just wondering, dont know if this has been asked before, but what type of computer does everyone use for their graphic design? Does everyone use Mac's?
Can we also please write the spec, i.e. ram, HD, graphics cards and screen size?
Just thought it would be interesting to see what people use in comparasion, and also im thinking of buying a new computer just for graphic/print design and wanted some tips!
I have CS5 installed on a desktop computer that crashed and I can't get it working to deactivate CS5. I am going to purchase a new desktop and would like to install CS5 on the new computer, but it was already installed on two computers (desktop and laptop) so no activations are left. I have the Disk and serial number.
I started a new computer with LR5, and it runs fine. But, when I imported my pics from a previous computer running LR4, all the pics loaded into the new LR without any tags or processing. How can I get that info without having ot reprocess thousands of pictures?
I need to validate CS6 on a new computer. I've put in the serial number but says it is valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer though I selected CS6 extended. Not quiet sure what to do.
I have a student version of CS4. Before I upgrade, I'd like to install it on a second computer. But I don't have an installer file. How should I proceed?
I use Master Collection CS5.5 with all the latest patches on an iMac 27" (mid 2010) with 16 GB Ram, 2.93 GHz Core i7. When I worked in Photoshop, always after 2-4 minutes I got immediately a blank screen and the iMac was powered off. Someone in the thread said, that's always if you work with a resolution of 300 dpi. I remembered, that this was the first time, I used 300dpi, because normally I work only with 72 to 150 dpi. So I opened a new file with 150dpi and I could do the whole work WITHOUT crashes!
I also think that this is normally a memory problem with bad RAM, but WHY is it only triggered with 300dpi? I will do a Test also with 400dpi so I know, I can only work to 299 dpi, or I can only NOT wort WITH 300dpi.
I have exhausted the disk space on my MacBook Pro and need to purchase a model with more space. Can I move my CS6 to the new computer, and if so, how should I do so?
I would like to uninstall PS CS4 on the same computer and keep the third party plugins in filters and goodies as well as my scanner twain without having to reinstall them. I seem to be having a problem with PS on my desktop but not on my laptop. Is that possible and if so how can I do it?
I’m going to be getting a new computer soon and was wondering about how to change over my Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 to the new computer. In the past, when upgrading to a new computer, I could deactivate Photoshop through the help menu. Photoshop CC no longer shows that option, and since only two copies are allowed at once, I’m at a loss as to how to retire the copy I have now and switch the account to the new computer in such a way that Adobe can verify I have done so. I also have both Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 on another computer.
I need to move my CS4 suite to my new Mac (from an older Mac) and I can't for the life of me figure out how I can do this without the original discs. I've tried simply moving the files over on a drive and then activating with my serial number, but apparently I'm missing some files from my old machine.
I can't find any downloads of old trial versions to use and the subsequently authorize with my serial number.
I need to move my copy of Photoshop from my old computer to my new computer.
Is it OK to just install it from the original disc on my new computer or will I need to uninstall it from my old computer first, then install it on the new computer?
My concerns are more related to licensing than technical issues. I have Photoshop CS4.
I currently have CS6 on my desktop. If I buy a new computer is there any problems with Re-registering the program from my old and downloading it to the new?
I have CS5 (extended) on my computer now. I just bought CS6 (not extended) thru Amazon.com (no Cloud involved). I would like an explanation of how the installation process goes. Does CS6 override or uninstall CS5?
And is it possible to have both CS5 and CS6 on the same computer at the same time? I do know that I can install Photoshop on two computers, I just have to decide whether I want to do that.
I want to move or add Photoshop & Lightroom to a new computer. I read somewhere that the licensing agreement allows installation on two computers if they are not used at the same time, which is my case. Is this true? Tried to access the licensing PDF on the Adobe site, but it seems to be down.
Why can't I download Photoshop cs6 onto my new PC? I have the original Photoshop CS3 disk which has been upgraded online to CS6 with new serial number. I could not find any way to download either a trial or the programme I bought. My new computer is Windows 7 64 bit. If I deactivate Photoshop CS6 on my old pc will that work?
I had Photoshop 9 installed on an older i Mac whose hard drive failed, and on a Mac book laptop. I wish to activate on my new i Mac, but the program believes I still have installed on two previous computers. I do not have the old computer with the failed hard drive and there is no way to access the program on that unit.
I upgraged to CS6 via the Adobe download for my MacBook Pro, and Mac Pro. I'm changing my MacBook Pro to the the Retina display model, and I can't seem to find out how to uninstall CS6 on my old MacBook Pro, and install it on the new one. I've been to the Adobe site, but I'm lost.
I had been running CS5 extended on my old computer. Now, on the new computer, I want to upgrade to CS6 (regular, not extended). I know I don't have to install the old software on my new computer.
I'd just like to know which download link to use to get the full CS6 software and the upgrade pricing. Will there be a path in the authorization process where I can put in my old serial numbers (so it's the same download link for everyone?). My first Photoshop version was CS3, and then I upgraded to CS5 extended. Shall I put in both serial numbers or just the one for the CS5 upgrade?
I recently purchased a new computer and I need to transfer my photoshop to it from my old computer. Is there a way to do this or do I need to purchase a new one?
So far I have tryed to find the actions on my computer but without success. There are not in the presets/action folder. That folder is empty.
If I try to save the actions from the actions window in photoshop I cannot manage because the "save action" function is not available (it's there but can't be clicked...)
