New to PSP X3 -took a number of pixs of the kids on the trampoline which has an enclosed netting and of course i was outside - the neeting is bery fine - is there a way to edit it out
View 6 RepliesI have a 10in w x 12 in H photo that is too big to scan so I have scanned the lower half as per landscape mode and repeated this with the top half, so now I have 2 overlapping halfs that I have rotated so that they are both upright.The idea is to join them together to finish up with a copy of the original pic.
How do I go about getting the result I want .PSPro X.
I have PSP x4 and recently I am getting no images found. The folder shows up in PSP but when I click on it, it says no images found. It is happening on all my recent downloaded images and a few random folders from a while back. It also is stuck on updating cache settings for about 3 minutes when I am opening the program, it started doing this and the folder issue at the same time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI took some pictures outside recently and when I looked at them later realized there were sun spots on them. I have Coral Paint Shop Pro x2 and how to remove this sun spots so I can salvage the pictures. Some of the spots are yellowish color and some are white. They are all on peoples legs so I have not been able to find a way to remove them. I have tried the cloning but it looks funny. I have also tried creating a new layer and removing the color yellow from the picture but that doesnt seem to work either.

Picture a shape like a letter "o" where there is shape data comprising the perimeter ring, and no shape data in the center. I trace the perimeter of the the shape making a solid eliptical-type shape, but I need to then remove a portion of the center of the shape so that only the ring of the O has vector data. For some reason, the new version creates this little "empty space" at the end of text which I cant figure out how to get rid of! I attached a screenshot to show you what I mean. a) I follow the tutorial above to remove backgrounds. However, the background has similar color than picture (in this case "white" - picture attached - FIG_2). So, when I use "background eraser" tool, it erase part of my picture as well. So, how to handle it properly?
b) The tutorial was usefull to other image that has different backgound color (FIG_3 attached). But using other software (Gimp) I could just take the transparency index (color=> color to alfa) with "one click" without the request of erase background manually. So, is there any similar way to do it easily in Paint Shop?

View 6 Replies View RelatedCovering with a netting. There must be an easier was, but, here is how I do it - I need to learn a better way.
1) I have photo of a large yellow pillow on top of a blue sofa. I want to apply netting over the pillow.
2) I create a "netting image" (using mspaint, really quick) large enough to cover the pillow, with 2-pixel-wide diagonal lines and white spaces in between of about 8 pixels. This file is opened under mspaint, and copied all to the clipboard.
3) In CS2, with my sofa jpg opened, I duplicate the background layer, giving me a "background.copy" layer, and I hide the original background layer.
4) I use the magic wand and quick mask brush to select the pillow, then I delete it (from background.copy)
5) I paste from the clipboard, giving me a 3rd layer (layer1) consisting of the black on white net large enough to cover the pillow - this new layer gets automatically selected.
6) I use the magic wand, with "contiguous" unticked, and select all the white spaces between the lines - then I delete these white spaces.
7) I move the background.copy layer on top of layer1 (the net layer), and I see my sofa with the pillow deleted but with the mesh showing in the deleted space where the pillow should be, but nowhere else.
8) I show the original layer "background", and the yellow pillow now appears, but the netting lines are showing over it, and nowhere else.
9) I flatten the image and its done.
Two things - this is really involved for something so simple as covering an object with a netting. And, I don't know how to bellow and squish (distort) the netting to reflect a truer picture of how it would look around the edges (the netting should be more compressed close to the edges to reflect a true 3d picture of how it would look - something like the "Sphere" option from the Dstort filter - but, for non-spherical random shapes.
How do I get this effect?

I want to see with different backgrounds. I have scanned a portrait, and I can delete the (white) background so I get a checkered one and put it in a paint.net file. I can put the background (a) say in another file. I can't merge the two together.
I have opened an image (pear) from the net, deleted the white background around the pear, and tried to copy and paste that in my background. What I get is the pear with the white around it on top of my background.
i uploaded a pic to paint.net for editing .. i then edited it and saved it in my pictures on my pc.. but paint,net wudnt allow me to add it to facebook.. why..?

Just came upon an error I had not seen before. Though PSP no longer supports Animation Shop, up until PSP X4, the user has been able to export frames back to PSP from Animation Shop. Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

Is there an EASY way to remove the background from a photo and make it completely white? I mean, no "magic wand" or transparency %, etc... just a button I can hit to "remove background"... reason being, I need to do this for hundreds of images and it would be very time consuming to do it with the wand, etc.

I can plainly see an area in the picture where the colors are not natural to the picture. My question is how do I remove the extra colors without messing up what was behind them? It appears someone used a blur or smudge filter in this one area.

Do i remove that specific color from the picture completely? Do i somehow blend it into the background map?
Also, the new map layer is a series of 300 bright red points in a similar shape on a white background....how do i overlay only the red points?

I've got two ebooks coming out with "A NOVEL" in one and "a novel by" in the other. I put those in there thinking that they would distinguish them from other kinds of books, but hanging around in the ebook forums the great majority of people are like, 'Using 'a novel by' is amateurish and unnecessary as the book will be amongst other novels.'
Well, I've looked at plenty of ebooks online I thought were novels that ended up being short stories and I was not pleased, so I'm not entirely convinced I should be getting rid of them (the 'a novel by,' that is).
question #1) Do you think I should be getting rid of them?
Question #2) If so, any good way of doing that, where it still looks good?
The Find I did in paint.net before I knew about layers (unfortunately), so everything there is on the same layer.
Man of God was done by a professional cover designer and I have asked him to remove it, but I'm not sure if he will or not. (He did the cover maybe 7 months ago and I've got an email into him three days ago and haven't heard back.) So I don't know how this one was made.
And one last question: what is up with the file re-sizing action? I know that's vague, but when I re-sized The Find photo to 50% the paint.net uploader said it was too big. When I re-sized it to 40% paint.net said it was only 33.24 kb. Can that be? Plus paint.net was calling the file sizes just about double what they were in the file's properties.
