View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add dotted pairs to a list of dotted pairs one at a time in a loop, but I cannot get through one iteration.
The pseudo code is basically
(while (/= nil readline) (if = 0 count (setq 0list (cons 8 readline f))
(count = count + 1) (else (setq 0list (append 0list (cons 8 readline f)))
(count = count + 1)
)
)
The program gets the layer name from a text file and makes a dotted pair out it. When it iterates for the first time it puts the dotted pair into 0list. When it iterates the second time I want it to take the next line make a dotted pair and append 0list.
I keep getting error:bad list and I am assuming it is because it is trying to append 0list which only has one dotted pair in it and is technically not a list. I am not sure.
I have like three different versions of the same code I have tried. Any way to read a layer name from a file make a dotted pair and add the dotted pairs to a list of dotted pairs one at a time that would be amazing.
I get the reading and making a dotted pair part. I just can't get the dotted pairs to add to a master list.
I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 7 (32 bit) and installed CS5 on it. Everything seems to be fine, but using my wacom intuos 3 tablet i found that when making curved brush strokes every so often it came out as a straight line, the straight line being where i start and finish the curve (see pic below. The S stroke is what should happen. The straight line is what happens every so often with the same motion).
At first i thought it was the tablet and reinstalled the drivers to no effect. Since then i've discovered that the same thing occurs with the mouse. The problem occurs once every five or so strokes (i'm doing digital art, so there's a lot of strokes). It never happens if i do a stroke slowly, but will almost always happen if i do a fast stroke.
Testing other painting programs i've found them all to be fine (i grabbed trials of open Canvas, Sai and Gimp and had no such issues). However, getting out my old copy of CS2, i found it had the same problem. The problem does appear to be Photoshop + my computer based. I've since reinstalled them both but had no success there either. (My computer is a intel i3 btw with 8gb of ram, so i wouldn't believe it to be a performance issue)
i want the borders to be from dots, instead of straight lines

View 7 Replies View Relatedhow do you quickly make a rectangle with dotted stroke in Photoshop?
I am trying to emulate rectangles.
So far I've been jumping back and forth from Illustrator and this is getting tiring.
it's regarding this image. Originally it was very dirty in the background (still is if you look at the striped mountains and cottage), and I've tried making it white by playing around a bit with the curve adjustments. Obviously the results weren't as white as I wanted them to be, so I decided to dodge some areas (on the other parts of this picture which I didn't include). Later on I decided to pick up the bucket tool.
It works very well, but now I'm having this problem. If you look at the red ground, it's all dotted. However, the bucket tool filled up some of these dots too, making the ground very thin.what I can do about this?how I can make the background white (the quicker the method the better!) in case the curve adjustment settings doesn't properly work?
I need dotted lines in the jpg I'm creating (per client's request). Anyway to create that in Photoshop?

Now click the Stroke Path Icon (which one's that?). By default, your foreground color will be used to create a dotted stroke."

View 8 Replies View RelatedLast week, I noticed a blue-dotted box around every image I opened with
Photoshop as well as a little number and symbol in the top lefthand corner.
I wanted to make some lines that are dotted, but I don't want to make them all straight.
I want to have them bent and curved in some places.
Is there any easy way in Photoshop CS3 or later Extended to create "dotted or Dask" rectangles? I am talking about the border of the rectangle to be "dotted or dash" line rather usual line? If there is any Action script (free) that will be fanatic.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a trial of Adobe Photoshop CC and when I started it up I noticed these dotted lines on the transformation control lines. I sure it's not a new feature because I did not see this in videos of people using Photoshop CC. My computer also meets all the requirements for the application and it runs really smoothly. This really bugs me because it glitches sometimes too.
Here are images of the problem:

Ihow one can make a brush like this (the white dotted lines), so when you drag your brush in photoshop, they are spaced out nice like this (instead of doing it individually). If anyone knows how to do this, or know of places with brushes like these.

Another problem I have, though not sure if it is related, I cannot draw 1-pixel lines with the pencil tool near the edges of my documents... sometimes when i try on the top it works, sometimes not and so forth. I just seems to not recognize it when i try to make a custom 1-pixel border.
I am trying to figure out how to make a curve dotted line with photoshop CS3 on WinXP. I know how to make a strait line using the line tool.
Now, how to make a curve line ? I tried the pen tool, but it ended up with a filled shape rather than with a curve line
How to set the thickness of this curve ?
How to make a dotted curve ?
Of course, I don't want to use hand-drawings with the brush.
How would I create a dotted or broken lined stroke around a selection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received an almost-new Wacom CTL-470 tablet from my father yesterday, so naturally I began fooling around with Photoshop line drawings and simple art.
The initial problem I discovered was that, oddly enough, the basic brush tools, when dragged, would not create a solid line. It would only create a dotted line, the spaces between dots varying with speed of the pen against the tablet.
If I dragged the pen slowly enough (very... very slowly), it would create a kind of shaky line, which was just dots very close together.
Naturally I thought it was the tablet's fault, but upon trying to use the mouse to do the same function, the problem persisted.
I use Photoshop CS and I didn't change any settings at all today.
I would also like to know how I can use my tablet to create a tapering effect with my pen pressure. The "pen pressure" setting in the Brushes menu seemed to have no effect.
Here's an example of the issue, both in large brushes and a smaller one in the background.
I use CS4 and somehow I turned the dotted or dashed lasso line into a solid black line. I want to get the dotted or dashed line back. How can I do that?
