How do i get new fonts into paint.net?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI made a custom sprite for a game called MapleStory. I'm trying to use fonts over my pic but I can't see them.. and yeah. I don't think when I type the font it even adds the effect of the font it's supposed to.
Here's a pic:
Also is there a way I can preview the pic before I save it? Can't seem to do that either.
I used to know how to remove unwanted fonts off of paint net so I could have room for others I wanted to add but I forgot how to do it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm new here but for from new to PSP. I've used PSP8 for years and now are using PSP X1. I got PSP 4 but I'm not a fan at all. Anyway I've got a new PC running Win7 64 bit pro. The thing is PSP has decided it want use Adobe open style fonts. The True Type are fine. The open style do show in the fonts list and when used they do create a new vector layer and show the writing in the layers column. The thing is they don't show on the image. They used to work fine before but not now.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to have a more broad font selection on Paint.Net, and after doing a little research here, I've come to understand that I need to download the font, and then unzip it. How to do that.
note, my computer has Windows 8. I'm sure that doesn't change much, but the translation might be a little funky.
Is there any way to group, organize or categorize fonts I have installed in PSP so that I can have only my new fonts in one place? I am having to pick through all my fonts in order to test them all out.
View 13 Replies View RelatedJust today, while making graphics and such, my custom fonts just stopped working all together. Every single one that I have installed just shows up as nothing and is un-selectable when using it. The one in particular that i was using is Bebas Neue. Although all installed fonts are not working either. This happened out of the blue and I don't remember hitting anything or changing anything. Just typing with the font and it refused to show.
Steps Taken:
1. Reset All Preferences
2. Shift Key Trick on Load Up
3. Restarting the Computer
4. Reinstalling PSP X2
5. Using the font in other programs - Which they WORK (Word, GIMP, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
6. Uninstalling/Reinstalling the Font itself.
I have been using PSP X4 for over a year with OpenType fonts. Suddenly this morning, all OTF have quit working in PSP, but TrueType fonts work just fine. I can choose an OTF from the font name window and see the first 6 character preview. However, when I type, there is nothing visible with the OTF. The cursor moves, but nothing shows. After I have typed with the invisible OTF, the text box exists in the appropriate size for what I have typed, but you can't see anything -- completely invisible. I can highlight my invisible OTF typing and change it to TrueType, and the text is there. Likewise, I can type in a TTF, highlight my typing and change it to an OTF and the text becomes invisible.
So PSP is recognizing the text, it just won't display it in OTF.
I can open previously-created files that used OTF in the text, and the OTF text is not visible, either.
I've never had any problem with OpenType fonts in PSP before -- they've always worked just like the TrueType for me.
The OTFs work fine in all other programs on my computer -- only problem with OTF is in PSP.
All of my fonts on PSP Pro X4 are double-lined and hollow in the middle. How can I fix this so that the fonts are like they should be?

View 1 Replies View Relatednever knew there has a font folder in the user profile for Gimp until I wiped my user profile and moved all patterns, gradients, brushes, etc I have been putting in the program folder to the user profile folder because I read on here that it is better to keep all that stuff in the user profile folder of Gimp... my question is, what is the difference between installing your fonts into the system and placing them into the fonts folder in Gimp (besides all programs being able to use them)?? I've been installing all my fonts into the system I wanna use in Gimp... is it better to use the font folder in the Gimp user profile or to install them into the system?

View 3 Replies View Relatedhow to get Gimp to only showfonts from the user/fonts file rather than the vast amount of system fonts.
I think you should read the original mail again. Hint: "system fonts not shown" is not the problem, but the desired outcome.I have accidentally read a "not" into the original mail, thus it became "to get Gimp to *not* only show fonts from the user/fonts file"
The configuration to check is the fonconfig settings then, for example the the global, system-wide fonts.conf file. It may contain references to the global font directories, for example /usr/share/fonts/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts. URL....
If you comment those out, then you can (and have to) add all font directories in GIMP's settings, for example.
Once I installed windows 7, while I WAS using PSE 9, I had the tiny font problem. I stopped using PSE for 2 years. I just installed PSE 11. Though better, the Font is still way smaller than I would like. Maybe it's just tougher for seniors? Can they not make the font adjustable? I was told there is no way to increase the size of the font?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHow do I include 'Edge Web Fonts' (not Google Web Fonts) into Edge Animate?
View 18 Replies View RelatedIt used to be that I very rarely used fonts within CS5 but recently I have. I realized that all of the fonts supposedly included with CS5 are not available via my drop down menu.
I then found these fonts in Windows/fonts so I copied all of those fonts into Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Fonts. These unavailble fonts are now listed in that folder but are still not available via the dropdown menu in PS CS5.
I've recently read that the fonts don't really even NEED to be in the Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Fonts folder and that PS should actually make all of the fonts in Windows/Fonts available via the dropdown menu. Yes, I have restarted PS after copying the files and also tried rebooting my PC after copying the files. The fonts are still not available via the drop down text menu within PS even though all of them are now in both locations.
I have put some new fonts into C:/windows/fonts and they have come up in other programs e.g. Microsoft office but they are not showing up in photoshop.
i am using vista home premium with SP1 and it is 32bit and photoshop cs4.
Why don't I have the same fonts in cs6 as I did in cs5 and how do I get them back?

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe just updated from Draw X3 to Draw X5 on our 64-bit machines. We have one problem...We have two Helvetica types with exactly the same name, T1 Helvetica and TT Helvetica. In X3 we could have both fonts turned on, and it would let us use both fonts. Now in X5 when we have both fonts turned on it only allows us to use the T1 font. I am able to use TT, but I have to turn off the T1 in Font Navigator. I have read a lot of forums and understand that we should not have both T1 and TT, but our former worker used both font types, and we have to often go back and fix old files.
Is there a way in X5 to have both T1 and TT fonts show up like we have in X3?
If I'm creating a Photoshop PDF in order to keep the type in vector format, will the font then be embedded in the PDF? I'm not rasterizing the type since I want it to stay vector, but then I'm worried that if I share the file someone else will have trouble with it. I made a Photoshop PDF yesterday that I needed to share -- I just sent the font along with it. I knew it would probably ask for the font if they attempted to edit it in Photoshop -- but if they just printed it from the PDF maybe it would be embedded? Acrobat is listing it as an embedded subset, but I don't see how it can be embedded if the editing capabilities are still there.
