Photoshop :: Anyway To Create A Watched / Monitored Folder For Actions

Is there any way to set up a watched folder in Photoshop to automatically batch run an action on any image that is dropped into that particular folder?
Similar to how distiller works for PDFs.I have Creative Suite Web Premium 5.5 so if any of the other packages in the suite will do the job but I can't seem to find it.A droplet won't do the job as although the processing will take place on my machine - the image may be dropped into the folder by a colleague elsewhere.
 I have all my PSE images in one watched folder (with 88 sub-folders). 60,500+ files. But, PSE (v10) only reports 43,700+. Ideally these two numbers shoul;d be very close. For instance I am careful to delete from the folder also when I delete from the catalog. How do I go about discovering which files in that folder are not in the catalog? Is there a way of listing files in the catalog?
I have "my pictures" set up as a watched folder in Elements 11 organizer. The Services.msc is set to automatic in the "Adobe active file manager". New photos are not being detected when I open the application. I have tried removing and resetting. I have rebooted the PC. This feature was working at one time.
I keep getting a message "New files found in your watched folder". But it shows me old files. If I say I want to download them, it tells me it cannot.
i can't seem to add any dropbox folder (for that matter dropbox location doesn't even show up) as a folder to add to the 'watched' folder? I also can't import from a search in dropbox, I can only do one file at a time?
I installed Photoshop CS6 on my iMac and MacBook. The MacBook has a "Default Actions" folder in the actions panel with 13 default actions. This folder did not appear on my iMac following install. However, my iMac has several image and text effect actions installed that did not install on my iMac. Would like to have the Default Actions on my iMac and text and image effect actions on my MacBook.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to save in a specific folder desitnations when using Actions and Saving For Web with CS6 PS for Windows. It ALWAYS defaults to last folder used. I am not Batch Processing, just using Actions on one image at a time. I have 3 of these actions.
Action one is for "Thumbnail" folder, Action two is for "Full" folder, and Action three is for "Large" folder. All these actions are doing is saving for web into these folders (path displays correctly in Action script). HOWEVER after I successfully use Action one and save into the Thumbnail folder and move on to Action 2, it wants to save back into Thumbnail AND NOT into Full folder. In short I now have 3 actions saving to the same folder even though my recording designated 3 different locations.
i'm on a Mac. upgraded from cs3 to cs6. I opened a new Photoshop file and went to do an action that I normally do with this type of file. (I have created my own action.) But Actions is no longer where it used to be — which I think was in the History area, but I'm not sure, I just go by feel. In any case, I can't find anything having to do with Actions. Where is it hiding?
We run Actions on a group of images using CS4 with the File->Automate->Batch function. We use this to take, for example, 200 images from a set folder, run an action to change them into a different colour and save in a different folder, we need to do this 20 times on the same images running a different script each time to change them into a different colour and save them in the same folder (with different file extensions) Â Is there a way we can instruct Photoshop to run all of these 20 scripts (one after the other in a queue as it where) without having to "Babysit" it and ask it to run each one off ourselves?
i have been looking for and trying to make an action in CS2. I would like to be able to resize an entire folder of pics to 800x600 but i cant seem to find one or create on that works.

I started a new project. I linked a revit file. I copy monitored key levels from the linked file. The color of the level heads is black and this indicates that there are no associated plan views. My question is, what is the best way to create plan views from the copy monitored levels?
Having changed the watched files folder, when I add a file, Elements picks it up immediately. However, I previously loaded a lot of files on e without realising Elements was only watching c. What is the best way to pick up those new files? (I don't think I can delete tham and start again.)  Just get the media from the file, it imports it all then says it didn't import the old stuff as it was already in the catalogue. really should think about this more before I do anything.Â
how to create actions using the new condition statements - tried google nothing step by step with examples. Â I would like to crop an image to suit then have it resize vertically to a set size then stroke it with a colour of your choice (would stop and ask you to pick a colour from the image) then save it. Before conditions I made one but if the image changes the ratio of width to height during the crop it fails. Also of course before conditions it uses the colour for the stroke that I chose when making the the original action. BTW I don't have a document portrait option, document square and document horizontal only.
I have a technique for creating a 'rough' black border on photos, but it can't be used with actions. (By rough I mean a similar effect to that which used to be reproduced when darkroom printing from a full frame 35mm negative).
Can anyone please suggest a technique to produce such an effect which I could record into an action, it would have to work with both horizontal and vertical photos, though the longest edge size would remain the same.
I have not been able to create new folders in Elements 11. I have only been able to rename folders, not make new ones. In v7 & 9 it was easy, but not so in v11.
I want to create some universal bricks creations. These bricks have studs which fit into another brick. To constraint them I need to do following actions:
- click place constraint
- Assembly >> Insert >> opposed
- Offset 0,35mm.
I would like to make above into 1 action, so just click to add this action, then select the 2 faces to constrain.
I have a bunch of pictures in a folder, and lots of sub folders inside that folder with picture too. I made an action that has a filter, and a save command.
When I try it on that folder, it overwrites the pictures and while it does a batch on the sub folders, it throws it back in the main folder.
What I would like instead: I want to do the command on all the pictures, but I want Photoshop to create a duplicate folder (named slightly differently if able) inside my own folder and sub folders with the filtered images.
Say I have 2 folders here, I want Photoshop to go into "batch test main folder", then dive into the sub folders, make a new folder within that pictures1 folder, named Filter Pictures or something, and throw all the filtered images from Pictures 1 in there without harming them. Then go to Pictures 2, make a new sub folder in there too etc.
I downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and that’s when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).
Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.
I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit “load actions” and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking “why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) “Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost”.
I have searched for the settings folder and couldn’t find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just don’t run.
I’m a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.
one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.
I need to create a new white layer above a group folder which have an object but instead I am getting a blank layer when I filled the blank layer with white the object below disappear is there a way I can create a white layer without the object below disappeared?
Can I create a master folder in elements organizer and move other folders into the master folder? For example, a master folder named "trees" and move existing folders named "Apple" "Pear" "Pine" that have information and pictures of that particular tree.
My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.
I am converting 1100 files from RAW to JPEG in ACR and after about every 10 or 15 images I randomly get the script alert 'I am unable to create a file in this folder. Please check your access rights to this location'  Under the properties on that folder 'full permission' is checked for everything. All of the images that have been processed are saved into that folder as well.
I am trying to simplify my existing catalog, in order to move it to a new computer and to then upgrade to LR4. When I right click on a top folder, and click "Add parent folder", I do not get a new visible parent folder, and my existing folder disappears from view.
