View 6 Replies View RelatedIn "Folder" I can delete file without problem. However, this is not possible from Collection. I wish to be able to delete files from collection as well. Moreover, when I delete a file in the Folder I do the following:
- Select the files to delete
- Press "Del" on the keyboard
- Click (with my mouse) on "Delete from Disk"
On Mac, I can not use the keyboard to confirm the deletion. It does works on Windows.
In LR3 I recently created a Smart Collection from color flagged photos. Now I want to add a few, and delete a few. How? The obvious method are not allowed with SMART Collections.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI mistakenly created a collection when only one file was highlighted. I made another collection with all the other files I wanted in it, but I can't drag that one file from the filmstrip..
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I specify a smart collection rule that says the source must be a collection matching some pattern, does this only apply to actual collections and exclude collection sets?
I was hoping fo a way to build a rule based on the collection set ... is this possible?
I also tried matching Any Searchable Text set to the collection set name, but that doesn't seem to work...wouldn't all photos in the collection set be associated with that string? Looks like no.
There used to be a way I thought that you could submit a new thread after doing a question search. That seems to be gone.
Is there a way to convert a collection to a smart collection?
I am using NextGEN to export images to WordPress. NextGEN created Publishing collections in Lightroom to match those in my WordPress blog. My problem is that they are not Smart Collections.
I am trying to create a new collection but I find that I do not have a "Set collection as target" (or whatever the correct phrase is, since I don't have it.) I have right clicked and examined all menu options.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhat are the rules for how elements (specifically, collections and other collection sets) are ordered within a collection set?
I was trying to get a collection to appear at the top of the list of items in a collection set, but it seems to get stuffed below all the other collection sets regardless of the name given to the collection.
any way to delete more than a single shape at a time from a shape collection file, other like step by step with the option key? I have one collection with about 400 shapes and would like to save it to some "groups", like people, arrows, devices..
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the Crop tool dailogue box, in general terms, what is the difference between ORIGINAL and AS SHOT aspect ratio. My understanding is, "ORIGINAL" is the imported image aspect ratio from a camera without any cropping being performed in LR. AS SHOT to me, means the same thing i.e. the image is "AS SHOT" from the camera.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a situation with LR4, where I have copies of the same photo in multiple folders. If I want to remove the shot from a particular folder, is the correct response delete from disk or remove? If I delete from disk wouldn't that remove not only that particular copy but all other copies that reside elsewhere in LR?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just shot in raw+jpg for the first time. Lightroom 4 won't import the raw file but will import the jpg. It says something like "lightroom doesn't support this raw file format". I don't get it though because if I shoot in just raw it will import fine.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI can't open raw files in Lightroom 3 shot w/Nikon D4. I have the current raw update. I now have to convert to DNG and that take a long time.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just shot a wedding. Half the images were shot in color, the other half were shot in monochrome(black and white). upon importing into lightroom only the color images would import. With the black and white files I got the error message saying that the files could not be read. I was shooting with a canon rebel t2i (550D), importing into lightroom 3.2 on a mac OS X.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to import RAW files shot on a D800 into LR3. I was told about a patch I needed...
View 6 Replies View Related*Where* do I find the "as shot" white balance for a photo I've already developed?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to import all my raw images from D800 in a single shot. It imports a few and displays a box saying some of the images were not imported (gives me a range). Re-importing fetches a few more before the msg is displayed again. I have to repeat this several times (7-10) before all images (250) are imported.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use LR3 extensively for tethered capture and think that Adobe did a great job for the first release of this feature but one critical option is missing.
I use tethered capture with the 'shot name' option selected which is great becasue it puts the different shots into their own folder in the catalog but it would be even more useful if there was a way to have the shot name included in the filename that is saved. I have played around with the custom filename options, which are extensive, but the shot name option isnt available. Is there a way to do this?
I'm trying to import RAW files shot from a friend's Canon 5D Mark III, but have been unsuccessful. It gives me the message "the file is from a camera which is not recognized by the raw format support in lightroom"
I normally import RAW files from my Canon 7D, but for some reason it's not recognizing these files.
How can I fix this?
I am new to shooting RAW NEF and then sharing them in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.4. How do you share (e-mail) NEF files shot with a Nikon D5100 that have been downloaded into Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.4.? Isn't there someway to convert to JPEG for sharing. I have 50th wedding anniversary photos taken and want to share with family and can't.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to import photographs from a SD card shot on Nikon D600. LR keeps saying "Preview unavailable", and that it doesn't recognise the raw format.
I have tried downloading images from card via a recovery programme and filed them on desktop in separate folder, then tried to import from the folder. Still no success.
In my Lightroom 3, updated top latest version I can't opne .NEF files shot on my Nikon D800 camera.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen importing images from a CF card, they are imported black/white, not color as exposed. Previous imports were normal color.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIssue I have of 'As Shot' WB value being lost when I import images into LR 5.2
Set-up: Leica M9-P (firmware v1.194); Summicron f2 50mm; LR 5.2;
Image capture WB value set to 5000k; ISO 160; DNG file capture
Everytime I import the DNG files it sets the WB value to the last value I had the slider set to and not the value I have set on my camera.
I have tried reloading the firmware on the camera just in case it wasn't saving the value in the file but this has not worked.
I use LR on two separate MacBook Pro laptops using a common catalogue and image library stored on a single external hard drive. The problem occurs on both computers.
It's hugely frustrating. I want to be able to adjust the value on the camera depending on the local light situation at the time of taking the shot and have this setting transfer into LR5.2 at time of imort. At the moment I am having to keep a manual note of the image number and setting so that I can recreate it in LR once imported.
When i try to delete a file from LR using the delete from disk option the file does not so up in my trash. I have deleted 200 bad files and the never showed up in the trash. I have been trying to clear up some disk space but the available disk still shows the same so I know they haven't been deleted. Am using Lion on a MacBook Pro 15 and am fully updated. Am I doing something wrong?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have LR 4.3, Camera Raw 7.3
Until yesterday I was able to delete pictures, using the contextual menu or the delete key. I got the message asking me if I wanted to delete them from disk or from the catalog.
But now, that popup message doesn't appear. The picture is not removed, just nothing happens.
I checked the logs and this is the error message:
performCommandDesc could not perform command ag.library.expandAllStacks (Command was disabled.).
I uninstalled LR moving it to the trash. Then I deleted the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist and I also removed the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
I rebbooted the machine and installed it again. But the issue is still there, with the same error message.
I verified the disk and checked file permissions.
I also tried to use another catalog from a backup.
Nothing, same error.
One anusual thing that I did before the error was to install the "HDRsoft Merge to 32-bit HDR Plug-in for Lightroom - Version 1.0"
I removed it but the error was still there. After the re-install I didnd't install that plug-in again so if it was the problem, it shouldn't be after the clean installation that I did again.
Machine Specs:
Man mini server mid 2011
2GHz Intel core i7
Ram: 8G
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 512MB
OSX: 10.8.2 (12C60)
I'm importing pictures from different cameras into the same catalog. I set the world time on both cameras so they could seamlessly integrate into one catalog by time. What setting do i need to choose in the catalog to make the pictures from the 2 different cameras integrate by time shot?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can have one photo in multiple collections and edit them differently. Right now if I edit in one collection the photo will change in all the collections. For example I want a collection with just Black and White pictures, but I want to still have the same pictures in color in a different collection. This is in LR3.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have created a collection set in Lightroom 5, and under this set there are 5 collections. I would like to make a slide show of this collection set, and I would like my slide show go in sequence with collection 1 through 5. Each collection has still and video images and I would like to put a text messages in the beginning of each collection segment.
I searched the web, look into few books that I have and I did not see anything dealing on how to make a slide show out of a collection set.
I have recently purchased and installed Nik collection. I have no problem reaching the plug-ins in Photoshopbut can't in Lightroom (except for HDR)
