Illustrator :: Can't Open EPS Files In CS3 Since Installing CS6
Feb 13, 2013I'm on Windows 7, and need to be able to open .eps files with Illustrator CS3. Since installing CS6 yesterday I'm no longer able to associate EPS files with Illustrator CS3. When I right click an eps and go to "open with", only Illustrator CS6 is listed. When I "choose default program", only Illustrator CS6 is listed. If I "browse" and manually select the Illustrator CS3 executable, it still defaults to CS6. Using the same process with .ai files works fine, there is no issue. However these .eps files are not behaving like .ai files.
Also, attempting to set the default program through the "set associations" control panel doesn't work, after selecting the Illustator CS3 executable it still shows up as CS6.
Illustrator :: Missing Fonts After Installing CC?
Jun 18, 2013Illustrator CS5 and CS6 (and previous versions) came with a set of core fonts, e.g. Myriad Pro, included upon install.
I uninstalled Illustrator CS6 (and all other CS6 products) before installing Illustrator CC, but none of the fonts were included, so in Illustrator I have no MyriadPro (the font appears in the font list, but has an asterisk next to it to indicate a subsitution is being made). Are these fonts no longer included?
Okay - fixed. A restart later and the fonts are there. They must be registered with Windows on restart, which is an odd way of doing it as there's no requirement that the computer be restarted between font installations.
Illustrator :: CS4 Won't Open Any Files Since Installing CS6
Jul 23, 2012Every since I installed CS6, whenever I try to open files in Illustrator (all files, not just the new downsaved from CS6 files), the program goes into "Not Responding" and I can't do anything until I crash out. It also will not let me create new files.
I've tried deleting my Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder as I saw suggested in another discussion, but it did not work.
Since my CS6 trial is ending soon and I'm not sure about upgrading yet, I really need my CS4 to be functional.
I'm running WIndows Vista 64 bit. Never had any problems with Illustrator before this.
Illustrator :: Freehand Import Of CS5 Broken After Installing CS6
Aug 19, 2012on my windows 7 machine my freehand import of Illustrator CS5 and CS4 is broken after installing cs6 creative cloud.
I can still select a freehand file to open and the dialog box appears, but after choosing OK nothing happens. No file opens and no error appears. It doesn´t depend on the freehand file because my other machine with CS3 can still open these files.
What can i do to repair illustrator? - it´s part of a master collection install.

Oct 23, 2013After installing Mavericks, I can no longer link files in illustrator CC as the finder window closes by itself after one second or if I click on anything. It was happening with save as also, but that seems to have rectified itself by reinstalling the program.

Oct 21, 2012I have a student edition of CS5 Extended. I have been running it on a Linux Ubuntu system with virtural box 32 bit only. I happy to announce I now have a new PC with windows 7 with an upgrade to windows 8 that I can purchase. I was wondering since I will now be able to use the 64 bit Photoshop on my new system what is the procedure to get my serial number for my new PC? I do not know where I saved it. I still have the disk nd the boxWhen I install it tomorrow (Monday Oct 22) Also Should I upgrade to CS5.5?

May 22, 2012I have a problem with installing any Adobe CS5 programs on my Mac OS X 10.6.8. I successfully installed a Master Collection CS5 edition that we use in my school. But then I had to reinstall all of them and after installing it says it was successfull but all I find in my "Applications" folder is just folders of the applications and nothing to launch inside. I thought at first that maby this had something to do with cashe so I cleared all cashe and manually looked for more files that maby would have remained on the computer but I could not find any. What can I do to reinstall it successfully?

I am capturing avi file with (h264, 4000 Kbs, ultrafast) and (pcm,1114 kbs). BUT!!! in "project" mode it is playing very slowly! .. and i must to convert it to mp4 file with h264(4000kbs, ultrafast, level 4.1) and aac(192 kbs). This second file is better to playing in "project" mode.
Is there any problems with avi-container in video studio?? or it is my problem?? i saw that proxy files are dont creating in avi(h264,pcm) .
so my 2 question is: Why video studio cant read normally and played it in "project" mode normally? where is problem?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, and more than enough space on the computer, have deleted my existing version of CS2, and It keeps coming up and saying that it was checking system profile (or something like that) and now I have just tried it again and it comes up with several errors, the first one is MAIN_FILE_VERSION. The second one is PRODUCT_REGISTRY_PARENT. And the last one is PRODUCT_REGISTRY_KEY. I am trying to install the student eddition, and have sent in my application into adobe already. I am usually really good with computers, but this is just running into a hole for me, and I really need photoshop as I have a shoot tomorrow and need to edit it.

Oct 20, 2005The company I've just started working for has gotten a copy of CS2 with a 5 user license for the 4 machines. I managed to talk them into letting me use the 5th license at home (I work from home from time to time). Woohoo
However I've been trying to install it on my 1.8Ghz AppleMac G5 with 512Mb AM 120Mb free HD space and running Mac OSX 10.3.9 and It won't.
I run the installer program it asks for my admin password and then calls up a dialog box saying...
"All Adobe applications must be closed before your new software can be installed.
Please close all Adobe applications that are running and then restart the installer."
And makes me quit the installer.
There is NOTHING running.
I have dumped ALL existent Adobe software.
I have created a new User Account and tried from there.
I have safe booted and tried like that.
I have repaired my Disk Permissions
I have created Disk Images of all the disks and tried installing from the desktop.
Still does the same thing.

Apr 1, 2009I own the Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Web Premium and I just purchased the Adobe Production Premium CS4. I just rebuilt the machine with Vista 64 and am about to reinstall all the software. I'm trying to figure out if I can skip Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3 and Version Cue CS3 when I install the CS3 suite and just use the ones that came with CS4 or is this going to cause any issues? (i.e. should I also install the CS3 versions?). I was told to make sure I install the Flash CS3 before the Flash CS4, but what about Photoshop and Illustrator?

For different reasons i would like to keep Photoshop CS5 AND install Photoshop CS6. is it possible to install Photoshop CS6 and also keep Photoshop CS5 along with the CS5 Creative Suite Master Collection?
(My problem is a really a write-error while trying to save for web in Photoshop CS5. I´ve tried all kinds of solutions from the Adobe forum and other places without luck. Last things I did was to make a new admin account and test it. That worked. Also I tried uninstalling Photoshop CS4 (where save for web acctually worked on my real user account). Still no luck. So now im left with the choice of reinstalling CS4 or installing CS6 to get the save for web dialog working again)
