I need some help taking the cowboy hat and the small mountains out of this image and making them into a vector. This logo is extremely poor quality and I've recreated all of it except those two parts in Illustrator. How do I get those two objects out of there and into a vector so I can resize them and color them as I need? I have CS2 Photoshop and Illustrator as well.
I was never good using the pen, and I need only the bird of this image, I need to vectorize it, and make it bigger...So I can change color, size, etc...I need it only bigger.
We have created a new document in illustrator, lets call it the Label. In another document I have a created logo which has been vectorized - the Logo. It is made from a font and some lines etc and then merged and vectorized. Opening the Label I make all text outlined (Type>Create Outline) but I just can't get the Logo vectorized. I have understood I need to see "a blue line and dots" following the shape of the Logo in order to know that it has been outlined.
I place the image in AI then hit the live trace button. The image changes into what appears to be vector, but remains a solid image. i.e. can not select any of the shapes or use magic wand tool?
I'm trying to vectorize an full color image that I made in Photoshop. I've tried with the original image being 600, 300, and 75 resolution, but each time I try to Live Trace it, Illustrator takes a while, erases the artboard, then tells me that there has been an unknown error (also something about not enough memory, though I'm using a really good, new computer). What am I doing wrong? And how can I vectorize this image?
So I am making a logo and I am trying to vectorize it. But, when I use the Live Trace, it messes up the lines, and makes it look like it was painted. So is there another way to vectorize my logo without the Live Trace?
How can I make the image (photo, bmp, jpeg, etc) as clear as possible to vectorize? I'm finding the more I get into this the more detail I want to add. I can't add the detail if I can't make it out.
We have a raster drawing that we're trying to vectorize using Raster Tools within Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite (Civil 3d) 2014. However the process is slow going having to convert each line within the raster drawing manually. Is there a way that Raster Tools can automatically vectorize all lines within the drawing instead of picking each and every line?
Is there a way to extract or export or convert a PDF to PSD with layers. So I'm thinking the answer may be no but I'll ask anyways. When I open the PDF in Photoshop CS5 I only see one layer. If the PDF was saved with Photoshop capabilities would I see multiple layers or is this something I need to turn on or convert it myself?
I can't extract the Photoshop CS5. Everytime I try I get :"A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder" .I've spent long hours on the phone with multiple agents trying to resolve this issue. I have WinZIP, my computer is Windows 7 Pro, etc... Still cannot get the issue resolved.
As well, while on the phone with one of the Adobe Agents, I was informed to type in: "cmd.exe" in the start menu, then once the window opened I was then informed to type: "net user administrator /active:yes". This created a whole new Administrator account for me, when I already had an Administrator account saved under my name. So now I'm stuck with two and I cannot get rid of the Administrator account that the Adobe Agent made me create. I've tried many things in reference from google. Such as: Right Clicking Computer on the startup menu then clicking manage Local Users and Groups. I then clicked Groups and tried to delete the Administrator account, however it would not allow me. Then I tried to type in "cmd.exe" in the Start Menu, once the window opened I proceeded to type: "net user administrator /active:no", and yet again it did not work.
The old, (un)reliable Extract filter is not part of Photoshop CS4, and Adobe isn't planning on bringing it back! Instead, Extract will be replaced by sometyhing altogether more powerful in future releases of the software (working alongside Refine Edge so I hear).
Luckily for anybody who's a fan of the Extract feature, Adobe are planning to make it available, for the time being, completely free of charge on the Adobe website. Also, if you have previous versions of Photoshop, you can copy and paste it from an old version into the filters folder of the new version and things should work out perfectly!
So do we have any extract users here who'll be sad to see it go?
Today i went to download some fonts for photoshop. Ive done it before and it worked but all of a sudden when i download the .zip file, the icon for it is now the photoshop icon and when i double click on the file it attempts to open in photoshop but fails saying that the type of file cant be opened there.
I have a Mac with the OSLion and I am tryign to download the adobe. Once I get to the Adobe assistant its says:
The following disk images couldn't be opened:
Master Collection error 4960
Then it says forver extracting. This happened becuase the download got interruted, my computer shut down too early. I did what other poeple said to do in the forums:
erased cookies uninstalled the adobe assistant created a different account in adobe tried to download it with Firefox and then Crome
I read in some website of using the extract tool in photoshop. But when i finally worked on it, it made be to think using pen tool was better way of making a clean cut out and changing the background.
But i still think the extract option in photoshop has some thing more. I really what to master it.
We use lot of cutouts for our feature pages. Say we need a neat cutout of a blond with hair scattered and the cutout should come clean even along the hair lines.
When i used the extract tool along the hair line, it did gave some result, but when repeated with pen tool result was some what similar. I use photoshop 7 and OS windows xp.
Have to deepatch (cut out) a horse from this pic, but it's hairs are everywhere. Also, the background doesn't differ much. Tried through channels, even quick mask pro 4.1, really run out of ideas, you tube can't help, no photoshop users that I asked can help. Can you, please?
Attached file is too small for you to see the details, don't know how to upload bigger image.
I have a picture of a friend and they need it on a white background instead of the background she is currently on.
I have done loads of research and tried using the extract tool which cos of the way her hair is didnt work, so then I attempted to use the pen tool but was left with all jagged edges.
I'm using the Extract function to highlight a section of an image I want to retain. When I click on "Preview" the section I want to retain is cut, green lines and all, and the rest of the image is retained!
i am trying to change the color of the background behind a picture and i can only figure out how to vary shades of grey. i try paint bucket and several other ways i can think of. when i try to change the color it switches right back to grey.
I'm having a problem with the extract plug-in for CS4 . It's not showing up under filters and when I try to use it from the folder it gives me this error"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"I have tried it on many different graphic images.
I have a picture I'd like to Extract. So far I have lightened it and cropped it. I have also had a look at Russell Browns QT tutorial, but I don't quite understand about channels. As far as I can see, I would benefit from using the Red Channel perhaps, but I would like your opinion on it.
Also, while I do Extract it, I'd like the image as large as possible, but once I click "Extract", the picture becomes much smaller. If I keep it as big as it is now, it will be OK, but probably not if I resize it.
At the moment, the picture is quite big, and I don't know how to get it down in size (kb) and still keep it physically big enough for you to view it. I know I can save for web, but even then, it won't go down to 75KB. What Width etc. should I set it to?
