Is it possible to create an interactive animation in Edge, publish it, import it into Indesign, export it as an Interavtive PDF while maintaining the animation and interactivity?
View 1 RepliesI've been trying to create an interactive bar graph. The idea is that if a user clicks on a button, a bar graph will animate up onto the stage. I would like to code it so that if the user clicks on that same button again, the bar graph will animate down off the stage. So far all I've been able to find is that this is possible with mouse over and mouse out; but I'm wondering if it's possible to use clicks instead.

All animation elements of the animate file are responsive with the exception of the motion path animation which is not for some reason. Why does the motion path animation not repsonsive even though it is L, T, W, H coordinates are set as percentages?

I downloaded the interactive marquee which you can download for free from Simon Widjaja hoping that I could fathom out how to do it but I am still lost.

One the resulting interactive pdf, the button functionality works correctly, but the label/type is not showing up at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a 12 page interactive PDF with a set of 12 buttons (set in the master page) at the bottom of page that relates to each page. When clicked the button should you directly to that page.
I have used this method many times before in CS5 using Go to destination in Buttons and setting each page as a destination. It normally works great.
However, in CS6, once I export to interactive PDF and open in Acrobat Pro the buttons all seem to disappear once you click on the 3rd or 4th page button.
I have stripped the indesign doc back to include no other content - just the buttons, with no rollover effects etc but I am still having the same problem
I can supply the relevant indesign doc and exported PDF. One forum member suggested trying to open it in Acrobat Reader instead and it worked fine. This is OK to a point but I really need it opening in Acrobat Pro.
I've just started working with Edge Animate and have been building some animated buttons for a website. My problem is that I can't publish what I've created, the 'publish' button is greyed out and I cant use it. I can access the publish settings without any problems.

(also i can only press on the "save" button doesnt give me the option to publish.. do you have to save it somewhere special? IM TRYING TO CREAT AN OAM FILE FOR ADOBE MUSE... i can save it to my desktop but then it just apears to be html.. what am i doing wrong????

View 3 Replies View Relatedso user error is not unlikely, but I have a small animation with 11 small circles that animate opacity and Y pos. The circles are all symbols and are being controlled (play/stop) from the main timeline. When I preview, half of them do not show up. The symbols that don't appear are consistent from preview to preview. I've looked at the Elements in the browser and they are there, they just aren't animating.
So I thought I would just recreate the "bad" symbols and their animations, but they are still not animating in my preview. When I play the timeline in Edge Animate evrything is fine.
I've tried it in Chrome, Safari and Firefox (all latest releases) with the same result.
Is there a symbol bug in Edge? Is there a method of creating symbols that I should be using (other than draw, cmd-Y and edit symbol timeline)?
My timeline looks just fine, and when I was originally working with the file, the publish went well. Now, the preview/publish are shifting elements causing a mess of a presentation and I cannot figure out why.

uick response as I have to present this work tomorrow. I have been working with the "preview in browser" to view an animation which is a simple matrix of drag and drop. It works perfectly in the preview, but when I publish it either to .oam (bringing it into muse) or directly to html it loses all of its functionality. I am pretty new to this, but I have been using the same methodology for all my other animations and they work fine.

It'd be great if 'compilation' tools like this could be added/removed, either as a software-wide plugin or as a list of processors in the publish settings.
This could be used to do the following sorts of things: Obsfucate codeUse alternative JS minimiserOptimise SVG assets (remove identity transforms, resolve certain 'use' nodes, etc)Compress / Recompress imagery (similar to flash's JPEG publish settings).
I created this website for a client and it can be viewed at Uscantravel.com. However being in the SEO phase of the site, the publish for Static HTML to make the website search friendly turns off the animated pop-ups and links that are layered within symbols with additional animations. It works fine when I save the .html file and upload that, but the published file for static alters the website animations when uploaded.
Can I somehow use the copy and paste the Div tags into the workable .html file to make search friendly, or am I missing something?

4.I would also like to ask if like looping each animations sperately, not looping the whole timeline, can it be possible to loop an animation while you have all the interactivity witht he site like looping seperately all the time, without interfeering with all the other animation
5.I also are wondering if you can create multiple pages on one animate project, like multiple pages with html
I just moved on to edge animate from html, and html was also beirf learn for me and mostly i was doing design work, and i thought getting out of graphic river and moving on the theme forest.
I want also all the five things to work on one aimate project.

As soon as I hit ctrl+enter to preview in my browser, everything just stays blank. I checked in multiple browsers, all have the same result with no errors in console.Autoplay is turned on.
I am a graphic designer and I work on w7 64.I find the latest version of Edge Animate.I saw several tutorials, amongst those showing how to make a loop on an animation. I proceed as explained in the preview on my browser (Chrome), the animation runs, but no loops.In fact, I tried other interactions and other triggers : nothing of these works there!

I have an animation currently that sits in a circular window and plays when the page loads. The screen shot below is from the page in Muse with the .oam file playing. The images are PNGs with transparent backgrounds so the animation plays over the background images.
What I'm trying to add is an iris effect I've animated in Edge Animate. I haven't been able to hide the edges of the vanes in the iris during animation. I've tried to cut and paste code that I've found on this forum and others but I don't know much about coding and I haven't had any success. This screenshot is shortly after the animation starts to play as the vanes rotate out of the window:
Basically, I need to mask the iris animation to keep the images from showing outside the circular frame. I've found that the clipping tool in Edge only does square or rectangular masks. I have a PNG that I can use as a mask but the coding has really got me flummoxed. The mask:
I just made my first edge animate project and made a progress loader animation. Works well.When i placed the code in the site the animation was always on, so i've hidden the item in css

When my animation is needed i'm making is visible however the animation has already been started in the background so wont begin the right place. I'm wondering should i stop the stage autoplay in the config and then start the animation in JS? If so how can i go about starting the animation via JS.

I created an animation for a landingpage on my website(built with wix.com).
My problem is, that wix.com has got no folder-organisation or upload-function and my Edge animation has *.html, *jscript and *.jpeg/*.png files.
In a Wix.com-forum, I've found a response, that said, that I should use external storage-websites for my files.I did so and put these files in my dropbox/public folder, copied the open links in the *.html file like this:
