I have created a new colum in family table editor for a custom part in content center. After that i created an assembly using the same custom part from contentr center. Then i prepared the drawing for that i mean *.idw. In the drawing file i have to attach a part list. and i need to add the the new colum generated in family table to part list.Do we have any option available to add the specified column in part list ?

I am creating an iAssembly with iParts. Some of the iParts have the "Table Replace" colum option and some do not. Both iParts have tables with members and part numbers. See pic.

After editing a value in the Family Table in the Content Center Editor I still get the old value. I tried to refresh this Content Center part (as administrator) but without succes.
In the logfile the error message is: "Failed: Unable to create part file. Unknown error."
Earlier (probably with older version of Inventor) I was able to refresh.
Is this a bug, or has this something to do with false settings

I insert Content Center part, for example I have a hexagon bolt. For example I chose the hole diameter but did not take the surface. In this case Inventor pop up the table with possible list of fit bolts.
The question is: How to alter this table by choosing the columns of this table?
For some items it is too big, I wish I can choose only required columns for custom items.
[URL] .....
Columns in this table do not fit for Key, Expression, Property, iProperties filters of Content Center Family Table.

I just created some new content center libraries for different grade bolts. I set up the part number and file number to read how I would like. When I add a bolt from my library the part name is not what I would like. It seems to be the Family Name followed by the Size Designation. Is there anyway I can get this to be the File Name that I modified in the Family Table?

When I place a part, such as a bolt, from the Content Center, it's immediately looking for the other half of an insert iMate. How do I make a part I created do that? I put an iMate in the part, but it had no effect.
It sure would save a bunch of time if this would work.

I have a part published in my content center that was not authored with Tube & Pipe connections. I was wondering if there was a way to edit that part and re-publish it, or would I have to delete it from my Content Center.

I needed to make changes to an existing part that I had published into the CC a few days ago.
what I did was make the changes to the part that is on my local. Then selected the part in CC and RC'd on it and selected "Delete Family". I thought it was gone, but when I go to reinsert it into an assembly, I get this message.
This tells me it is located somewhere else in the CC under a different family. How do I find this other family and then remove it so I can get the updated version in the CC.

The new release has me baffled. Some of the b16.9 fittings are the wrong color. Is there a way to change them back to the old color?
The reducer and straight tee are oddly still the correct color, but the others are a lighter shade of gray.
When I click on a light gray fitting, the material and appearance say "Steel, Wrought; Steel". When I select the old darker color, it says "Wrought Steel; Metal-Steel."
I'd like to change this at the CC level instead of manually changing them in every assembly and design representation.

I mostly use SAE and ANSI screws, bolts, pins and etc in my assemblies. It is tiresome to wade through the DIN, ISO, JAL and other components when looking for a particular inch bolt. Is there a way to unload the excess library listings?

I have a part that was made from content center and modified further. I would like Inventor to no longer recognize this part as a content center part. It has been renamed and migrated to 2013 format, but still when inserting into an assembly the assembly recognizes it as a content center part in the browser.
Also, the browser title for the part will not update with the file name.

A coworker of mine has made a bunch of custom extrusions, turned them into iParts, and published them to the Content Center. The parts are driven in length by the key parameter "Length". Unfortunately, he forgot to mark that "Length" parameter as export in the parameter dialogue before publishing. Is there ANY way to get that "Length" parameter to be exported so the Parts List can pull the cut length?

I've been tasked to turn our 2D cad dwgs to 3D in inventor.
I'm working on a frame at the moment, I got all the square and rectangular tube from the CC and constrained them to match the CAD dwg, now I need to add the mounting holes but if I add holes to one copy all the copies get the holes.
What option can I use to make each instance stand alone?

I am looking for a way to recognize a custom content Center part inside Inventor. The way I see it, I would like to fill a custom property with a value so I can set a seperate category inside Vault Pro for a custom Content Center part.
What I found is the following:
CustomContentCenter variabele: ContentCenter{844FDDD7-2E90-4E4C-8868-134CEAEDC078}
IsCustomPart 1
Is there any way that I can get this information inside an Custom Property?

When I RMB on the iPart in Content Center and click "Replace Family Template", I get the "Import Part Invalid" message.Should I be able to do what I'm trying to do?

I've run into an issue with the Content Center customization. I easily understand how to manipulate the table to create parts with our part numbers, different material spec, & other predetermined aspects of the included templates that were included with the Inventor 2012 update. The issue I'm running into is that we would like to add or modify the original part the table is referring to.
In my example pics there is a bushing that I would like to control the hex nut size on. In the model it was created with a tangent constraint within the sketch instead of a linear dimension from the two flat surfaces. I would like to change that, but keep getting error messages stating:

For some reason when I start either the bolted connection generator or the shaft generator, the content center parts don't show up if I select "modify" to change the parts. For example: I wanted to create an axle with a retaining-ring-groove. I created the axle, and under Features I selected Retaining Ring.
Then a dialog shows up with some standard dimensions, and on the right under "Position" it says "ASME B 27.7M". When I click here, an empty dialogbox shows with filter "All" activated.
It should show all retaining rings available in the content center. The strange thing however is that when I exit this function and start the ordinary "Place from Content Center" command, I can see all retaining rings that are available (see pictures).
The same thing occurs when using the bolted connection generator.

A coworker brought this to my attention and I was also immediately able to reproduce this. We use content center C channels and other common beams a lot. After inserting one into an assembly if you right click and select change size and edit the length it typically doesn't update to the correct length.
Example:
Insert a 10" Ansi MC/C channel any size
right click and select change size
add +.0625 to the existing length and hit apply
measure it at 10.06252 in
repeat change size and type in 10.0625
measure it at 10.0625
repeat change size and type in 10 + .0625
and measure at 10.06252 in
It seems to mess up more when you do math but it also screws up entering a simple number
10.000325 usually ends up as 10.000315 in for me.
Editing the part directly from it's parameter dialog doesn't yield anything like this.

Is there any way to insert a generic table into an assembly file. I don't want to create an iAssembly or use the data to configure the component in any way. I would just like to be able to maintain some design related information within the assembly file, similar to the tables that you can create in an idw. A table just like the iAssembly table would be fine, minus the iAssembly part or any sense of configuration.

When using Inventor with Vault, we have a problem when categorizing custom content center parts in Vault. In short, custom content center parts are incorrectly categorized as "Content Center" and automatically released - as there is no property that we can use to identify these files.
I need iLogic code to trigger when custom content center files are created/saved, wich adds the following custom iproperty "IsCustomContentCenter=True".

I am trying to come up with an automatic method to add a new row to my i assembly table and populate that row based on values entered by the user (assuming that combination of values doesn't already exist... ). Basically, I wish to build my i assembly table on demand over long term by user input via a form that calls an ilogic rule.

I have created two iParts, both with corresponding tables which I then put into an iAssembly so I can change the size of a pad eye and two cheek plates depending upon the desired Working Load Limit. I have a very basic form right now with a drop down menu to chose the different Safe Working Loads but whichever one I choose, is not changing the table configuration to the desired size. Clearly my iLogic code is not working the way I would like. See below and also see attached screen shots so you know what I am working with.
If Parameter("SWL") = "4.75Te" Then
iPart.ChangeRow("PADEYE iPART - IMPERIAL:1", "WLL = 4.75Te")
iPart.ChangeRow("CHEEK PLATE iPART:1", "WLL = 4.75Te")
iPart.ChangeRow("CHEEK PLATE iPART:2", "WLL = 4.75Te")
ElseIf Parameter("SWL") = "6.5Te" Then
iPart.ChangeRow("PADEYE iPART - IMPERIAL:1", "WLL = 6.5Te")
[code]........
This code was actually overwriting the table properties (in excel), so I know this is wrong, I just couldn't find any snippet for changing a table configuration .
