS.
I backed up an APE-11 catalog from an 8 yr.old laptop running 32 bit Win-7 Home Premium to an external HD. Now I am trying to figure out how to transfer that catalog to my new laptop which is running 64 bit Win-7 Professional edition.

When I try to open one of the images from my Nikon d5200, I see a pop up that says I need Camera Raw documentation. I assume that this means a download. Looked at the list available & did not find one
Windows Explorer set to open image files with PSE11, but when I double click on image in WE it launches PSE11, but I then need to click on Open tab in PSE11 to get it into work window. PSE10 did not have this problem
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have both Photoshop CS5 and Elements 7 on my laptop, which uses OS Windows 7 64-bit. Recently I was trying to use CS5 and it keeps freezing on me and giving me an "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working" error. Since CS5 wouldn't work, I tried switching to Elements 7. When I double-clicked the icon, I got nothing but the swirly blue 'wait' circle. It won't open at all unless I try to open a PSD file, then the editor screen pops up for just a moment and I get another "has stopped working" error.
The only thing I've recently installed was an Intuous 5 tablet. Thinking that might be the problem, I tried uninstalling it but not only does the problem still persist, I can't re-install my new tablet because the installation software uses Adobe Projector and I get a, wait for it, "Adobe Projecter has stopped working" error. All my other programs are working fine, it's only the Adobe programs that keep giving me errors. I've tried restarting the computer and uninstalling and re-installing Photoshop. My system is fully updated, as are both programs. The error I get in the event log is this:

Earlier in the Day it works to open the same file it a second time. I can open the Same Raw twice with different Setting. You know what i mean?

I click "open," navigate to the picture I want to open and nothing happens. I tried holding down, Ctrl, Alt, Shift when starting the editor to reset preferences and that did nothing. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am aware of the way to open JPGs in the ACR module by being in the Editor, and going to File>Open and changing the file type to RAW. I find this to be terribly inconvenient, however.
Is there any way to open a JPG in RAW from the Organizer where I can actually see the files? With regular Photoshop/Bridge I can just right click in Bridge and open in RAW easily. But I can't seem to find a way to do something similar in PSE11? There has to be an easier way because going to File>Open and trying to figure out what file I need from a huge pile of files is not a very good workflow.

But now when I try to open it, a message pops up saying: "could not complete your request becuase the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop." I understand that I should've saved as a jpeg too but is there any way I can get this back, I really don't want my hard work to go to waste and to have to start over! I am using Elements 10.
