I downloaded photoshop CS6 from creative cloud to my mac. Under filter/sharpen I do not have shake reduction. Is this a setup problem or a app.

I currently have 13.1.2 x 64. I do not have Shake Reduction in Filter > Sharpen. How to get Shake Reduction to show.
Every time I try to use shake reduction, it works on the photo but then immediately crashes Photoshop CC and I have to reboot the computer to get it to open again. I suspect it has something to do with RAM. Mine is set for 1192MB. Is that enough? The images I tried were about 2000 x 3000 at 72ppi.

I really want to use the Shake Reduction tool but it is not appearing in my filters list even though I have Photoshop CC all updated? What to do to gain this amazing filter.

This is not a scratch disk error, as I have two-2TB drives as my scratch disks (nothing on either yet). 16GB memory (RAM), 14680MB available memory to PS, 2030 available VRAM. Running nVida GeForce GTX 670 on a Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz.
Is this a GPU function that may not be available to some graphic cards? Is my image too big (4000x3000px)?
Shake reduction otherwise works well, but the "unlock preview" button under the loupe view causes the filter to completely freeze up and then I often have to reboot.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm starting to get fairly comfortable with the new shake reduction tool in CC and the results are fantastic. It's already saved several old photos that I had given up on as hopelessly motion blurred. Now that I'm getting familiar with the tool though, I have a question. I know the tool allows for multiple blur traces to be created. How are they used, and won't they conflict with one another. If part of the image is more blurred than another, or blurred in a slightly different direction, won't the corrections applied from the blur trace determined by one part of the image actually further blur the parts of the image where that blur trace doesn't apply (and isn't the same true of the second trace then)? how the tool handles multiple traces? Are they applied locally with diminishing effect as the distance from the measurement region increases? Are they applied in some other smart fashion?

Unfortunately since changed carriers from ATT to Comcast, my ATT email no longer exists therefore, when they sent the instructions to make the change I just couldn't retrieve it.

Why does Adobe update the Creative Cloud and not to software I purchased to the same level?
View 9 Replies View RelatedNotice on Adobe site indicates that update 13.0.5 is available for Photoshop cs6 Extended--non Cloud version. However when in the program itself using the update didn't show any updates for Photoshop CS6 only Illustrator cs6. And this update on the Adobe download site only appears to be available for the mac and not the pc.
So where is this update and what is the Adobe play to keep CS6 Suite of non-cloud products up-to-date.
I have been a PS user since 2006 and while I'm not a professional artist I am a very keen photographer. Additionally, I can still pull out and the first year trial is relatively affordable for a CS6 user.
My question is this:
Once I signed up I reloaded CS6 from the CC product options. I then checked for updates and it reloaded some updates. So how do I know I have the CC version? The System Info states that I have Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.1.2 (13.1.2 20130105.r.224 2013/01/05:23:00:00) x64.
The reason I ask is that I saw an interesting blog item on syncing settings with the CC Cloud. When I checked my CS6 menu, I did not have the Sync option. I am thinking that this may not be the correct way to update my in-place installed version of CS6 to the more current version of CC CS6.
Photoshop will not open in a Creative Cloud trial, although Indesign & other programs are fine, says I need an internet connection or the clock is set wrong?
