I have look at curves and levels but can't seem to get the right masking or layers that keeps the products properties.The main problem i think is because the product itself is a light colour against a background of what should be white.

I would imagine they shot something with contrasting dual colors since it would be harder to mask the solid white or black but my question is how do they change the color from black to white or visa versa without loosing any shadow integrity in the process?

Feb 25, 2014I recently decided to use LR to catalog all my images (instead of Bridge). I love that PNG is now supported. Ran into one problem...all the snowflake and white frame images are viewed as a white rectangle due to the background white. I know Preview and other "viewers" don't have this issue. ACDSee has a setting to change the background. Can I do this in LR5? If not, is there a link where I can submit for a product enhancement to the Product Management team for a future release of LR?

Apr 6, 2014I had subsctibed to the single program verion of CC early last year and purchased LR5 as soon as it was available, long before the Photography Bundle was introduced. Now I have no need for LR5 licence. Is there a way to unregister the program and have everything under CC? I have no need to install on 4 machines. Possibly transfer the LR licence?

Jan 11, 2012I am shooting Infrared pictures and I already missed the channel mix function in LR3. Now I saw in the video of LR4 Beta that now the channels can be modified individually but I miss a channel mix function.
Is it possible with LR4 to flip red and blue channel, like it is needed for color Infraed photography, or do I still need to work with PS or PSE ?

Put in serial number - says it is already registered - I know that - just not associated with me I guess. Deactived PS and tried again - same.

Sep 28, 2012I am using a pdf underlay to trace over and whenever the crosshair or pickbox enters a white area it does not shift color to black to remain visible. This leaves me picking randomly trying to guess where the crosshair or pickbox is. If I change the 3dconfig to disable hardware acceleration, the color shifts, but the pdf is whited out. Not to mention the fact that by disabling hardware acceleration, I'm wasting the expensive video card on the machine. Is there a workaround? updated driver? service pack?

I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.

On the right is the same photo as viewed in photoshop - again after desatuation to convert to black and white. My monitor is calibrated and photos opened in picture viewer or other simple programs look correct - but in lightroom or photoshop they have a tint. How do I remove this?

But then when I Select All/Copy/Paste Special into my Word documents, it comes over with a white background. I do not want this, especially because the Word document has a gray background. So what happens is, the logo looks like it has a white box around it. HOW do I copy and paste this EPS file into Word so that the background stays transparent??

I then click fuzzy select tool and click in the white area of the image then hit delete to remove the white background. When I re-save the image, I get the image on a checkered background.
