I have a square of a bown color. I would like the same brown but mixed with white (I just want it more pale, 50% more) how can I do that? CorelDraw X5 v. 15.2.0.686 Hot Fix 4 - Windows 7-64
View 10 RepliesI have plain old Photoshop CS and recently when I opened it to use it all my white went tan/brown almost like a light sepia toning. I've tried changing the color preferences to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions how to get white to be white again?

I am trying to do some very basic stuff. I have a brown background and I want white letters on top of it. I have tried setting the Primary color to white and the Secondary color to brown, vice versa, and also setting both Primary and Secondary to white. No matter what I do, my letters don't show up, presumably because they are brown.
How do I get white text to actually show up on a brown background?
I reformatted my computer and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 service pack 1 and installed Photoshop CS6 and when I print my work the color gray prints as brown and the yellow green has a shade of brown in it as well so its darker. I did calibrate my monitor, I use sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as ICC profile and RGB in working spaces, and US Web Coated v2 as CMYK. I changed the mode to CMYK 16 bit and proof setup to Working CMYK. In printer setting I set the color handling to Photoshop manages colors and set it to hardproofing. I did match it with the color management in display settings.
I think my Epson T1100 printers are fine because they both print the same color gray as brown so it must be in Photoshop where the problem is.
This is frustrating..Before I reformatted I was using Photoshop CS5 and my prints are fine but when I reformatted and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 and Photoshop CS6 the printing problems starts, I reinstalled Photoshop CS5 but the print outs still has problems, color gray prints as brown..By the way, I print on white bond papers and white box boards, so color blending is not the case I'm sure..
I need to change some lines that are in a layer from a black/gray to brown. So I tried to change it by right clicking (PS 7.0) and blending options then tried a bunch of stuff and nothing seems to work: color overlay, blend mode, blend if... but I can't get the color.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone tell me how to do this? The color I need is somewhere between #734002 and #B16203.
I'm using Ai CS6 64bit now on windows 8, and I have a problem with the black and grey colors, because they look like brown variations...In the past I hadn't similar problems, but recently I changed my notebook to an Asus KB56, from Acer.
I attached the 1st picture to show exactly what is the problem, the colors should to be all black, but they are brown...The second picture shows them in paint, which works perfect...
Im having a really bad day working on CC Illustrator, i copied a .ai file and a .eps file from my old computer to continue working on a logo. And everythings works well, without the colors.
I want it BLACK, 000000, but the Illustrator turns it into differnt blacks and brown! Never seen this before.
When I copy my work back on the old computer and open it on CS3 it shows that it is black, but when i copy it on my CC Photoshop it shows up brown?
I tired making a new file, copying things over, making a new project writing randoms things but its all brown, and i tired to change both CMYK and RBG, and ofcourse the color! It worked fine if I wanted blue or red, but not BLACK.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am new to the forum and new to CorelDRAW X5. I use CorelDRAW to laser engrave text and logos through an engraving machine. Most basic logos are easy to convert right through CorelDRAW, but today I ran into a serious issue.
I received a logo that was very detailed in color and also had numerous different shadows in it. When automatically switching to black and white, the colors get very warped and the shadows take over the entire logo.
How do you go about switching a logo like this to black and white?
I created a card with a colored panel and a white background. I then typed my name along the junction of the panel and background and as I typed the top half of the letters were the panel color and the bottom half of the letters was white.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI made a logo using elements. I have tried numerous ways to make it transparent but when I put it on my pictures there is a white square box that appears with it. I want my whole logo to be transparent. I have saved it png, png 24. And still nothing works. How to get this box to disappear. Just to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong I took a photo and made the background transparent and took the selection that was not and put it into a different photo and the white square edge was still around it.

know of a macro available that will search a document for any form of white fill (rgb, cmy,cmyk,greyscale, etc) and if it finds any of those colors, it will automatically change those white fills to a Pantone White Spot Color?

And that there are no color shifts. I had version 6 at work and its fine, when I converted from RGB to CMYK the colors just got a little washed out but the whites remained white.
Is there a way to change an object's fill from a gradient to a solid color that is the average of that gradient? What I want to do is have a grid of squares, select them all and apply a colorful gradient to them as a whole, and then average each square's color so I end up with a pixelated look. Kind of like the mosaic filter in Photoshop, but in vector.

I've tried combinations of settings all over the map, but nothing gets even close. The jagged edge just won't go away.
I need to split a square in half - so I have 2 triangles but so they are still aligned as a square.

I am creating a stylized Polaroid photo and want the end result to look like it is lifting off the paper by creating a shadow under it. I cannot seem to find a way to do this with the transparency tool. Look at my photo, I want the shadow to fade outwards from the edge of the photo on all 3 sides.
I used the free select tool to free select an area of an image that is not a square (odd shape), how do I make that selection a perfect square if pasted to new image or new layer??? rectangular would be fine too...

I am very new to photography and Lightroom 3.4 64 bit. I have a photo of an apple on the table. I want to get the photo black and white (did that already). Now I want the apple it self to remain its own red color. How do I do that?
Also, I have this apple and its reflection is on the knife that is cutting the apple. How can I get that in color too?
I recently had to buy a new computer and re-install CorelDraw X5. I've been using the software for about 3 years now to run a laser engraver, so I'm not new to dealing with vectors. For some reason though when I draw something like a square, click "convert to curves", then right click the segment I was to delete, the delete option is grayed out and the only thing I can do is add a node. I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong or if it's a setting somewhere they didn't get checked off when I installed the software.
