Jun 7, 2012I just received a SLDPRT file. How to convert a SLDPRT file to a .dwg file?
I don't have access to SolidWorks. I just have CAD2012!

Oct 31, 2013I need to import .SLDPRT files but when I run the import command the only formats for importing appeat to be DGN. I can select my .SLDPRT file, but then a message appears indicating that only v7 and v8 .DGN files are supported.

Nov 15, 2013I have different SLDPRT files I would like to import into AutoCAD Mechanical 2014 (it's a student version).
My colleague is able to import those files, in my case it always fails even though we are having the same files and the same version.
He has Windows 7, I have Windows 8.1.

Jun 29, 2012I am trying to convert a .dwg file to .dgn. I received a seed file from the client and was successful in converting 5 of the 6 pages with no problems. The last page goes through the motions of a successful export but then when it's viewed by the DGNviewer - there's nothing. I've also tried opening the file in Autocad and there are no entities in the file. I run AutocadLT 2012 and trying to convert to V8 .dgn.

The problem is the appearance of the shx file is awful, very faceted.I have to reproduce the drawing to look professional, unfortunately thesupplied shx file is not going to cut it on this front. I was going to send autocad drawing to our client.
I found that converting IDW to DXF/DWG doesn't always get 1:1 scale on the DXF/DWG drawing.
In other words, some drawings are fine and the others are not.
It was set correctly in "Options..." by selecting "Base View Scale - Model Space".
There is nothing wrong with IDW files and all these files are using same template.

Apr 7, 2013I was able to convert the pdf to a dwg but the units are off. I know that some things need to be redone, but I was wondering if this drawing can be made accurate. For example, the top line is supposed to be 30.500 m but in the converted file it only comes out to .11 m
