Lightroom :: Changes To A Raw Photo?
Jan 1, 2014In lightroom 5, in the develop module, is there a way to remove the changes made to a raw photo, without having to "Remove" it from the library and reloading the file?

Nov 11, 2012After finally running out of space on my computer I've shifted my photo library onto an external hard drive. I did this outside of lightroom as I did not expect there to be too many complications
There is a general folder named "Photos" and within are the sub folders for the photos. I did a simple drag and drop from my computer to the hard drive and expected Lightroom to simple show the new directory in the folder panel.
What would be the simplest way to re-access the files since moving them to the new hard drive?

Mar 9, 2013When I'm looking at photos in my Library, I'd like to be able to sort them in terms of size.
A photo of 50 k is only of marginal interest for limited upload only. A photo of 15 mg is of great interest. The size tells me that it's at least moderately hi res and that there are probably a lot of pixels involved, and a good print can be made for publication or whatever. But I can't see a way to sort by image size. Is there a way? I'd like to separate a photo with a size of 720 X 480 from a photo with a size of 100 X 75.

Feb 4, 2014I can no longer export a photo in an email or email a photo from a right click on the photo. An error message appears that windows has a problem and the the program (LR 5) has to shut down. I've tried different export settings with the same result. This used to work just fine. I can export to the hard drive without a problem. I'm running Windows 8.1, outlook for email , and Avast for antivirus.

I keep hearing, over the years, of people backing up their photos without doing ANYTHING to them as a first backup, right out of the camera. Aug 20, 2012Question 1: I have having an issue comprehending how to save a photo. In my case I select the photo, zoom in on the subject, export it to my desktop. The pciture on my desktop does not incorporate the change. Am I missing a step? What do I need to do to export it with this change? I actually watched a You Tube video on this and could not see what i was not doing.
Question 2: I just installed Lightroom and am trying to import my 12k strong photo collection. The Import button pulls in about 2k and then cannot find anymore. The photos are stored in folders by date within a master folder. I am selecting the master folder. I can go in and import the sub-fodler individually. However i do not want to do that 200 times.There is no apparent way to go into the subfolder level and select more than one folder.
upgrade my opinion of Lightroom from it's current level of POS to usuable?
Lightroom :: Photo Backup In 4?
May 24, 2013If LR4 backup does not backup the actual photos,and the work done in LR4, how do you back up the photos? Is online backup of the PC the only way? I do a backup each time I exit LR but if the adjustments are not backed up that is not good.

Aug 2, 2013I just installed LR 5 and want to process an HDR photo in CS 5. When I select CS 5 on the "Edit In" the HDR option is greyed out. If I try to just process a photo in CS 5 I get a message that "This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in version 8.1 for full compatibility.
CS 5 says my version has no updates. LR 5 says there are no upgrades although I have seen some reference to LR 5.2.
Lightroom :: Photo Worked In CS6 Looks Different In LR4
Apr 30, 2013I have a Mac laptop 0S X 10.8.3. I have been working on the photo in CS6 when I bring it into LR4 it looks much darker. The blacks are blockie. I have a colormunkie calibration software which is out of date. I closed lightroom and went into systems preferences - display - and used the calibration tool to calibrate to gamma 2.2 then reopened LR4 and it looks even darker.

In Lightroom 5.2, where did my original RAW photo go? All my original photos are in the RAW file format.I sent the photo to Portrait Professional using "Edit a copy with LR adjustments," but didn't like the way it looked there and I discarded that.
I may have sent this photo to Photoshop CS6 in the past, I don't recall doing so, but it's possible. If I did, I didn't do much, if any, editing on it. Anyway, now in the LR filmstrip, I have a tif copy and a psd copy. The original RAW seems to be gone. It's not in the Recycle bin.
Lightroom :: Photo Is Missing
Jun 9, 2012I am using lightroom 3.2. I edited some photos for a client and he wanted something turned into black and white. I went b ack into my library to re-edit the photo and it says the folder is not available and the "photo is missing". It is saying the original photo is not able to be found. I exported the edited folders into a folder on my desktop which is a process that I always do. I am confused as to why it is saying this, I have never seen this message before. I cannot access any of my photos.
