For some customers I need to insert logos and have to vectorize them. No matter what I do on some bitmaps when I trace them to make them vectors for my cutting equipment they still look awful.
I have a huge bitmap that i traced using Outline Trace > High Quality Image
On zooming in, the curve looks like this with bitmap below the curve-group
As you can see on the right, the original bitmap is below the curve-group.. but when i delete the bitmap (as i no longer need it). it results in these curves with strange whitish borders :
I'm trying to get a clean line drawing from a bitmap. I've attached a cdr with a picture in it. I just want the picture to look free-hand drawn with simple lines. When I traced it, it makes jagged edges and seems to be too detailed no matter how I set the trace properties. I cannot draw free-hand myself at all, or I would just re-draw them.
I am trying to do a bitmap trace of an image. The resulting vector is OK, except that, between every shape of a single color, there is a line, and that line is made a color, either transparent, or a specified color - and thickness.
The preview creates a desired result, but the end product is the problem. When I click on the vector, I can change the color of the lines between the colors in the vector, and in the dockers, I can change the thickness to "none" but a line still exists between the shapes. The previews are just fine, what can I do to make this guy not look like a puzzle? Its as if the shapes in the vector do not touch each other. The previews show no lines between the shapes/colors, except in the final output.
I am currently using this method, creating a 1-bit bitmap from a grayscale "distress" texture bitmap, choosing transparent fill or outline depending on which area i need trasparent and powerclip it in text or other vector object.
Is there a way to achieve the same distress effect with transparency with FILL ? pattern fill maybe? eg can i save in some format this bitmap to use it maybe as a pattern in pattern fill and retain transparency ?
I'm using DPro7 and am having trouble making a bitmap copy of an object, with a 3 colour linear fill, each time I get a serious error message box.It works OK with a 2 colour fill,
I will be using the biezer tool to trace an image that I imported as a bitmap. I want to make this image transparent so I can trace easier. How do I do that?
My CorelDraw X5 is working perfectly. I have received some artwork from the client for business cards and the second page is just not printing. Artwork attached.
When you do a print preview it clearly shows that the artwork will print. I've tried to print it to Adobe PDF but no luck. I then tried to use Enfocus Pitstop and interesting enough it reports on the errors that the second page is blank.
I can print it if I convert the artwork to a bitmap but what is the point of having your text in curves if you need to make it a bitmap? I hope it's as easy as changing a setting/properties of the vector to enable it to print.
I have imported a 2d drawing of a vehicle into coral draw x5 from auto cad. Problem is that when I zoom in all the lines do not seem to be joined especially curves, this in turn makes it a pain when filling with colour. I have recently traced one side manually using line and curve tools but my question is, is there s quicker way of tracing a dxf without manually doing it? And if so how to do it?
i'm wondering how to trace a JPEG imagine and make a copy of the original image 20mm bigger all the way around so i can cut the larger image out and engrave the inner image
I recently upgraded from CorelDRAW 11 to X5 and have started having issues. I print primarily text and vector images on a UNIVERSAL engraving laser.
Since I upgraded there have been several times that vector images will add random vectors stretching halfway across the piece I'm engraving, completely ruining it. The vectors are completely random in their placement and occurance. I've printed to the engraver 3 times in a row with identical settings and had it do the additional random vector 2 different ways then the third time print out completely fine.
Am trying to make a fire effect in Corel x6 using vectors ...i can draw them ok but the need to be smoothed/blended together to look good ..i have tried using the blend tool & it's ok ...& the new smear tool doesn't blend as such ..the smudge tool appears almost pointless ..so.is there a way to blend the colours together?
When I export a file that has powerclipped vectors (as well as non-clipped vectors) as a tif file, they print a different color.Especially black, the non-clipped black prints a nice rich black, the power-clipped vector
that is the same black, prints muddy?? I have to extract all the contents to get them consistent.
I'm thinking it has to do with the way corel handles powerclipped objects.Printing on a versacamm, using versaworks. Exporting as tif, RGB.
when i trace pictures in BW i often encounter a problem to extract so many small pieces in graphic in the same color.i wonder, if there is some hotkey ( by click :-) to combine together all vectors with the same color, and leaves the rest.
Im importing large plots from autocad in .pdf format into corel to annotate and overlay a few images , these drawings have literally thousands of lines are really slowing the computer down a lot making it impossible to do anything, is there a way to optimize these so they run any faster? i really dont want to have to flatten them into raster images as it defeats the point of it!
I am experiencing problems printing vectors from corel draw X5 on windows 7 to an HP deskjet 9300.
I previously had no problems with coreldraw 12 on XP to the same printer. I"m a screen printer and need to color seperate regularly and at the moment get round the problem by converting to bitmap, which prints fine.
The moment I try to print in vector, the page is ejected unprinted. If I print a bitmap and vector side by side on the same page, the bitmap prints fine but the vector does not print at all.
Have an issue when importing pdf files into both X5 and X6. Fonts have been converted to outline and without Ghost script installed overlapping vectors fill in with white! With Ghost script installed center of fonts like e,b,p etc fill in with font color. Convert to eps prior to importing still has the issue? Also had some objects reposition on import but fixed if converted to eps? Processing a lot of client files for output to image so this is a real problem.
One of our tech writers has a handful of screenshots (mostly JPEGs and TIFFs) that he wants to use in a manual. However, the customer requires that the graphics provided to them be in .cgm format.
Despite all of my attempts (using CorelDraw X5) to import the bitmaps and then save as or export to .cgm, the customer says the files are "blank" and unusable. When I try and open the .cgm files I created using a web-based file viewer, the graphics show up as completely black. I have opened known good .cgm files with this same viewer, and the graphics show up as expected.
I have tried all of the different options avaialble to me (to the best of my knowledge; to call me a novice with Corel would be an understatement), with no success. Am I missing something? Or is there some other way I should try and accomplish this?
I might be missing something when searching for macros that allow you to do this but I thought I'd give this a shot.
Is there a way to copy a graphic from Photoshop using Cntrl+C and then use Cntrl+V to paste it into CorelDraw as an actual Bitmap and not a Photoshop object that I will have to then use the Convert to Bitmap?
Is there a way to set the "convert to bitmap" defaults? Specifically, in X5 I find it defaults to "transparent background" checked and I'd like it to default to no transparent background by default.
I am creating a backdrop in CorelDraw XV from a 9" 600 mb tiff. I need to have a finished product at 240" wide, 60" tall, so it can be blown up to 40'X10'. The largest that it seems I can go is 50" wide.
I have a bunch of objects on a CorelDraw page that together make up a button for a web page. I select all the objects: the toolbar tells me that the selection is 281px x 59px.
I press Export, selected only, the preview comes up. My button suddenly is 283px x 61px. Looking closely I can see a faint border around the actual button image.
What setting do I have to change to make it export what I tell him and not what he thinks?
