I created Dynamic Block visible with blocks. But I don't know how dimension with Dynamic Block first rowahead (Dimension style). I very try but don't success. create dimension with Dynamic block visible. Purpose, I drawing as I sent to you. I can select from list Dynamic block visible instead go to change dimension style on the Styles bar (Dim style control).

new to dynamic blocks but looking to streamline my wiring diagrams here and have created a block that shows the typical wire styles we use in a simple easy way. I now want to add an overall flip to the entire block and have not been able to find set this. I would prefer to use the same label and go from there. I have included the block to show what I mean. It is only working on the single visible item at the one time. I know this has to be possible just let me know what I am doing wrong. I am running AutoCad LT 2013

I have a basic drawing with dimensions A, B, C, D, E & F. Can these dimensions be tabulated in such a way that they can be altered within the table so that the drawing redefines itself in line with the new dimensions?
Sample attached - dimensions could be anything, to 2 dec places!
I produce windows and doors. and I reproduce the same drawing in the attachment a lot.
Is there a way to make it a dynamic block where I change the three dimensions in the drawing and the whole thing grows or shrinks symmetrically and proportionally?
I need to create a dynamic block for a "Glass Panel" in a balustrade. I need to be able to insert it, in one corner and stretch it in another corner, to suit the staircase angle.
I've created the block, but it isn't working correctly. I've attached a drawing, with the left hand drawing a sketch of how it needs to be. The right hand drawing is my dynamic block attempt. As can be seen, when the block is stretched between the 2 points, it doesn't follow the angle of the staircase correctly (Very slight run off)

I am looking to create a dynamic block that changes in scale, ex. If I have two (2) viewports in paper space, one 1/4"=1'-0" the other 1/8"=1'-0" I want my blocks to appear to be the same size in paper space.
Also, I would like my blocks to change attributes/features ex. If I have a "light switch block" I would like to have the option of switching the block from a 3-way switch, 4-way switch etc.

The hole length and the "cross" point will be variable, between the two sticks will be 90 deg, and it will be FIX.
I would like if I change the "variable 2" distance the two sticks follow the cross point, and the top of the sticks stay in the same level, but between the sticks the 90 deg stay!
How to set up a dynamic block so I can control the size of an object through parametric dimensions that are linked (somehow) to a lookup table, spreadsheet, list, etc.?
What I'm trying to do (simplified) is place a block of a rectangle, select a size from a dropdown list, and have the block change to be that size - but I don't want to do this through visibility states as there are hundreds of sizes. The whole point is to be able to construct a list, lookup table, excel sheet, etc and link it to parametric dimensions in the block, or at least be able to link a stretch action to parametric dimensions. But the block editor will not allow me to associate a stretch action with a parametric dimension (at least I haven't figured out how to do this.)
I just only started trying to create Dynamic Blocks.
Here's what I have trouble with, I want to make the 2 "rectangles" in the fridge drawing stretch accordingly when I move the arrows for the compressor (the X).
But I want them to scale together and move so that they are still within the fridge part.
I tried a lot of Scales and Moves but I keep getting weird results.
I have the Dynamic Block here along with 3 examples of the fridges, what I'm trying to do.

Is there a way to create a library of walls using dynamic blocks (similar to the walls in the full version of autocadd)? I've payed around a bit trying to create a dynamic block and I'm not having much luck.

The last time I did this I drew a circle, put text inside, and attached a leader. Every time I wanted to label another instance of a material I had to copy all three things which was too repetitive. I think there is a way to create a dynamic block where all of these things are one block that can be selected and moved with one click but the leader is still adjustable.

I've made annotative blocks and I've made dynamic blocks... My intent is to integrate both but I can't find a way to move dynamic block parameters separately at different annotative scales.
In other words, if I insert an annotative dimension and add multiple scales I can move the dimension grips independently at each scale. If I insert a dynamic block I want to be able to use the dynamic block's action "grips" to do the same. However, with a dynamic block, if I move a stretch action at one annotation scale it moves the action at all annotation scales.

I've been trying to create a stair block that will automatically adjust the riser height to to suit the total vertical rise of the flight, but am having issues.
I drew two 'tread/riser' Plines, and constrained the daylights out of them. By stretching the grip for the 'Total Rise' constraint, the risers adjust nicely, while the treads remain at their desired 11" depth.
My problem is that when I try to create an array of the tread/riser, (using a linear parameter aligned with the slope of the stair) I can't get the 'column' width to change as the risers change height. Instead the value remains constant, and the arrayed copies don't connect with each other.
Any way either to fix this so that that the copies connect 'head-to-tail'?
I try to create dynamic block of Tectus hinges. Bassicaly I would like create multiple visibility block:
first grip - type of hinge (TE240, TE 340....)
second grib - type of view: elevation, side and plan.
For plan view I would like create third grip with options: close, open 90 deg, open 180 deg.
In attached file I'm started working on this. For now I focus on first two type of hinges TS240 and TS340. I'm close to realize my gola but still something doesn't work correct. If you play with grips sometimes block disappear on show as custom view.
I believe there is a way to create a block of displayed objects that are shown within viewport. I know I have done this before with basic Autocad. The closest thing at the moment that I can think of is "SOLPROF" but that only works for 3D objects.
The way I remember the command working was you started off with the command, select the objects with the viewport/or maybe it was just the viewport, the command made an instantaneous block of the objects that were only within the display area.
I'm trying to create a dynamic block that stretches between a minimum and maximum height. The block I'm trying to create is an "Acrow Prop" which has a height that ranges between 1050-1830mm. Is there any way to set a function that will stop stretching out side of these figures?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have created a dynamic block with several visiblility states. The block works great for what I need it for. however, I am trying to add one more action to the block but am having issues.
This block is essentially a 24" retail cabinet with the visibility states showing the different drawer and shelf configurations. I want to be able to lengthen the cabinet in 24" increments and have the visibility show for each 24" section.....e.g. I want a 10' cabinet so I bring in the 24" starter block. Then stretch the cabinet to the 10' mark, then I can chose any drawer/shelve config for each 24" section (they are all different).
I can get the block to stretch in 24" sections....no problem.....i just want the visibility state to be duplicated as well for each section. Now as it stretches, there is only one Vis state and it only populates the first cabinet.
I could do this by copying the block over and over 5 times.....but I am hoping there is a way to make this dynamic.
I have a block I am making into a Dynamic Block. I will be adding in different visibility states. Depending on the visibility state the block would need to be inserted from a different point.
My question is, is it possible to add multiple insertion points to a dynamic block so depending on the visibility state it defaults to the correct insertion point?

I am currently creating a series of dynamic blocks in order to create tabletop conveyors fro plat layout. I am using AutoCAD 2009 and am currently having issues making the turning sections. I know this is very simple using AutoCAD 2010 as there are geometric constrains available.
The curved sections must be able to have the inside thickness adaptable, the wall thickness must remain 1/2" thick, and the corner sections must have a 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree radii on them (although allowing any angle would be ideal). I was going to use visibility states to achieve the different angles as this seemed the easiest way to do this.
Attached is the basic 90 degree corner with an inside width of 4.5" with leaders labeling the areas that must be adaptive.

the blocks i create are only stretchable by grips, and not by crossing
(i am using linear or point parameter stretches)
Is there anyway to link standard AutoCAD Grips and there commands to Dynamic Block Actions? I want to stretch an arc by its midpoint grip. This accomplishes something that no other commands do.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I've done a reasonable amount of work with dynamic blocks. I have a block with a rotation action and grip to arbitrarily align it. However I realized when trying to combine it with an alignment grip (which actions on the basic or fundamental block rotation angle) that there didn't seem to be a way to some how link a dynamic block rotation action or one of the custom angle properties to a the fundamental block rotation angle. Thus there are two additive rotations at work; the dynamic block one with its grip and the fundamental rotation property.
This can cause some confusion when one person aligns with the grip and another via rotating the block's fundamental property and would also be problematic in the generalized sense if one was trying to select or programmatically read back the net angle alignment.
I have a dynamic block, that represents a stirrup.
I inserted in the block a Block Propreties Table, that have some preset dimensions for the stirrups. The grip of this table I decided to put in the top right corner.
The problem is that I can't make this grip moveable )
