II have downloaded some free sharpening scripts and installed into my CS3. I have tried to batch run the scripts but could not seem to be able to do so. The automate or photo processor seems to only allows batch running from actions but not scripts.
Is there any shortcut in Photoshop or Bridge to stop running script or batch? I tried the usual suspects like Esc, Ctrl-C, Ctrl-Break and none worked. I am running Dr. Brown Services and by mistake I let it process 850 photographs instead of 34... The script has finished, but I would like to know for next time...
Bug in photoshop creative cloud. When using the "batch" editing feature after 5 images being edited the same way (batch processing) an error code pops up. "Error:not enough ram" and then i have to restart which does the same thing over and over again. Running a quad core i7 1tb hard drive 16gb of memory so there should be no error code. I have done everything from creating new scratch disks off of other hdd's allotting more ram to go to psd (since i can only use 3255mb because of a useless limiter on photoshop) to rebooting computer and nothing works at all.
We run Actions on a group of images using CS4 with the File->Automate->Batch function. We use this to take, for example, 200 images from a set folder, run an action to change them into a different colour and save in a different folder, we need to do this 20 times on the same images running a different script each time to change them into a different colour and save them in the same folder (with different file extensions) Â Is there a way we can instruct Photoshop to run all of these 20 scripts (one after the other in a queue as it where) without having to "Babysit" it and ask it to run each one off ourselves?
Situation: Rendering a sequence of frames with different image dimensions (photos of 3D scene for printing, different image dimensions needed for different purposes). Changing image width/height in pre-render frame MEL script. Therefore, need to know what frame we are on.
Unfortunately, mental ray batch render returns frame number (currentTime) of PREVIOUS frame when called during pre-render frame script. I have to add 1 to get the frame that is about to render, to determine needed image dimensions.
This is different than rendering current frame within Maya to preview what will happen -- currentTime is already on the correct frame. Â So, in my frame mel script, I need to know whether in batch mode or not, to know whether to add 1 to time. Â How do so? Â I searched docs and googled. Â All I found is a mention "Implementors of render traversals may wish to check whether they are running in batch mode", that did not say how to do so. And a mention in 2006 of "about -batch" that supposedly gives documentation that mentions how to do so. But the about command must be obsolete.
I have a batch program which I want to launch from a LISP program.
First this is an attempt at an automated process whereby user input is extremely restricted. Other than the first click of the mouse on the menu item to save a copy of the file to a very restricted folder, no other user input is allowed.
AutoCAD, like most commercial apps writes a temporary file and then renames it when you choose save or saveas. And due to the restrictions in this folder that will not work. Crazy, I know but it's the parameters I must work within.
The batch file I'm launching calls another batch program in it's execution and I'm wondering if that could be where control is lost. But the thing is I can type this at the command line in AutoCAD:
(startapp "//a_very_long/novell_server_path/my_folder/vlisp/mybatchfile.bat") Â The whole process works great. The command window flashes briefly AutoCAD closes the active drawing window just like I want it to. And when I check that the dwg file has been copied to the restricted folder it's there and done. But when I place that same command within my LISP program or one like this:
(command "._STARTAPP" "CMD //a_very_long/novell_server_path/my_folder/vlisp/mybatchfile.bat")or(command "._STARTAPP" "CMD ""//a_very_long/novell_server_path/my_folder/vlisp/mybatchfile.bat"") Â or just about anything else I try it fails to run. Perhaps I've been looking at this problem too long. I think I may move on to a VB.NET process to do this but I am really baffled why it will run from the command line but not within the program.
So I have an action that I've been using for the past couple years (?) now that involves opening an image, applying an auto color and auto levels, saving and closing. This has been working for me since probably a couple years ago when I made the action. Yesterday, I was working on a scanning project where I have groups of images in separate folders. I ran the action on the first 2 folders which went fine.
When I got to the 3rd folder all the way up to the last one, PS just loads all the images, does the levels and color then fails to save/close them when done. On one of my folders, it gets through a few of them when it drops the ball and just opens all of them. I'm not sure what's going on as there's no real explanation as to why this is happening.. especially when I've been using this action (and I even made a new action with still no luck). Last week I had about 300 images I had to work with and PS decided to pull this move on me after doing the first 30 of them fine...which is when I first noticed this happening. Â To further add, I set my action to show everything step by step and it seems to happen with select images (in some cases, these select images are entirely what is in the folder). With the select images, it is not doing the actions entirely in order. Typically it does it in this manner:
1-Levels 2-Levels 3-Save 4-Close  What I'm now experiencing is this:
2-Levels 1-Levels
(Skips 3 and 4 since it is starting at 2 and working upward).
After download stopped, it says that Photoshop is up to date. When I tried to open it, it was an incomplete/corrupt file. How can I re-install on Mac running on 10.9?
I have an application that needs to convert .psd files to .jpg files.  I have everything working within the program, but the program cannot run without somebody being logged in. Photoshop appears to not run unless somebody is logged in.  Is there a will to get Photoshop to run when nobody is logged in to the desktop. I would like to get this scheduled to run automatically.
I have a pretty beastly pc and photoshop is the only app that is very sluggish when loading or processingDo scratch disks play an important part? Â Specs: Â I7 920 CPU Radeon HD 6800 video card 24gig DDR3 320gb SSD (C:) 4x 1tb HDD
I am running LR4 which has Camera Raw 7. When I choose a photo to edit in Mac PSCS5, it states i need Camera Raw 7 installed in PS. PS has CR 6.6 and states everything is up to date. How to handle this apparent problem?
I am trying to run Photoshop CS3 on Windows 7 64bit. Everytime I open the program, I get an error saying "Adobe Photoshop CS3 has stopped working", immediately after the splash screen goes away and the main gui opens. The only option on the error is "Close Program".
I've been using CS for a short time, but when I open the file browser the program comes to a crawl. I'm currently using a laptop with a 700mhz processor and 512mb of ram. Are there any setup settings I should be using to get the thing to run faster, short of dumping the file browser?
Could you peeps offer any suggestions on what this problem could be with my pc? In the last few days my system as really slowed down to the point of stopping. I have 1gb ram and 140gb hd, p4 and top graphics card. i`m running norton av to check. If anybody thinks they know what the prob could be please do get in touch.
I've got a project going with a church to create artwork that will be printed on vinyl wallpaper. So the artwork has to be done large and in high resolutions to insure its sharp when printed out that large. So my files are huge, and my old computer, a Pentium 3 system, couldn't handle it all. Untill I could get a new computer, my mom let me borrow her notebook (XP, Pentium 4, 2gig memory) to do the work on. I installed CS3 and my Wacom Intuos3 pen tablet on it, and besides the fact that it took my files 5 to 10 minutes to open, it worked well. I bought my new computer through ibuypower.com in October. Its a 3ghz Core 2 Duo, 4 gig of memory, Geforce 8800GTX system running Vista. After I installed CS3 and my pen tablet things seemed to be good at first. My files open much faster on it, no more than a few minutes now. But once I got around to creating new work on the computer, I noticed that my pen tablet was not as responsive as it was on the notebook. It works fine about 50% of the time, but the other half the time its really laggy. I'll start drawing, and the new line will stop rendering untill I stop drawing, and then it catches up. As you might guess, drawing blind like that is no good and I usually have to redo it untill it starts running the way it should. Now initially I thought I may not have the current Vista drivers for my pen tablet, but that wasn't the case. Then I started doing some work that didn't require the pen tablet, and I noticed that I have the same problem with the mouse. So the problem isn't the pen tablet at all. Its got to be how CS3 runs under Vista. It was running fine under XP on my moms Pentium 4 notebook, but not good on my superior new computer. Has anyone else here had similar problems? I've heard that Vista is a memory hog, so what are my options? I've considered dual booting, or even just going back to XP, but I'd rather not do anything that drastic untill I know I have no other options.
AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core processor 2.20GHz 4GB Ram Windows Vista 64
My graphics card: Dual SLI Geforce 9600 GT (1GB Ram)
I booted up CS4 last night expecting to see an amazing difference, and well I did. It ended up seeing slower redraw rates and it chugs when I pan through big images.
I have a feeling there's some setting that I'm not doing right. I updated my Geforce drivers.
In the Nvidia control panel, there are a ton of settings for the Photoshop CS4 applications that I've been playing with but cant seem to get a favorable solution. Anyone have an Easy Button for this?
Ive upgraded my pc to get better performance out of cs4 that Ive been using for about a month now, e8500 cpu Asus P5Q Pro m/b 4Gb ramm and Gigabyte ati radeon 4650 1 Gb Graphics card, keep getting error message cs4 had to close, I suspect its a conflict with new graphics card. Ive down loaded cs4 update and card has latest driver.
This haunts our users since we migrated to Vista. When Photoshop CS2/CS3 is running under Vista the ESCAPE key does not work correctly with other programs. When PS is running, the escape key works only when pressing SHIFT+ESC together. This is extremely annoying when multiple programs are used, what could be the root of the problem?
All of a sudden CS5 stopped working. If I am cropping a photo, it takes about 5 min to complete, then zooms way into the pic. Several other things aren't working such as "copy/paste".Â
I can see the following services running behind photoshop even after exiting the application. Â VulcanMessageCmd.exe*32 CS6ServiceManager.exe*32 SwitchBoard.exe*32 Â Can I force close them while bridge or photoshop running? This is my requirement in app-v because when I exit the bridge , photoshop these processes run behind which doesn't allow my virutal bubble to shutdown. Â Can I close all these processes even if photoshop is running?Actually I killed these processes from task manager but didn't affect photoshop application. But just want to make sure force closing these processes wont break the running application.
I created droplets for my photos but I have a problem with them. When I move files to the shortcuts while Photoshop is already open, nothing seems to happen. I have to close and re-open the program everytime I use the droplet shortcut for the action to take place. Why is it? How can I fix it?
Having a problem with default program running 32 bit Photoshop CC. I have tried changing the default program to run 64 bit Photoshop CC and not 32 but it continues to run the 32bit version.I am running windows 8.1 and Photoshop CC. how to get 64bit to stick?
So, I opened a big .psd document and I worked on it for a while. I restarted my pc, and the Photoshop CS6 crashed, then after restarting the PC Adobe Photoshop CS6 was trying to open the autosave from last time, and then it showed me this error: Could not apply the saved panel configuration, resetting to default. Â And after that, this error: Could not apply the saved panel configuration, resetting to default. Then, Photoshop CS6 crashed.
I have a Mac running OS X version 10.7.5. I have Photoshop Elements 8 and 9 installed. They work fine. I also have Photoshop CS5.1 installed. It worked fine for a number of months until yesterday. Now, it will not open. I re-installed from the disk, and went throught the whole process, and it said "Done". However when I double-click the icon I get the spinning color wheel for a second or two, and the icon blinks, but nothing opens. I restarted my machine, but that didn't solve anything - I got the same result.Â
I recently upgraded my Mac Pro 1,1 with the following: Â CPU Upgrade to 2 x 2.66GHz Quad Core RAM Upgrade to 14GB GFX Upgrade to ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024mb VRAM Â Everything seems fine. My temperatures are normal and things are seemingly speedy. My problem is that Photoshop CS6 seems to run a little slow. I'm only working on web files (72dpi) that are yes, sometimes quite long in length (5000px high), but that has never been an issue. Â Some problems I've noticed:When I click to edit text, it may take 2 seconds before I can start editing itWhen I scroll upwards it chugs a littleIf I grab an object/shape and drag it around too quick, it might lag a littleÂ
