I have a company create subtitles for my company and they use swift/softel program. They send me the XML + all associated PNG files. We've been using Final Cut for years, but are trying to switch to AP. In FCP it generates a sequence that matches the timecode they exported.
I'm on a Mac OS X 10.7.5 using Adobe Premiere CC.
What I wish to do is to assign a set of points a sequence of point numbers (or custom properties) of my choosing. For example, I have the following points:
100
102
104
105
107
I wish to assign point 100 -> 1000, 105 to 1001, 107 to 1002, 104 -> 1003, and 102 ->1004. Basically, I am looking for a command or utility that implements the "TCOUNT" (using select-order) command, but for Cogo points instead of text. The renumber points command appears to only work with offsets, and does not eliminate gaps. I can sequence the points if I select the points I want, then copy them -> set duplicate points to sequence from the range I choose, but this does not allow for reordering of point numbers. I tried individually selecting them in the order I wanted, but didn't change the order in which they were numbered.
Alternatively, I can leave the point numbers the same, and assign a user defined property that I can use to sequence the points in the order of my choosing. However, I'm not sure how to go about assigning the sequence I wish short of typing in each value individually; obviously non-ideal.
A third possibility that presented itself to me was to create new, correctly sequenced points that overlap exactly with the old ones, and then somehow merge the two sets together. Would there be a way to merge the old points and the new ones based on the fact that the two points have the same X-Y coordinates? Preferably done in CAD itself; the last resort would be to export both sets of points out to excel, then do some fancy manipulation in excel, then reimport into CAD.
I have installed the new Reflow generate plugin and it is in the plugin folder, but i can´t find generate in the file menu.
View 23 Replies View RelatedI have an opportunity to make a good impression at a new job, but ive never had the initiative to learn how to write a lisp routine. at my work we make walk-in coolers and freezers. these coolers are modular with a standard wall piece measuring a certain length. these wall sections have to be numbered sequentially. is there any way to automate this? sometimes we get change order from the client and it means going back and manually changing multiple texts (sometimes in the hundreds), but i thought if there was a way these wall sections could be scheduled somehow that when a new wall panel is inserted in the beginning of the sequence it would update everything after it automatically.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm playing around with the new generate plugin and running into an issue. I have a pre-existing set of icons that need to maintain a 70x70 transparent background. Unfortunately when I set up Generate the assets are cropped to the pixel dimension of the graphic.
Is there a work around? Or do I need to go through each asset and resize it to 70x70?
Possible to generate a sine wave via the paths tool? It's kinda hard to get a perfectly symmetrical one by hand.

all the iparts when new member is added in order to manintain the parent child version relationship
Example : say i have a ipart 41020.ipt and i have members 41020- 001 ~ 008 . I check out the parent
from Vault and add 009 member to it.
Question :
Do I have to generate all and check those in to maintain the version relationship between the child and parent inside
Vault 2013 ?

In the layout mode, I can't seem to get the image size to be set at 100%. If I manually set the image size to 100% and click on apply, this drops back to 38%. 38% is the highest it seems accept.
Is this a limitation with CorelDraw? Is there a way around this?

I'm sure I am missing something simple. In the paragraph formatting dialog box there is a vertical text option that is greyed out (not axctive) so it looks like the verical text is intiated using another method.

I open the assembly and check everything out from vault I open my bom and change item numbers. When I get back to my drawing and apply for auto balloon I get completely different item numbers in my balloons. We just updated our software to a new 2012 version so it's maybe something with set up.

I want to make a series of numbers around the edge of a medallion. I first make a temporary circle (the size of medallion) then curve my numbers to "fit to path". Then I delete the circle. But when I want to edit (make new numbers) they don't fit to the curve anymore. Is there a better way to do this?
