3ds Max :: Creating A Clickable Map For World Countries?
Jun 12, 2012
I am creating a game and I need to insert a map of the countries of the world in it , I am trying to model a map in 3ds max but I can't find a tutorial to show me how. how to model a map.
I have made a horizontal navbar in Photoshop following a tutorial from tutvid. I now need to make that navbar's 5 icons clickable but obviously they are all in one image. Which program would I use to do this and how would I do it.
Can anyone point me to a tutorial that shows how to turn a static image of a navbar into clickable links?
I've just created a map with various county boundaries. I now need to fill in the counties with various shades of gray, with no two neighboring counties sharing the same shade. I've been going about it in a sort of trial and error fashion, but I can't ever seem to get it right. Is there a way that Photoshop could possibly fill it in for me? Sort of an auto-swatch application thing?
I downloaded CC and then install PS via the CC app. How do I open Photoshop CC. It is not click able in the CC app, and it is nowhere on my hard drive.
When scrolling through my images to add tags, there does not seem to be a built in scrollbar that I can click either up or down to scroll with. Instead, I use my mouse and sometimes it gets out of conrol and starts scrolling through a lot more images that I would like. I am using the latest LR on a Mac. Is there someway to get a clickable scrollbar?
I have created a project in PSE 11- it's meant to be a booklet, and I would like to add clickable links to the project, by way of live links, as well as making parts of the project clickable. The goal is to make it a Tumblr post, and save the multiple pages as an Adobe Acrobat pdf file.
My weak Google-fu tells me that I need to use the slicing tool, but I don't think that is available in Elements?
I have Creative cloud, Photoshop cs6 extended. I am trying to use 3D but no option is clickable and how to go around with this problem...? Isnt it suppose to be working??
See the image below, in particular I have a seperate layer READ MORE, I want to save this image as a PNG file and in my HTML page make the READ MORE region like a clickable button. I know I can slice this into a seperate image and wrap in a <DIV tag to do this.

I have a small part time business doing all kinds of image editing. I get most of my work on a particular site that facilitates the meeting of clients and freelancers
I just recently was awarded a job and accepted the job. Right AFTER that, there was from the client an "Oh yeah, there's just one more thing I need done", (happens ALL THE TIME).
The job was to edit an ultrasound of a fetus and incorporate the image into an invitation to a baby shower. OK, no problem, right?
The "Oh yeah, I've got one more thing", was that she wanted me to put two places where the mother was registered for gifts and she wanted both of these places to be an active, clickable hyperlink.
I've done a small amount of research and read a few ideas about "slicing" but all the tutorials appear to be speaking about doing this to an image on a website, which isn't what I need. I need to create a freestanding image, one that could be attached and or inserted into an email to someone and one that you would be able to click on the text of an URL and it would be an active hypelink that would take you to the store's website.
1. Is this even a possibility?
2. If so, is it something that can be done ONLY with CS5 or would I need other software to accommplish this?
remember, this is NOT to be part of a website, it needs to be a freestanding image that can be emailed and that has an active, working, hyperlink as part of the image.
I am seeking to simplify some of our drawings and want to make some forms or tables that has a click check or radio button. Is this possible in any way using Autocad and/or using the Visual Basic and Visual LISP add ons?
If it is possible what I seek is something similar to what is shown in the attached picture. Ideally I would be able to group the boxes together and set up something so it will only allow one of them to be checked, same thing for Mixed Occupancy, Construction Types, etc. If that is not possible via any means at a minimum I would like to be able to just click on the box to check or uncheck it.
If there is some way to make it as a block with attributes I can handle that as well.
I have made a click able image in CS6 but when I save it to my computer as a GIF, I'm not able to click on it. I'm saving the file as an "Image" and not using "HTML and Images" as I can't find a way to place HTML files on my website.
All of a sudden my clickable links for Elements 5 are not working, even from the program menu. The only way to access it is if I right click on a photo and choose Elements 5 as my opening program. I am worried that if I do an unistall/reinstall that Elements 5 will no longer be compatible with my Windows 7.
I have read somewhere using PSCS2 that you can go into shapes and retrieve a picture of map of the earth. I know the keys you have to press on the keyboard are 3 seperate keys to get this image from the shapes as it is not shown in the menu's for some reason. So does anyone know the keys to get the world map?
Question - What is the difference between the world UCS and the top UCS?
I am working in a fairly large model and when I have the UCS set to world and do the ID command I get the correct coordinance. However when I am in a plan view and UCS is set to top the co ordinance come in roughly 600 feet different. How to set the UCS so that co ordinance will be the same no matter what UCS is being used? Or explain why this would be?
I have a file that is behaving very oddly. Its a detail that I cannot pick some lines on in world UCS, but in Isometric views will pick ok, and to make matters worse, when I do a regen the lines in question vanish.

The geometry when try, to center in 3-D world space, does not. Shown are a few problems that I see with 3-D studio Max 2013, and I am not a professional. Any way to contact Autodesk in order to show these problems, but I'm showing in the pic.
I am trying to insert Geo-referenced TIF files into Map 2013 but the associated World files are not being found/recognised even though they are in the same directory as the image. I have tried both TAB and TFW using MAPIINSERTand Data Connect.
Going back to Map 2012, which we still have in the office, the World files are found and correlated correctly with both of the above World file types and Map commands.
I have 4 plans of the a building in separate files, all set to world ucs. I xref in ground floor to the first floor, then move the first floorr so it aligns. I complete the same process for plant room and roof. Having saved all the files I then xref back the first floor into the ground floor using the insertion point as 0,0,0 but the plans do not align???!!! I do the same for the other plans, the plant room plan aligns with ground floor whilst the roof plan aligns with fist floor [but not ground].
I have tried reinserting numerous times but am missing something? The files were supplied to us as dwg format but I do not know the full history.
I am using map 3d and I would like to merge/attach aerial photo map into an Autocad basemap. I was told that there is a featurein Map 3d that can merge aerial together.
Just wondering what the best way is to set-up my units and scale preferences in 3dsmax. I would like to have my units in mm or cm so that when I import an object with known and precise measurements, it will stay consistent in 3ds max. So that I can visualize the objects in the correct scale and make measurements with the right numbers.
Of course I dont want to mess with results ofmy textures, animation, camera and anything else in 3ds max and would want to have everything behave normally if my units were in cm or mm in stead of the default.

I'm trying to add an aimConstraint between objects that are placed under different transforms, but the problem is, it seems aimConstraints calculate the direction using the target and pointing objects local coordinates, is there someway to make it calculate them using world coordinates instead?
