Aug 25, 2013Have looked pretty much everywhere (except the right place, apparently) for my Nik and OnOne software. Do they have to be installed into PS to work? They show up in LR and work fine.

Jun 11, 2013I am trying to find a filter using CS4 that enables me to produce the exaggerated line "scratchy" effect. The photo below is an example of the effect. It would be used on parallel lines criss-crossing each other. I haven't been able to find anything similar. I've already tried the smudge tool, rough pastels, and wind. But, the effect isn't strong enough. Is there another filter out there? I've also already looked at the filters on Adobe Community page.

Sep 18, 2012I have been using Sketchbook Pro of late for drawing with my Cintiq because it has some great, natual looking brushes, right there and easy to use. I figure that Photoshop must be able to do the same thing, but I can't see how. Photoshop is much more powerful and useful, but I find that I need to use Sketchbook Pro to draw, but can't see that this should be.
how to achieve the natural brushes I want, as below? The top three are the same brush at different sizes. They approximate a kind of charcoal look. The bottom two are two different brushes which I find useful for shading. How do I get brushes like this in Pnotoshop?

Oct 19, 2013Have used Adobe Application Manager to download Photoshop CC. It now says it is up to date but I cannot find it on my Mac. Where is it? Can I start all over again?
Double clicking on the icon within Adobe Application Manager does nothing.
I am running an older 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 DUo with 8Gb memory.

Jul 1, 2004I used to use a tool in PS 5.5 that I can't find in PS7. I believe you would select an area, then you could mirror that area onto a different part of the picture, and it even gave you a display window showing you the original area you selected. Does anyone know what this tool is called and where it's located in Photoshop 7?

Photoshop :: Trying To Find Border Art
Jun 25, 2007I design web pages on occasion and it almost always comes up that I need some border art for effects. What I mean by that is not necessarily a full square frame, but more like decorative separators to go between paragraphs, or to set off a footer. Know what I mean?
I'm not creative enough to design the little things myself, but I also have not been able to find any sources for them, short of just stealing one off another page, which I don't want to do.
Sorry I don't have an example right now, if I come across one, I'll post it back here.
I hope I explained it enough. Suppose you went to a really elegant web site, you might find them using a fancy little curly brace thing between paragraphs or something. Know what I mean? I'm trying to find a source for such little candy graphics.

Nov 5, 2013I have a dying laptop with Photoshop CS4 on it. I want to reload it onto my new laptop but cannot find a download version of PS CS4 (no disk) any longer out on the internet or at least from a trustworthy site. I have the serial number from the active program. I have the original activation key. I could only find an Arabic CS4 version out on C/NET but my activation key numbers are coming up as invalid. I had to do a software reinstall of my old laptop a year or so ago and was still able to use my original activation key. That was when I could still find a US version of PS CS4. I've tried to deactivate my current software on my old laptop with no luck. My theory is my activation key code will only work on a US version of Photoshop CS4.I can be pointed to a place where I can download a US version of PS CS4 and that my activation key will work.

Oct 31, 2013I checked exchange in PS CC and could not find either the russell brown watercolor or oil-paint plugins... I watched the youtube video and it showed them there when he was doing a tutorial, but when I went to look all I found of his was paper textures.
Also, I went to his "Dr. Brown" web site and I found them there, and I downloaed them to my mac, but the installer does not install them.
