I am trying to install photoshop cs. It was an upgrade product. I no longer have the old media, but I do have the old serial number. How can I get the new version installed?
View 5 RepliesI bought CS 5.5, but the disks only installed Photoshop 5.1 (Illustrator and Encore same thing). The other programs are 5.5. Now, I just purchased the upgrade to CS 6, and can't install it, since all the "5.5" programs were not there.

I am trying to install CS3 and after I have authorised Vista to proceed with the installation the "Adobe Setup" window flashes onto my screen for 2 or 3 seconds before disappearing. And then all activity ceases ie I can hear the disc stop spinning. There are no error messages or anything.
I purchased the product through Amazon and I didn't download the trial version of CS3.
I have a downloaded version of of Photoshop CS5.1, which was a special upgrade offer for users of PSE. I have installed PSE 7.0 on my new machine successfully. I also have the folder "Photoshop CS5 Installers" (from my old computer).
I have a file with the serial number of my CS5.1. If I run the file "Photoshop_12_1_LS1.exe" (with the file "Photoshop_12_1_LS1.7z" in the same folder) will this re-install Photoshop CS5.1 on my new computer? My old machine was running Vista Home Premium SP2 (32-bit) and the new one is running Windows 7 Professional SP1 (64-bit). I don't want to try anything without really knowing what I'm doing for fear of messing things up.
Trying to rebuild a win XP system for my wife. Her machine with PS CS has crashed. When I install PS CS upgrade the install routine wants a PS 5.0 disc to verify the license. Then it give an error that "A qualifying version of Photoshop was not detected".
I tried phone support, they verified that we do own a valid copy of CS but could not work because the software is no longer phone supported.
I would like to install an upgrade version of Photoshop CS (3,4,5, etc) on a Mac Pro. I have an older version of Photoshop on a Power PC type Mac. Can I install the newer version of Photoshop CS if I have the old install disk? Or will only a full installation disk work?

where when I try to export my video, I get a pop up window saying 'some media is offline, it will be rendered using the red media offline graphic'. in Premier pro all my media seems to be online, I have followed several different video tutorials on how to re-link media and the option to re-link media is greyed out for me as there is no media that is unlinked, so why does this message come up when trying to export? Playback in PP is fine, all media appears to be online.
Having viewed the exported video it seems that all the media which has been replaced by the red 'media offline' logo is all the .MTS files filmed on my Camcorder whereas all the GoPro footage is showing up correctly in the exported video.
Here's the text:
1. Should Media Cache Files and Media Cache Database be in separate folders? Does it matter?

I amusing the default settings in the render menu. Adobe media encoder - Quicktime - animation hight quality - document size 1920 x1080 - document frame rate 29.97 - field order progressive - aspect document 1.0 - all frames.
When I open Elements 11, I get "There is no media to preview". The program was working correctly. MY catalog contains 10K photos. I have been working on a video in Premier 11 and lost the ability to connect with My Catalog. I have opened File>> My Catalogs. I see my catalog[current] but the open button is not active. How do I open My Catalog? I do have another small catalog and it will open.

I have a student edition of CS5 Extended. I have been running it on a Linux Ubuntu system with virtural box 32 bit only. I happy to announce I now have a new PC with windows 7 with an upgrade to windows 8 that I can purchase. I was wondering since I will now be able to use the 64 bit Photoshop on my new system what is the procedure to get my serial number for my new PC? I do not know where I saved it. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with installing any Adobe CS5 programs on my Mac OS X 10.6.8. I successfully installed a Master Collection CS5 edition that we use in my school. But then I had to reinstall all of them and after installing it says it was successfull but all I find in my "Applications" folder is just folders of the applications and nothing to launch inside. I thought at first that maby this had something to do with cashe so I cleared all cashe and manually looked for more files that maby would have remained on the computer but I could not find any. I have Windows Vista Home Premium, and more than enough space on the computer, have deleted my existing version of CS2, and It keeps coming up and saying that it was checking system profile (or something like that) and now I have just tried it again and it comes up with several errors, the first one is MAIN_FILE_VERSION. The second one is PRODUCT_REGISTRY_PARENT. And the last one is PRODUCT_REGISTRY_KEY. I am trying to install the student eddition, and have sent in my application into adobe already. View 4 Replies View RelatedThe company I've just started working for has gotten a copy of CS2 with a 5 user license for the 4 machines. I managed to talk them into letting me use the 5th license at home (I work from home from time to time). Woohoo
However I've been trying to install it on my 1.8Ghz AppleMac G5 with 512Mb AM 120Mb free HD space and running Mac OSX 10.3.9 and It won't.
I run the installer program it asks for my admin password and then calls up a dialog box saying...
"All Adobe applications must be closed before your new software can be installed.
Please close all Adobe applications that are running and then restart the installer."
And makes me quit the installer.
There is NOTHING running.
I have dumped ALL existent Adobe software.
I have created a new User Account and tried from there.
I have safe booted and tried like that.
I have repaired my Disk Permissions
I have created Disk Images of all the disks and tried installing from the desktop.
Still does the same thing.

I own the Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Web Premium and I just purchased the Adobe Production Premium CS4. I just rebuilt the machine with Vista 64 and am about to reinstall all the software. I'm trying to figure out if I can skip Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3 and Version Cue CS3 when I install the CS3 suite and just use the ones that came with CS4 or is this going to cause any issues? (i.e. should I also install the CS3 versions?). I was told to make sure I install the Flash CS3 before the Flash CS4, but what about Photoshop and Illustrator?

iv also done the script cs3 cleanup thing at level 2 but still wont work.
I couldn't get it to install - hangs on "Detecting graphics hardware..." - on a 4850 board.
