I found this routine [URL]...... that changes the width of an attribute in a block. After use it, I need to use the ATTSYNC to update the other instances of the bloc in my project.
How to modify this lisp that I receive a prompt to choose if the width attribute will be change just in the selected block or in all instances of the block? In that way, I would not have to use the ATTSYNC command each time.
Any lisp routine for changing the text width of all the attributes in a block globally. I want to change it from 1.0 to 0.8. I have attached a symbol where the attritube tags will be the same.

I am trying to use this but it is not working. It gets hung up on me wanting to manually select the polylines when i thought i grabbed them with the first line.

I have a bolt program that draws the thickness of a bolts in elevation as a polyline with a global width, what i need is a lisp to then change this lwpolyline to a hatch, ie if global width is 20 and the polyline is 30 long i need to change this to a 20x30 solid hatch, is it possible to get the the global width and length and convert this to a boundary hatch? I need the same thing done for bolts in plan too as the circle is a lwpolyline also.

how to change the font of a specific attribute in all my blocks in a drawing. I am trying to change the INST attribute font to Arial but I have thousands of them through out my project. My other attributes that I do not want to change are using the same Style as this block so I can not simply change the style.

Background: Someone exploded an attribute block and copied it hundreds of times throughout a project, each time changing the Attribute Tag to match the Value they expected to appear in their drawing. The drawing must be xrefed, so the attribute definitions do not appear.
(There is only 1 attribute in the block.)

I have an attribute blocks and this att block has two tag values , is there a simple code for to change 1st tag values automaticly according to 2nd values ?
for example :

if i enter 201 valuse to 2nd tag then 1 st tag has to change as 100x100

I've had a simple lisp I've been using for years that suddenly disappeared. It required that you identify a block name, tag name, and the value that you want the tag to be. All of this is performed via command line, so it is scriptable. Since I lost it, I've been experimenting with -attedit. This command comes frustratingly close to what I'm looking for, except it only appends an existing tag, or replaces a specific string within the tag; I can't get it to replace the entire tag, regardless of its value.

I've been searching on and off all morning for a lisp routine, without any luck. I'm trying to draw a pline with a pre determined width (5") and be able to draw unlimited line segments then automatically fillet with a pre determined radius (5").
I wrote this generic macro: ^C^CPLINEWID;5;PL;\\;FILLET;R;5;F;P;LAST; to save SOME time but I want unlimited line segments. Can this be modified or would a lisp be the better route to go?
Say I have a block that contains two attributes, one contains a value that is a number and another contains a value that is letters. I have many of these blocks placed in a drawing, could you create a lisp that would return the sum of the number value and return it to the command line along with the letter value. I run into some issues where i need to change an attribute based on where a block is located on a drawing. I started this routine to select the block, and then select the text that I want to change the block attribute to. It seems like everything is working up until this point. I am trying to customize AutoCAd for a special domain where attribute values need to have a type. I can have a clean integrated solution by manipulating the acad.dcl or base.dcl .I am using AutoCAD 2012 . I want to extend the " define attribute" and "edit attribute" dialog boxes to promt the user for a value type when they define an attribute .I can't find the definition for these dialog boxes in acad/ base dcl files. Ideally I want to add another tile definition to these dialog boxes .If that is not possible atleast spawn a different dialog box from the "define attribute " dialog box that will collect the value type from the user.

The title block, block name is static. The attribute name is static.
My ultimate goal is to copy the value of one attribute and "paste" that into the value of another attribute, and itterate this through the entire project.
