I'm on an iMac running OS/X 10.8.5..I have been struggling with this for 2 weeks now, I even bought a new scanner yesterday and still nothing shows up. if this is a function that Photoshop Elements 12 is no longer capible of doing... if so any photo editing software that CAN do this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 6 to Elements 11 on a brand new iMac running OS X 10.8.2, but Elements 11 will not recognize my Epson Perfection 4990 PHOTO Scanner as an option to import from when I click on "File" then "Import." Is there a Plug-In that may be missing for this to operate as it used to in Elements 6 running on an older G5 Non-Intel processor? I don't have the new Elements 11 Disk to copy anything from, since I downloaded the program directly from Adobe.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI know this can be done but I don't know how. You lay the photos out so that all the screen space is taken by the photos.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI find only limited image import options under Photoshop CS5 and CS6. Under CS3, I have a number of options which I have used frequently, regarding preview, zoom, descreening, filtering, stretch, noise removal, fading, grain, etc.
None of these seem to be available under either CS5 OR CS6. In fact, under CS5, under "FILE>IMPORT", I I don't even GET the Canoscan 8400F opton. This is pretty basic stuff, getting good quality off a scanner. Do I need to go back to CS3 for everything? It actually worked.
I just installed PSE 11 and I would like to move the pictures from my iPhoto 9 Library in to PSE 11.
What is the best way to accomplish this as far as accuracy of data?
I just installed Photoshop Elements 11 and want to use the PSE 11 Organizer to manage my photos. I currently have about 45,000 photos on my harddrive organized in folders. The filenames of the photos in these folders are whatever the default naming convention is for my camera - IMG_00001.jpg etc. So you can imagine that the possibility of having the same filename for different photos is quite high.
My problem is that when I want to import all these photos into PSE 11 I get an error saying there are duplicate photos and the duplicates are not being imported. I have a lot of these conflicts and I can't seem to find any option to allow the files to be imported. Are there any workarounds to this issue that don't involve manually renaming all the conflicting files? What are my options here?
I am creating a new catalog for my photos in the Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer. When I choose "File Get Photos and Videos From Files and Folders...", the only option I have to import my photos is "Media Files". "Media Files" includes all picture and movie formats. I do not want to import my home movies, only my family photos. I do not see a filter to import only photo formats (e.g. *.jpeg and not *.mts). "File Get Photos and Videos By Searching..." does not proivide this option either. It's a problem because my photos and videos are stored along side each other in the same folders, and I have nearly 2 TB of data.
How can I import only my photos in to a new catalog in Photoshop Elements 11?
Im using photo shop elements 10 and need to know how to import and export photos
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got Photoshop Elements 6 on my iMac desktop running OS X 10.7.4. When I click on File>Open in PE6, my iMac Finder opens. I then select Photos and all my iPhoto and Photo Booth files open. But I cannot click on (well, I can click on them but nothing happens) any photo to pull it into PE6. It seems a simple operation, but apparently not for me!

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is a problem that has gotten progressively worse recently. I can still download photos from my camera to the hard drive using Elements 5, but I can no longer import more than about 5 photos at a time from the hard drive to the Organizer. My computer is a Dell 8300 purchased in 2004, with a Pentium 4 processor, 500 GB hard drive, 4 GB RAM,Windows XP, and Norton AntiVirus. I have about 265 GB of photos on a 350 GB partition (G: drive) of the hard drive. The other partition (C: drive) has about 50 GB of free space.
I've tried many fixes, including using CCleaner and Microsoft Disk Cleaner to remove unnecessary files and fix Registry problems; turning off and repowering the entire system; using Nikon Transfer to download the photos, instead of Photoshop; using Startup Inspector to remove unnecessary startup programs, as well as turning off all other software.
I get two different messages, at different times, from Elements when the process freezes:
1. "The ODBC data source reported the following error: "Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Invalid argument."
2. "The ODBC data source reported the following error: [Microsoft] [ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time." (I'm not on a network.)
I also sometimes get another message from Norton: "High CPU usage by AOL", even when AOL is shut down.
Is it possible to import photos automatically into the organizer in elements 11, like picasa does?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow can I import photos with the same file number (they are different photos but Elements seems to treat them as duplicates.) I already unchceked the preference box that would prevent duplicate photos from being imported, but it hasn't worked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to import into the organizer just the most recent iPhoto ppictures. The problem is every time I want to import from iPhoto the system wants to import thousands of photos which I do not need. All I want are the last half-dozen or so shots that I took that's all.
