I'm looking for a plugin to replace the smart blur standard one you get with photoshop, I want to create glamorous, airbrushed type photos, but finding the right plugin is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
This is an issue I have encountered in CS6 & CC since I've been using a slightly different workflow on a few projects. Â I create a smart object, say a coposite of a landscape with a road in it. I add a Radial Blur (zoom) to and move the origina point, file looks great and is adjustable as a smart filter. Â Problem occures, if I use Radial Blur (zoom) on another image and change the settings and vanishing point. - When I return back to the image with the blur as a smart filter, the zoom origin point has reverted back to be centred. Â On the subject of Radial Blur (zoom) a feature I would like is to be able to set the origin point of the zoom to be outside the canvas area.
I have subscribed to CC and smart filter support for blur and liquify are not working. I have first deactivated and reactivated PS CS6 extended and then tried uninstalling and reinstalling from my CC account. Neither method worked.
As far as I know, gaussian blur is a spatial convolution filter and smart sharpen is a deconvolution filter. So I think that they should be opposite of each other when smart sharpen is at the gaussian blur mode. But we can not remove gaussian blur (applied to a JPEG) with the smart sharpen adjusted for the same radius.
I have some random curves (already created) and I want to blur them just from one side to have the same blur distance and effect one the whole curve.
To more precisely describe what I need, I need to create gradient with direction of normal for every "point". The best example I have found so far are borders in Civilization IV game. Here are two examples:
As you can see, there is a solid curve, which gradually blends (i.e. alpha channel is lowered) till the gradient disappears. I have the solid curve and the question is, what would be the simplest way how to do this (the number of curves is around 100) gradient.
I just got PSE CS6 and the blur too will NOT work ....blur filters work, but not BLUR in the tools panel I have tried: unintstall/reinstall, updating, using it no a picture straight after opening it, duplicate layers, selecting an area and then blurring....flattening an image, every single different setting in the the blur tools menu bar NOTHING works. And everything I find about blur is the new blur filters....
i have outlined this pic and used the Gaussian blur , but how would i soften the edges of the blur so it doesnt look so "sharp"? I want it to kinda blend in so to say here is the pic.
1. Is there a way for masking each smart filter separately on a single smart object other than nesting one smart object into the another? 2. Is there a way for removing the previously created smart object?
I mean ... let's say I have a smart object containing four layers. Can I remove smart object from these layers?
Ps CS6 OSX 10.6.8  Problem: Transform applied to Smart Object fails to transform an attached Smart Filters Mask.  I mean a Transform, including Free Transform, as found in the Edit menu. A simple move by the Move Tool is OK.  A workaround until this bug is squashed is to encapsulate the Smart Object + Smart Filters + Filter Mask inside another Smart Object and transform that. However, that will not be a satisfactory solution in some cases. If a filter has size parameter(s), e.g. Gaussian Blur radius, a scaling or warping/distorting transform applied after the filter will obviously differ from the filter applied after the transform.  In any case, the workaround is inconvenient to subsequent editing and experimenting with filters and masks.
Being very, very new to Photoshop, could anyone tell me where to find plug-in‘KPT 5.0’ I’ve downloaded the 5.01 update files but can’t find ‘5.0’ to update! I already uploaded this question but it seems to have gone !?
I have installed the RAW plugin. It shows up in the help plugins. I did the preferences scratch and plugin etc. Will not open my RAW, which are really CRW files from my Canon 300 DSLR. What am i doing wrong?
I need to know how to install this plug-in from my photoshop CD. I follow all the steps, but still have a problem when I open up PSCS -- error message saying that some kind of .dll file cannot be found. I unzip the file (I think) and move the folder to the "plug-ins" folder in Photoshop program file.
I am able, however, to open photoshop despite that error message, but I don't see the effect under Filter>Render, where it says it will be. Am I missing an actual installation step and if so, where does it tell me to actually install the 3D filter? I had to make a cube for a class I'm taking and I made it, but freehand and a lot of transforming.
I am trying to locate a third party plugin for PhotoShop that was described to me by someone who had seen a website on it but did not remember the URL. Supposedly the manufacturer of the plugin had contacted the makers of a number of digital cameras and had incorporated profiles of each of them in the software, so that many of the problems of digital imaging (noise, grain, etc) were easily corrected with one click.
I have adobe CS4, windows vista and Nik software plugins. The plugins installed fine and I can open and use them in photoshop. However, when I click on "Ok" to apply the filter in photoshop, it shows as applied in the history states but it hasnt actually applied it to the photo.
The graphics cards is an ATI radeon HD 3650 and seems to be recognised by CS4 and am using open GL.
I've been using photoshop since version 5.. so I did what I've always been doing with my 3d party plugins.... stick em in the plugins folder but nothing happens.....I spent the whole day trying to figure out why.... in any istructions come with the plugins it was just saying to do the same old thing..... so does any body have any ideas why it wont work...?Does it matter that I got 64bit windows?....
been using PhotoShop for mabye a year and a half and was just wondering what plugins people here used, and what kind of work you used them in (website graphics, logos, abstract art, etc)
heres what i usually like to use..
KPT7 - if ya dont know and have never used these u dont know what your missing.. espically hypertiling and fraxflame
Master Blaster - great free color plugins.. come in yellow, green, red, blue, violet.. 3 filters in for each color (hue tint and background) plus 3 mixer plugs which mix RGB in really odd ways..
Flaming Pear - Flood, a really cool water plugin... Lunar Cell - Makes planets and moon like objects. Solar Cell - makes stars and suns.. I haven't really used too many other plugs from these guys but im sure they all rock..
I've been using this product for a few years and only a few months ago I re-installed it on Windows 7 and a few days ago I closed it and it stopped working right when it says "Scanning for Plug-Ins". I haven't changed anything with the product. While I had it installed on the D-drive (The C and D got mixed up) it hadn't had a problem until a few days after continually hearing that the C: drive was full (leading to mass deletions of unused programs and files). Just today I had fixed the problem of the drives and the program had the same problem. I've tried the multiprocessor plug-in, uninstalling and reinstalling it, There are only a few oddities I can say happened during the reinstallation, it was unable to activate.  Operating System: Windows 7 Program: Photoshop CS version 8.0  Error Message: Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.  Problem signature:  Problem Event Name:   AppHangB1  Application Name:   Photoshop.exe  Application Version:   8.0.0.0  Application Timestamp:   3f8fad4d  Hang Signature:   472f [code]...
I am looking to build a good collection of Photoshop Plug-ins. Particularly image manipulation ones. I already have the Alien Skin suite and the three from Berg Design (peel off white, grey to white and grey to black). I am looking for high end professional ones. No amateur looking ripple effect or lame edge treatments.
I'm looking for some watermark plugin for photoshop 7 or photoshop cs to put watermark to my digital pictures and avoid them from unauthorizied printing.I have tried some watrmark programs out of photoshop but they put visible watermark on pictures (over the human faces and so).I want to put unvisible watermark to my pictures ( unvisible when looking the pictures on computer monitor) but visible when somebody try to print them in photo labaratory. I try to use DIGIMARK filter in photoshop 7 but without succsess .I put few digits in ID box and PIN box, copyring year, then read the watermark atributes, everything seems is OK but when I print pictures there is no watermark.
