If I close down PE11 (Trial) the Organizer will not restart unless the PC is shutdown and turned on again. The editor will restart without a problem but not the Organizer.

The program was working fine until I tried to import my picture files into the organizer. Ever since, it has been shutting down like this.
I tried uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalled it and the problem persists.

All worked correctly immed. after first install. Closed down PsE and then tried to reopen; the opening screen displayed and I was able to open the Organiser. Nothing happened when when I tried to open the editor from the Organiser. Closed down and then tried opening the editor from the opening screen - this screen closed and no editor appeared.
Logged off Windows and tried PsE again - all worked correctly until I closed down then as before.
Reinstall of PsE - no difference. Tried the 6 suggestions by a contributor to a similar problem 2 days ago - no difference. Premiere Elements 11 works correctly at all times.
I am running PE 10.0 under Vista Home Premium.
PE runs fine, but once I exit it, I cannot restart it until I open Task Manager and manually kill the process "Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe".
Organizer and Editor launch after computer restart. But, after exit the program, only Organizer will re-launch- Editor won't. The PSE Editor PROCESS continues to run in the Task Manager even AFTER I close the Editor. - and ONLY if I END the Process in Task Manager ( or re-start the computer) will the Editor then launch. Did a clean install. Problem continues.

I have taken the computer to Apple (under apple care) these people don't find anything wrong with the computer,but PS9 software and they are correct, is there any "plist" that needs to be trashed or updates.

Don't know if this has anything to do with this recent message in Photoshop Elements. I tried to manage photos in Elements and got the error message 150:30 and was told to restart my computer. By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !

It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.

When I go to Elements organizer, a little box comes up saying "restoring people recognition data". It shows that it has run to 22% but then stops and I have to close out the photoshop program because I can't do anything else with it.This is a brand new, expensive, program. I've had Adobe Photoshop 8 since it first came out and had no problem. I see by the chat line that the Organizer (Adobe 12) has had problems since 2009....

If I use photoshop, anytime I try to shut down my computer all I get is a spinning wheel and computer will never shut down. As soon as i start the program it starts up and disappears some seconds later. I only can see it in task manager as a process running in the background! I'm running Vista Home premium SP2. The product was working OK until about a week ago but now wont open.
I have renamed the PSA file and the Status.dat file but no luck.
I have tried to get to catalog manager by CTRL-Shift on selecting organizer from the welcome screen but it just goes back to the desktop.
The Editor appears to work but I can't access Organizer from there either--nothing happens.
I am using Photoshop Elements 12 on a new Mac using OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks. The Organizer crashes frequently while I am browsing single images and using the direction arrows to look at the next image. It will also crash when I browse the thumbnails and enlarge a single image in the organizer. There are about 26k images in my library. Some are on an auxiliary drive. I have stacked the images into about 450 stacks to try and cut down on system workload. This problem can occur with only a few hundred images in the organizer from a new download. My system has 8 GB Ram and 1 Terabyte drive which is a combination hard and Fusion drive. The crashes do not occur on every image which is enlarged, just enough to make this process very frustrating. The system restarts quickly, but I have to find the image again and it usually crashes a few more times on the same image. Last week, it took two hours to select three images for a competition and the system crashed at least a dozen times.
I have not lost any data. I have been sending the reports to Adobe. So far I have sent more than 60 reports with no automated suggestions. I am finding this product unstable and unsatisfactory.
