Photoshop Elements :: Can't Retrieve Images From Adobe Online Storage
Oct 19, 2012My computer was infected this week by the FBI scam trojan virus. Microsoft Windows tech had no choice but to return CPU to original factory settings. I reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and attempted to retrieve my images from Adobe online storage. Only 121 of my images reappeared, even though a status bar shows my online storage level at over 7GB. Now when I open PSE9, if I click on "Organize," the program either immediately closes or I get an error message that says "the requested operation could not be completed because the catalog is currently locked by another process."
I've tried restarting my computer and even shutting down my computer, but still no luck. I can't figure out "other process" could be locking out the catalog.

Nov 5, 2012My hard drive crashed and I lost all my data and pics. The pics are stored in a 20gig file on the adobe cloud. The software does not show me how to bring those pics back to my new hard drive.

Oct 1, 2012I purchased a Bamboo Create and I have had nothing but, problems with the Adobe software that came in it. The other software works fine. However, Adobe thinks I should upgrade immeditaely even though I just spent $200 to the new Elements. In fact before 11 came out, I could not manage my photos because being locked out since I would not upgrade to 10. Now, I cannot get Elements to work to even manage storage because my online 2gb is full but yet I do not want all of those photos online. I want to delete many of them. But, Adobe keeps pushing the page to upgrade to 11, and then my elements 9 locks up and stop responding because it says that my online is full. 2GB what a chinchy amount of storage that is. This software does not work from the get go due to the Inspiratation Browser update with the Adobe Air debackle.
I have been thinking about going to 11, but I should not be forced to and the software that I just purchased should work. I had not realized how greedy Adobe was/is.
how to make the software that I just purchased work? how to manage my online storage without upgrading to 11. As soon as I upgrade to 11, Adobe will just come out with another $80 to $100 upgrade that I will hae to buy or else 11 will stop working.

Aug 21, 2011I'm working on a plan that contains an xref with some elements that are not visible in paper space at my chosen scale. The xref is an annotated structural grid. It is entirely visible in model space, but in paper space only the grid is visible, annotations such as dimensions and section cut indicators are not. Strangely, or maybe not, when I change the scale in paper space, these elements appear.
Other presentation tabs exist, created by other people, that use a different scale and those presentations properly display. The annotations are blocks in the xref document, and I wonder if those blocks could somehow be set to only display at a certain scale. I don't see any such options in the block editor. Although, I have added to this document, I did not create it, nor the xref or the blocks.

Dec 8, 2012I want to save a picture from Elements 10 to an Adobe RGB color space .jpg file. I have set the color management optimiztion to Adobe RGB but it still saves as sRGB. In the Save As window it says it is saving as ICC Adobe RGB but it saves it sRGB anyway! Also, there's no way to know this unless you run another program that detects the color space, such as QImage. I want to save in Adobe RGB.

Today, I can access the photos with the "Organizer" and do quick fixes, but I cannot access the full Editor. I am going down to the "EDITOR" buttom on the Task Bar at the bottom of my screen. I click this button and nothing happens. Also pls note that I cannot access the Editor from the shortcut that the installation put on my desktop.
