Photoshop Elements :: Difference In Catalog File Size In Backup?
Mar 5, 2014Currently using PSE8 on pc platform.
Just out of curiosity, why is the "my catalog file" which PSE references on the local drive so much smaller a full backup of the catalog to an external drive?

Oct 14, 2013My latest battle with PSE11 is trying to access my catalog in PSE11 via the Catalog Manager but it doesn't show up in the list.
The catalog is named My Catalog 2 is located at C:ProgramDataAdobeElements OrganizerCatalogsMy Catalog 2. It is the only catalog I use and is the one that opens up when I launch Organizer. But, for the life of me, I can't get it to show up in the Catalog Manager. The only catalog that shows up is the original catalog which is at a different location and was created when I installed PSE11 on my new computer (Thinkpad W530, Windows 8). I've tried the Custom Location option and browsing to the location, but still no dice. This catalog has thousands of pictures and was converted from my previous PSE6 catalog. How do I get the Catalog Manager to find my current active catalog?

Photoshop Elements :: Burn Album To DVD In V 10?
Oct 25, 2013Right clicked on an album for "Export to DVD" and a little preview window opened & downloaded 360 images for 10-12 minutes, it closed, then I put a DVD in the tray & the program automatically started to burn to it for about 10 seconds. I checked the DVD and it only had nine images.
Tried the whole process again and got 7 images on this DVD. Why won't all 360 images in the album burn to the DVD [when they apparently all download to the "Preview" window?

Jul 6, 2013i'm a hobby sports photographer. I shot lots of fast series. After an import into organizer pics with same time stamp are arranged in random order so the series get mangled. It is no fun to bring back the correct sequence by hand for hundereds of pictures. Slideshows, Video etc. are senseless.
A simple "sort by name" would solve this. So, how to sort by name?

Sep 11, 2012I am using Photoshop Elements 8 and I successfully created and saved 3 albums and copied them to my IPAD using ITUNES. They were in the correct sorted sequence. I then went back and tried to make a best of show album with my 3 star pictures and every time I sort them and save them (with Done), they go back to the original sequence (not the one I want and I saved!). The 3 albums I created earlier are now out of sequence as well and cant be resorted either.
