How they do this? glassy good looking buttons and stuff?
hey i was wondering how i can get this to make it look like there is glass on top of the blueish backround
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow the text was done in this flyer?
I cannot get the neony glass effect.
I'd like to add the glassy edge reflection to some pics..how this can be done..the extreme colors of the pics is nice as well. The edge of the pics have all the burn edge here and there. the middle one has a lot in the bottom right edge. Also if you look closely at the corners, it looks like the whole picture sits in a recessed area... How would I do all this?
The 3 pics in the coloumn have the reflective glossy edge making the picture thick almost roundish surface..
to the left is text i've recently seen on a lot of websites. It has that nice diffused background that's very subtle and not so noticeable.
I have a flattened image of 2 texts and a background.
This picture was made up of a speaker, marathon runners, 2 texts ,a wave, and some sort of overlay. im trying to replicate this image as much as possible so i can animate it in flash mx (speaker bouncing, shine going over text, outlining guys). I think i'm okay with everything but the font.
I think I found the closet font "Neuropolitical" but now i need to know how to apply the blending and lighting effects. The font i have is not rounded in the corners on the letters but i guess this was done by the effects on the text. Code:
remove the background/textured images from these patterns?
(the first image has a globe shap that i want to remove and the second has a hand with pointed finger.)
I want to keep the pattern because it creates a transparent/glassy effect, but when i tried to flatten the image thourgh the layer menu it shows up white (with the shapes i want to remove) without the transparent effect.
I'm creating a new website header and I have created a new button for my nav bar. I'm clicking ctr + alt + shift and clicking and dragging and dropping the new buttons across. Is there a way to exactly keep the same distance between the buttons? Right now I'm trying to judge it by eyesight.

View 9 Replies View Relatedcreating a rollover button for a website that Im creating. Ive attached the first image needed to create the rollover. Please open it up and take a look at it. As you can see the button is extruding out of the image. What I want to do is wen you click the link that the button will pushed down, or embossed if you will. Im not sure anymore how to make this effect. I dont think the emboss filter or blending options can create an effect like this but if any of you have any idea how to create this effect (of the button being pushed down when you click the link) ...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make buttons on PS. I am very new to this. I am taking a class in DW and didn't know that PS was going to be used so I didn't learn it (so now I am trying to learn 2 software programs at same time).
I am trying to make buttons for a site redesign project for class. I figured out how to make the layer, put the name (eg. Home, About Us, etc) and do drop shadows, bevel etc. The problem is when I do that it only makes these changes over the text. I cannot figure out how to make a box around the text, and make that box a button. It is frustrating. I have tried so many different things.
I need create 2 buttons on bitmap image, both in the bottom, aligned horizontally. It will be hotspot areas, and work as action buttons in autorun. Then i need to determine the X,Y coordinates of the upper left hand corner, the Width, and the Height of each hotspot area in the bitmap. The image area where buttons will be placed is white(transparent), so i want just image style buttons - integrated into the background image, or windows style buttons. How to make buttons for my bitmap?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn photoshop I made a 400 by 400 area and made a small button.
Now that I have the button I am stuck!
1. What is the best way/ways to crop just a bit around this button to save it as an image file?
2. if I need to make more buttons with different text, do I need new files or can I use one file and change text and save-as each time?
3. how can I crop exactly the same area around the button to make sure when I use these images on a html page, they align exactly in the same spot?
Ok I am having trouble following the tutorial below for glass buttons. So I googled "photoshop glass buttons" and found this tutorial Now I completed it fine and I think it is amazing. But I am wanting to make rectangle buttons. I have tried 6 other tutorials and followed them word for word and none of the buttons came out right. So I attempted to do the one I pasted above but using rectangle marquee tool. Except when I fill the space it doesnt have a solid edge around.
I was wondering if anyone could simplify or possibly show me a good tutorial for making rectangle glass effect buttons that definatley works.
How do i get my number buttons working again?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've sliced quite a few homepages in ImageReady before and made rollovers for buttons etc without a problem. For some reason I'm having trouble with a slightly newer version (V9) of the program on my new laptop. I make all the rollover states, select all the slices and 'save optimised' html and images. However, none of the secondary rollover images appear in the images folder, just the normal state pics, so none of the buttons roll. I can't see what I would need to change in the settings to make the program save the rollover alternative images like it used to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst of all I want to introduce myself. My name is Joshua, I'm from beautiful little Switzerland (yeah, lot of chocolate and cheese here!), and I'm a webmaster (HTML, CSS, PHP, Ruby on Rails) and programmer (C, Java, PHP, Ruby).
At the moment I have to rely on other guys to create nice website layouts, but now I want to learn it myself using Photoshop. :-)
My first question is quite simple: I'm working on Mac OS X Tiger and I'd like to switch between buttons in Photoshop dialogs using the tab key... So if I e.g. want to close an image and I'm asked if I want to save the file, then I can't switch to "No" using tab (as a programmer I don't want to use my mouse too often ;-) ).
Is there an option to activate this? In Mac OS X I have activated this option, but in Photoshop it doesn't seem to work...
I have four buttons that are oval shaped at a size of 100 pixels wide and about 25 pixels high.
In the future, I might want to change the text so instead of creating the button with text on it; I would like to use plain text.
I've tried slicing it and adding the text after making the middle section (text section) the background. Of course this messes up the tables and it becomes a mess. Can somebody tell me the best way to slice this?
whenever im in photoshop, and i go to click "Save to Web" or any of the "Filter" options or anything like that, i click it and nothing pops up.... What could be wrong here? all the tool buttons work ok, its just the stuff on menus that dont work. its PSD 7.0, my res settings are 1152x864, and PS 7.0 and Win XP.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a set of buttons and arrows all on different layers in PS. I want to make one of these arrows pop up to the left of the text upon rollover. Basic stuff.
What I'm confused about is how to do this using slices in PS and then putting it into Dreamweaver.
Do the arrows have to be on seperate slices? It seems so easy and yet my brain for some reason can't figure it out.
when ever i make a round image, transparent bg with button, the edges always seem "choopy". is there a way to insure getting a smooth circle for .gif buttons and keeping all color info intact.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have run into 2 problems
1. The buttons are not contacting eachother to form a smooth navigation bar. For instance, there would be a half inch gape showing just the background between the HOME and FORUMS buttons. The edges of each image does not contact eachother to form a smooth navigation bar. (Picture added for better understanding.)
2. The image that I sliced up was in the size of 1024x768. Now obviously when a person with 800x800 resolution views it, they will have to scroll. But no matter what size I input, they will either have to scroll, or a 1024x768 viewer, there bar would be to short/small. Is there a strand in dreamweaver that one can type to kind of "autosize" the header depending on the persons resolution?
